I had a pair of brown leather Keens that the strap let go in the middle one day, so I got these to replace them.
Wow did I discover how loose and clunky my old Keens were, as compared to these Rialto's!
I always felt like the old Keens were kind of clunky, heavy, bulky especially at the toe... almost bulbous feeling.
The Rialto's are SO MUCH more sleek and form fitting, but without being over tight.
I DO have the bungee straps loosened all the way and that fits my wide feet just fine.
I was easily able to adjust the heel strap for length, being velcro, so that they're just the right fit to slip on and off with a finger.
Like my previous Keen's, I really wanted my pinkie toes to be well protected, since some shoes seemed to have a gap right in that spot and were not comfy, these closed toe Rialto's are perfect, protecting where they should and letting my feet get some air where they can.
I love the suededed leather outers and the look and feel of them externally, and the Black/Gray goes with anything I put on.
The foot bed cushion and grip are the Number One reason I love these shoes though. When I put these on, they feel like Super Shoes! Hahaha. They feel like they softly grip my foot from below, which is amazing compared to what I am used to.
Light weight, Athletic, Snug yet Breathable.
When wet, they grip even better, whereas my leather sole Keen's made my foot slide around insider there, which is probably why they tore out at the side after several years of service, mostly running around town, but some hiking/gorge waterfall trekking. :)
If you liked your old Keens, you have to try these. I'm actually telling people about them for no reason other than they're so damn comfy.

My 8 year old pair of Newport H2s finally wore out last year so I replaced them with the Rialto H2s. The Rialto is less bulky than the Newport and due to the adjustable fit feel much more like tennis shoes, in fact when I wear them were ankle socks they even look like technical tennis shoes rather than sandals! The foam foot bed is a little bit of a double edged sword; the overall comfort is improved but as others as mentioned they don't dry out as quickly as the Newports. I haven't had any rubbing issues around the ankle strap as others have reported. I'm pretty happy with them, they definitely feel like an upgrade.

My new Rialtos are a dream come true!
I bought some Newport H2 sandals a few years ago,, I will fill you in on those first. I loved the Newports, but I have a very high arch. Since the heel strap was not adjustable, the only way I could them on was to use a shoe horn. Not a cool accessory to carry, and frankly a big pain. The Newports were fine once I wrestled my way into them, but I didn't wear them often for that reason.
And then...meet the Rialto H2! With a Velcro heel strap! Life is good..
The Rialtos feel a bit narrower, but true to size. They are not quite as clunky looking on my feet, which I appreciate. The new footbed is so soft, it feels like gel. My foot doesn't slide around in them when they get wet. Another improvement compared to just plain rubber.
I got the brown/orange ones, which look better than the pictures. Altogether, a perfect sandal for me..

I do believe this is otherwise a great shoe, - BUT Keen has no business labeling this (and the shoe actually has a sewn-in label) as a "WATERPROOF" shoe. The only shoes that are truly waterproof are hunter's waders, rain-boots, and flip-flops. I bought these shoes believing them to be 'waterproof' as advertised, - because I was going on a three-week diving/hiking trip. The inside soles on these shoes took four days to dry and they smelled terribly. I had to double-wrap them in plastic to prevent stinking up my luggage. I DO NOT recommend this shoe if you intend to get it wet, - and then want to wear it around afterwards in a dry-environment and expect them to be dry. They won't be. I was disappointed by their claim that they're 'waterproof'. Yes, they continue to "operate" as a shoe when wet, - but they don't resist water like a true 'waterproof' shoe should, - and they certainly don't dry out fast at all.

I got these for my boyfriend to wear when he kayaks. He really enjoyed them and the fit. He has wider flatter feet so we generally go with altra brand for running and athletic shoes. These shoes worked well his duck feet as we like to call them!

I usually purchase the Newport H2 but took a look at these. Absolutely love them! They are much lighter and offer more adjustment over the arch support area due to the Velcro back strap. They also have more cushion in on the bottom. I only wish they came in more colors. Note: they feel a half size too long.

I have wide feet and Keens are perfect for me. I have worn this brand for over 10 years and I think is is the most comfortable pair I've ever owned. The foot bed cushions better than any pair I've had before, but it isn't so soft you feel like you lose support.

The new shoes are great! I wish these came in women's sizes as well, but I just ordered 1 size smaller. Nice construction, very comfortable. The insole is removable, which is great.
They are a little hot wearing them with socks compared to the Keens with the "rubber" footbed that is not removable. We'll see how they do in the summer, but since I tend to wear them all year long, it's great for fall!
I also ordered the Rialto (not H2) which seem to be wider. I definitely recommend this new Keen style. The rubber toe is not as large either, so they look nicer! As per most Keen shoes, they are comfortable from day 1. New shoes make for happy feet!

