UPDATE on my earlier review. The shoe laces were too short but easily remedied by undoing one hole on each side. The plastic covered tongue rubbed against my ankle so I trimmed it about half an inch. Problems solved! These shoes were comfortable enough to wear for hours with thin socks. Haven’t tried Zumba dancing in them yet.

I purchased these for my Zumba classes. My knees were bothering me from all the pivoting. Once I switched to these, the pain went away. It allows the foot to pivot while not being slippery. Very light shoe, with good support!

I purchased these shoes for a Zumba class and they have been the most comfortable shoes ever. The cushion and support really work well as I dance around. I really recommend them. The size that I thought I would want wasn't available, so I sized up 1/2 size as it was available. Good decision as these are great with the socks I use. Overall, great Zumba shoes!

This was my first pair of Rykas. After I read the other reviews, I decided to order my regular size which is a 7.5 medium. I always wear a 7.5. I have worn a 7.5 M since I was 18 and, rather than give you my current age, let's just say I now qualify for senior discounts! I like the shoes, however, I think I would order an 8 next time around in Ryka. My toe goes to the very end but it is not uncomfortable. I have now done 2 aerobic classes in them and they seem fine. If they loosen a bit, so much the better. Ryka is really cheap when it comes to laces, however! I find that I have to double knot all of my Merrell's (my usual sneaker of choice) because they are the exact opposite and provide a good length of lace.
I'd also recommend:
Merrell

Width was fantastic...exactly as stated narrow at heel and wide through toe box...PERFECT! One note though...the toe seam catches your toe and is uncomfortable...this is the only drawback!

I was looking for a pair of shoes that could take me from Zumba to spin class to the weight room. I read all the reviews and decided that Rykas came the closest to what I was looking for. I ordered 2 pairs - this pair and the Ryka Devotion XT. I am returning this pair and keeping the Devotion XT. This pair did not provide the arch support and cushion under the ball of my foot that I need. Due to my bad knees and bunion operations on both feet I need a lot of cushion at the balls of my feet when I do jumping jacks or any type of jumping. I actually liked the looks of these shoes better than the Devotion XT's but I just don't think they would give me the support that I need.

I love really this shoe. In the past I have purchased the Influence and decided to try the Influence 2.5. I am so glad it did! I go to Jazzercise 5 to 7 days a week and they are very light and comfortable.

I originally bought this shoe for Zumba. Well, they didn’t work for me for that activity but I kept them anyway. These shoes have good cushioning & arch support. They do run small. I normally wear a 10 & had to go up a full size to 11.

I have narrow feet and have had trouble finding shoes that fit. I can leave the comfortable footpad in and wear my orthotics. So m Now have a bit of spring under my arch support. I got the black color and it is handsome. Had never bought this brand but really like this tie shoe. I bough5 a pai4 of the sandals and had to retu. Too wide. But tie shoes great.

I buy a half size bigger than my regular shoe so my toes have room when exercising. I recently have been fighting plantar fasciitis. This shoe gives the extra support in my heal. My feet are slowly healing.

I was looking for shoes for my aerobic dance class. Several people in the class have Ryka shoes and love them. I felt they were way too narrow for me. I searched around and finally found a New Balance shoe that fit much better. The Ryka shoe is great, but not for me.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. I'm entering into my 40s and still into high impact fitness such as Les Mills Body Attack and Combat. I was wearing a running/cross-training shoe until I googled "best shoes for Body Combat" and these popped up. Now I'm jumping, landing, stepping, planting, lunging, squatting, etc. with such stability that I didn't think was even possible!! I've had these for a few months now and I've completely worn them out... but the additional agility and ability in my fitness classes means they're worth every penny. I'm buying a replacement pair today!!

Really liked the look and feel of this shoe, but it was definitely too small. I have a narrow foot and wear an 8 in other Ryka styles I've bought, but my toes pressed up against the ends of this shoe in an uncomfortable way. Hope I can get an 8.5.

I've worn Rykas for many years and needed to find new ones for Zumba. I have wide feet and these shoes are nicely accommodating in the toe box. I did need to try a variety of sizes and continued to size down until it felt right for me. I started with 8.5 wide and they felt all wrong. I tried an 8 wide and these felt good, but almost a little too wide. I tried the 7.5 wide and these shoes felt amazing. They were lightweight, easy to move around in, and had the perfect amount of cushion. There was a decent amount of arch support and padding in the heels. I didn't feel like my heels were going to slip out. The only thing I'll need to be careful about is to not tie them too tightly. I did that when I put them on at the beginning of Zumba class and ended up with some slight cramping just behind the ball of my foot. But once I adjusted the laces, the cramping went away. For a person with wide, difficult to fit feet, these felt great right out of the box. I'll update my review if I notice them not wearing well over time, but so far, my feet feel better during Zumba than they have for a long time. These shoes also have good ventilation and the different unpadded tongue doesn't bother me.

I use these shoes for Zumba and they work really well. Lightweight, great support and pivot point on sole makes executing turns easy. Would definitely recommend.

I've only worn these for a few Oula classes, which is a cardio dance fitness class. They have nice support and cushion, and allow for movement on the floor. I had previously worn running sneakers for this class, and they have far too much grip and drag on the floor. These are a bit flatter than running shoes, and they have a pivot point on the ball of the foot so you can turn. So far so good!

My heels and arches get easily tired when my shoes do not have enough support. My new Ryka Women's Influence 2.5 look and feel great with the Curves purple highlights! I do my Curves workout and take walks and so far feel good so decided I wanted a second pair but unfortunately Ryka sold out in my size.

I think I am on my 3rd pair of this particular style! For me this is a dependable shoe with comfort, stability and support. The black version has just enough white to set off and look sharp. These are my dependable "slow and steady" workout shoes that help me stay consistent.
