Good stability shoe. Have a tailor's bunion and Dr recommended a wider shoe. The wide for this shoe was too wide in the whole shoe so ordered my regular size and all was well. I wear medium weight socks. Initially, the heel area, although cushioned, felt very hard when walking. Switched insole out for a Powerlift low and that felt much better. Wanted a good shoe for winter. Wore them in 4 " of snow and feet dry and warm Still getting used to the slightly higher heel area, but they are comfortable and keepers.

I’ve gone through 2 pairs of the Dansko Helen, and needed a replacement for everyday walking and light hiking. This comes close. Though not walk all day comfortable right out of the box, it has started to break in after just two wears. Pinky toe feels a little constricted but overall really good support and cushioning. Not as stylish as the Helen but I’m sacrificing a little form for function.

I love these except for the stiff back piece. My foot does not go "in" (towards my ankle) like other people's must. Those back pieces keep cutting into my lower calf, I can't take a comfortable step. I so wish shoes companies did not build up this area on a shoe.

The 6.5 - 7 size is more truly a 7. The Wide width is great, very wide! Roomy toe box. The Dansko insoles are very good and supportive. I had taken them out to use my insoles but theirs fit better. The color is a very deep navy blue. The laces are a good length, might be a bit too long.

Was very comfortable and light on my feet. I just hope they still feel this way 6 months from now.

I wanted to love these. The navy suede was nice, and they were super cushy and supportive. The problem was the tongue and collar were very stiff, and came up high on the front of my ankle. It hurt enough that these are going back.

Zappos did not have the wide version, which I suspected I needed, so I tried the medium anyway. Wore them for about 4 hours around my apartment doing tasks before I dared wearing them to work (where I walk the whole shift). They would have been perfect except for my squished pinky toes. Ordered the wide from Amazon and they are good at work!. *Heads up though: even though they say “slip resistant” on the shoe itself, they are not nearly as slip resistant as other slip resistant shoes I have. They are more comfortable but not as slip resistant and I have to be very careful. Used my own customized orthotic so can’t speak to arch support.

I loved the first pair so much I purchased a second pair. The second pair proved not to be as comfy as the first pair.

Too narrow for me.

I normally wear a 38 in Dansko clogs. I find with their sandals and shoes, I need to go up to 39. In this style, the 39 gives me plenty of room for thicker socks. I was also able to take out the insole and use my own orthotic. With the Dansko insole, I didn’t feel I had enough arch support. I am skeptical about them being water proof but they should be okay for walking the dog in the rain. One odd note…when I took them out of the box, the lacing was impossible to adjust. I had to take the laces out completely and redo them so I could adjust them. While not a trainer, the style is very sporty.

My only complaint is that these are not True Black. They have a Blue-ish tone to them. I ordered another pair elsewhere, and they are Truly Black. Worn them, so I’m stuck with them. Great shoe otherwise.

These felt great just standing and walking slowly or at a moderate pace, but for some bizarre reason, when I walked at a brisk pace in these, it felt like they were going to make my plantar fasciitis flare up in a major way. I also wish that the base of the heel were wider and didn't curve in toward the surface that contacts the ground. Felt like an ankle sprain waiting to happen.

I love this shoe but it runs big. Returned it for a 1/2 size smaller and they fit perfectly!

The arch support was great but the fore foot area was just too tight.

I may reorder these at another time

Very, very comfortable, with excellent support. These are the second pair I've purchased. The only surprise was the purple edge on the black shoes that I didn't notice before buying. Still, they are so very comfortable I can't complain.

I got these in walnut which was a beautiful color. I have concluded that Dansko shoes are too wide for me. I usually wear a medium width in shoes, but my heel slipped in these. Otherwise they were great and I almost kept them, but since I wanted them for long walks comfort is paramount ,and the heel slippage would have led to blisters.

These shoes are made very well. I always wear a 39 (size 8.5-9) in Dansko but these were just too small. I was able to put them on with thin socks but at this price point , I needed a better fit. Sent these back and might order a size up but hesitating because I feel they might be too big.

very solid shoe. Ran a tiny bit small. Was hoping for more arch support, something comparable to their sandals

When I purchased this shoe , planned for this to be my garden shoe, but unfortunately had to return. Good quality shoe, just not the fit for my feet. I love most of Dansko shoes. Thanks again Zappos for convenience of the return.

Hurt in the toes

This is my 4th pair and for some reason this shoe felt much wider and was loose at the back of my heel. Can't understand why the same shoe fits so different. I am returning them.

I’ve had these shoes for a week, bought them for work. I am on my feet 10 hours a day at work. These shoes are very supportive and pretty comfortable. The soles are a bit hard but I’m sure they just need done more time to break in. I love the inch of cushion and height they provide! The soles are made of the high tech vibram material. A bit expensive but I am happy with my purchase.

NIce shoes but quite stiff. In the end I chose another pair that was lighter and a style I liked better.