The last Keen sandals I bought, (Newports) while fitting great and being comfortable, were a chore to get on my feet. Apparently Keen thinks I have a fat foot and I wrote them off. But, then I saw that the Rialto had an adjustable back strap and thought I'd give then a try. At least as comfortable as the Newports, but, much easier to put on. A great sandal!

These Rialtos are very comfortable right out of the box. I've only had them a short time and haven't done any long hikes or anything, but the walking around town etc that I've done has been a great experience. I will probably grab another pair before they stop making them...Like they did the Aruba! Bring back the original Aruba!

I have worn Keen sandals for years, but recent "foot issues" motivated me to search for an athletic sandal with more arch support, cushioning in the foot bed and stability. Inserting a modest orthotic in my previous Keen sandal didn't work. I see the Rialto H2 has been available for couple years, according to other reviews. However, I "discovered" this sandal only recently when a helpful clerk in a large sports store (think one consonant, two vowels) called my attention to its removable cushioned footbed, metatarsal arch, velcro heel strap and less obvious rubber toe cap. Aaah! It should last for years of rocky hikes, muddy trails, watery adventures... But for this grandmother, these Rialto H2s will be providing the comfort and support for walking to the dog park, navigating big box stores, gardening and travel. Thanks to Zappos for having my size. Arrived quickly.

I bought these shoes for some light hiking in some areas that I was anticipating being wet. These shoes were very comfortable and I didn't have any blisters or other foot ailments. I would absolutely buy these again and highly recommend them.

I bought these to replace a pair of Keens my husband wore out after 8 yrs. They are much lighter and since he has a high arch the addition of Velcro strap on back of heel makes it very easy for him to put on. He wears them daily and I like the looks of the Rialto H2 in diablo red. BTW, he dictated this review. Yay Zappos for great customer service and speedy delivery!

These are the best Keens for all outdoor adventuring bar none! The back heel velcro strap does its job easy on easy off. The construction is where it is all at. Materials combined with forward straight thinking about placement on the shoe is spot on. Extra guard on the toes, plenty of breathability, easy lace system, and such a comfy out of box footbed. I wore these trout fishing, canoeing, hiking, rock scrambling, and even doing light yard work and they rock!

My new Rialtos delivered perfectly on a recent hike. I wanted a shoe that would allow me to hike on land and in the water. The shoes gave me great support as I trekked down to a creek and hot springs. I had a light pack but my Rialtos kept my feet protected from the trail and had arch support to provide cushion while hiking down the trail. Once I arrived at the creek, the crossing through frigid water was safe and secure with my Rialtos. The back straps with Velcro allowed me to easily remove my socks and go from trail mode to water mode. Finally, making my way in and out of the hot spring pools found in a rock outcropping was no longer treacherous because of these amphibious
footwear. An outstanding investment to keep my feet protected and a shoe that grips great on both land and in water!

Recently I purchased these sandals for a vacation trip to the Mississippi Headwaters. Without a doubt, these are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn, and perfect for wet or rainy conditions. While I normally take a B or Narrow width, these Keen Rialto H2 sandals fit great, with just a little extra room in the toe area. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and buying from Zappos makes it even easier.

I normally wear size 10.5, but it was not available. I opted for the larger size 11. It turned out to be a good choice. They fit well. The interior foot pad is much more comfortable than the sandals these are replacing.

Really great sandals, of the highest quality and made in Oregon! Way better than my older keen sandals in terms of flexibility. Love the velcro adjustments on the back strap. Once adjusted for my feet they are quick on and off, but you couldn’t possibly pull them straight off. The toe caps keep out the small stones that have always plagued me in open toe sandals. They took one day of breaking the sandals and my feet in to work well together (I did get the start of blisters on the balls of my tender feet after walking in them on my very first day of ownership 4 miles on pavement in Boston in nearly 100 degree temperatures ... fixed that with duct tape as poor man’s moleskin to get through the day). But, I then immediately wore them every day for 2 weeks while traipsing around Portugal including the notoriously hilly cobblestone streets of Lisbon and Porto and the various beaches nearby and scrambling around rocky Celtic ruins in Galicia, Spain. Highly recommended.

True to size. I wear a men's size ten and have a narrow foot. These sandals fit perfectly! Comfortable, easy to hike in all terrain, including fording streams.

I can't get my high arch into Keen sandals
with the back that does not open. My Brother in Law loves Newports, so I thought I would try the Rialto since it opens in the back. Unfortunately the shape of the shoe and the shape of my foot do not agree. I have Keen clogs and walking shoes, but these just won't work unfortunately.

Most importantly, I always wear either a 9 1/2 or a 10. I purchased a pair, 9 1/2 and they fit perfectly. biggest plus is the insole of the shoe, which felt amazing while climbing ancient Mayan pyramids, hiking through the jungle or just walking down the street. would recommend to all who need wet/dry hiking footwear!

Found the fit to be true to size. This is the first pair of Keens I have owned. They are very comfortable. I have seen reviews which say the arch is high but I do not find that to be the case. It is just right.
