I wanted to love these, unfortunately I don't. The toe comfort and warmth is great, as is the grippy tread. The issue is that the hard rubber ends right at the top of the heel, unlike older style bogs where it goes up a little higher. It creates a "rubbing" on the back of your heel and makes the fabric upper bend strangely at the heel. When you walk around it's weird and clown-like with the fabric bending back and forth. I love the older Bogs styles but wanted this new style specifically for the extra tread. Wish I had stuck to the classic.

I was very hopeful. I have been looking for tall Bogs to replace a tall pair I bought 13 years ago. This boot shaft is 14 inches tall and with the handle cutouts, are 11 inches tall. My old pair was 17-19 inches tall. Not what I am searching for winter beach days. Also the shaft is very narrow particularly around the ankle, so difficult to tuck pants in. I had to return them and wrote a letter to Bogs customer service to bring back the truly tall boots

Love the style however I feed cattle in winter weather and have been somewhat disappointed in the warmth of these boots. My toes still get cold!

I wear a 7.5. The boot I bought is a 7 and I still have room in it so I need to wear thick socks. The insulation only keeps my feet warm for about 30 minutes

The good first, stylish and comfy! BUT they state these boots (on the tag!) are -40F/-40C, which doesn't make sense. And even at just 30F my toes get cold. I'm not one to leave reviews often, but felt I needed to point that out. Also, the traction is no good. I'm using them for rain boots mostly.

I like these boots but they are a little more clunky than I thought they would be and the gusset inside the zipper shows! Really?? I would think the gusset flap inside the zipper could have been trimed so that it doesn't show above the top of the boot!

Unfortunately, after putting jeans and heavy sock on my kegs and into the boot, the top of the boot was too tight on my calf.

tight in the calf. It doesn't have much give in the material

Wife loves the boots but not sure how they will hold up. Metal grommet came off after first time wearing.

3 stars because the calf part of the boot is on the small side.

Very comfortable. Tight on my legs though so can't wear anything besides leggings with them.

I live in Washington state on the Key Peninsula. It rains a lot in Washington and even more on the Key Peninsula. I bought these boots because they will keep my feet warm while spending time outside. In the grass, woods, mud, on the beach, etc. I bought all of my grandchildren; ages 2, 3, 4 a pair for Christmas so that when they come to visit, they always have the right shoes. They love their boots and where them all the time. They are easy to take on and get off and easy to clean.
Unfortunately I had to return my first pair because, although I am usually a size 7 and sometimes a 7.5, the size 7 Crandall Tall boot caused all of my toes to almost immediately fall asleep. Whether I was standing, sitting, walking, etc. I have since returned them and am hopefully getting the size 8 as a replacement. I am keeping my fingers crossed they will feel good and not cause circulation issues. I do not have wide or skinny feet and the length was just fine.

Comfortable and nice looking, however they leak. My socks are wet after my walk in moist grass. Very, very disappointed. Walks in the Pacific Northwest require water proof boots.

I've had these in use for about a muddy month now. I like that they are light weight yet provide a sole with good traction. I've always had Muck boots and decided to try these. They don't seem to be as warm as Muck boot and the top is not as wide so they are a bit harder to get in and out of with jeans on. The size is true so not lots of room for big heavy socks. Will see how long they last!

The footbed felt wonderful in these, but the top of the boot was too small for me...I couldn't get them over my calves without stretching them. There's enough flex in the top to do this, which gave me a snug fit, but tucking jean legs in was impossible. If you want a snug fit to wear with leggings or if you have small calves, these would be great. If you have average size calves and want a looser fit around the top, maybe not. I returned these and ordered a different style Bogs with a lower shank.

These were good looking and comfortable but they did not work for me. I’m usually not a wide leg, but the very top was just slightly too tight around the calf to wear over jeans or other skinny pants. Also, they came with what appeared to be some type of scuffing or wear all around the lower back, though in looking at the soles, it was clear they had not been worn.

Wanted a warm winter boot for outings with my two kids. My husband loved his bogs so... Got as a gift, and was nowhere near as warm as expected. I usually am a 9.5 so got a 10...too big but needed the room for big socks so kept. Still rubs on my ankles (too tight) and too big around the calves (so let's in cold air), and too big in the foot so my feet FREEZE after an hour in nowhere near the recommended temp rating. Feel like I need a sock insert for warmth. Had previously had the softer, lighter weight version and find those keep my feet warmer even though they have a lower temp rating. Overall very disappointed in this version would not purchase again, especially for the cost...not worth it.

I’m bummed I have to return these. The top hits the widest part of my calf and I don’t have huge calves. I wore them around the house for a few hours and it’s just too tight around the calf. I wish these came up just a little bit, then I think it wouldn’t be a problem. I also got the Charlie melange, these weirdly fit better in the calf.

I wear these shoes for the cold weather, few times a week. The keep my feet warm, but they bother the back of my feet. I have to wear thick socks to keep them from rubbing against the back of my ankles.

Loved the ease and style, but they felt more like garden Wellies than snow boots. Not warm enough for me. Too bad!

I really liked the style of these boots and I loved how soft the insides were, but they were so uncomfortably tight on my calves that I had to return them.

boot. Even with double sock my feet were very cold within 30 min in 30degree weather. Had to exchange for warmer ones

Wanted a stylish looking snow boot rather than working mucks -was narrower in the foot and smaller circumference in opening and shorter so it felt tight since it fit lower on the calf than the working type boots. Thankfully it fits my daughter so it was not a wasted purchase

I wanted to love these boots and was very happy they were rated to -40 degrees as my feet get cold easily. I bought these instead of fur lined traditional boots, thinking they'd be a good fit for our milder winters in Seattle. Unfortunately, I have to wear at least 2 pairs of thick socks with these otherwise my feet are cold. With only 1 pair of wool socks, my feet freeze at temperatures around 30-40 degrees.
Pros--they are warmer than my non-insulated rubber rain boots, but definitely not what I was looking for in a winter boot.
