I am loyal to Dansko and I wanted so much to keep these boots. They are very stylish. I love the look and they can be worn with almost anything. I've bought Dansko shoes many times before, but the toe box on these boots is much narrower than the other Danskos I own. In all other respects, the boot was very comfortable with proper overall support and extra cushioning beneath the heel and over the ball-of-foot area. But the toe box is narrow and without much give so the feet hurt after wearing them for too long. I still gave four stars overall because apart from the narrow toe box, these boots are awesome and they might make someone else very happy.

Great booties BUT - they're HUGE!! I wear an 8 or 8.5 and ordered the 39. I could fit a full finger in behind my heel with my foot slid forward to the front of the boot. Also, I have narrow heels and the heel area of this bootie is GAPING wide! Not sure how no one else reviewed it this way. Anyhow, overall nice looking and super comfy but wish they were not so dang big. Feels like my feet are floating in them and the grip on the heel sucks. But I'm going to try them in the next size down and see how that fits.

Purchased in the taupe as I wanted a short boot in this color that isn't like every other short taupe boot. These are cute. Re comfort, I have foot issues, so they are moderately comfortable for me. One issue I noticed was they rub a bit on my leg. I think they could have more give or be cut differently in the front to allow for walking without rubbing.

A few seasons ago I purchased the Renee Kid Suede bootie in a size 39. They've been great shoes but it was time for something new so I purchased the Shirley in a size 39. They're pretty roomy, about a half size too big. Maybe a 38 would have been a better fit even though 38's in Danskos have always been a touch too tight. I usually wear an 8 and occasionally an 8-1/2. If I wear heavy socks with these booties, they fit better.

I really hate to send these Dansko Shirley shoes back! They're gorgeous, have a comfortable foot bed and are well made. However, I had to come to grips with the fact that I just cannot wear a 2.5 inch heel anymore. I will say the eleven was just a teensy smidge short for my long toes. I think with time the shoe would have stretched a bit to become a comfortable fit. However, I just can't wear that high of a heel due to back issues. Bye, bye, Shirley ;)

I love how these look even more in person, and I'm heartbroken that they don't fit. I own several other pairs of Danskos in size 38, but when I received these ones, the front of the shoe felt perfect but my heel kept slipping up and down like crazy in the back. I tried using the buckle at the side to adjust and wearing thicker socks, but neither helped.

This pair of Dansko isn't as comfortable as the other style I have, mainly because I think it lacks the arch support. But I have worn them to work twice, once with thicker socks which seemed to help. Super cute though!

These booties are very cute but I don't think they are as comfortable as the Dansko clogs. My feet do fatigue in these shoes much quicker than in my clogs, so I am a little disappointed with that. However, even though they aren't as comfy, my plantar fasciitis has not been bothered, so I'll take that any day!

Overall these boots were good and felt comfy right out of the box. They come up above the ankle which made above my lower leg a little sore. Because they are leather, maybe they just needed breaking in. I am a tall person and I think perhaps I am suited for a shorter heel that meets my arch; therefore I returned them. I hated it because they look amazing with jeans and you can dress them up or down.

I am used to wearing Dansko clogs and this is definitely a different fit. Well made and stylish, but too much heel (with the arch support not hitting my foot right) so these have to go back.

These boots are cute. But, as a longtime Dansko wearer, I agree with some other reviewers who said they are too expensive for the quality. The fit is off. They're comfortable for standing -- but the soles make a ridiculous slapping sound as you walk. Head-turning for all the wrong reasons! Overall ... just weird. Not up to the usual excellent Dansko quality. My only regret is not returning them right away.

Dansko's are my go to shoe these days. I was looking for casual booties for the spring. Unfortunately, I found these to be chunky and the side of the shoe rubbed uncomfortably against my toes. Not my favorite shoe.

I ordered up and still the boot felt small. (Also, there are marks across the top, like someone had tried them on previously and wore the boots for a while. :- /

This shoe almost worked for me. I liked the wedge look, and I thought it felt really supportive. My issue was the instep. It was way too tight for me. I do have a high in-step, but my toes were numb after wearing this for a little while. I thought I could make it work, but these are going back.

I loved the style and think they would have been quite comfortable and I do not wear heals any longer. Love the wedge heal and they looked so cute on. My big issue is the fit. Dansko is selling a fairly costly shoe and the size options are like that of a sock or slipper 8.5 to 9, then something is wrong. I wear an exact 9, not an 8.5 to 9....a 9. Which means that these were small enough to fit an 8.5 but not quite a perfect 9. Then it jumps to a 9.5-10. I might be able to work a 9.5 in with thicker socks but definitely not a 10! Too bad for me. Gave it a 3 star due to crappy sizing.

I found these to be too clunky. They looked nice, but I couldn't get passed the clunking sound and feeling when I walked in them.

Wanted to love these - ordered based on my Birkenstock size - 40 - but they felt tight. Considered reordering a 41 just to see if it helped but not sure it's worth the price if they didn't feel perfect in my normal size right off the bat. So sadly I am returning them.

I have several pair of Danskos and always wear size 40 until now. These really hurt my feet and my toes felt squished. I tried thinner socks which helped some but not enough to keep them. I may try a larger size but very disappointed.

These boots were so stiff I could hardley get my foot in.

These feel great but the color is not at all like the picture. The gray is really more like a dull brown and not as chic as I'd hoped. I'm returning. Possibly for the black.

May a little bit shorter for ankle boot.

A longtime fan of Dansko, I wore out a pair of pros after 8 years (actually wore a hole through the toe). I've never loved the pro xp pair I bought as a replacement like I loved that original pair. I've had success with some of their flats/casual shoes, but not with other styles of clogs, due to my wide feet. I was cautiously optimistic about the Shirley bootie. They fit! They're pretty comfortable once I got used to walking with a wedge, but sometimes it feels like my foot is sliding forward and I don't think that's doing my feet any favors. My biggest gripe is that the right shoe is SO noisy. It makes a pretty loud squishy-squeak sound when I walk, so for the cost of the shoes, I'm mildly annoyed at this inconvenience. Not sure I would buy again, but I really wanted a between-seasons shoe, so this is it.

These looked cute online but were big and clunky in person. The footbed didn't feel like a typical Dansko shoe either. These will be going back.

This is a cute little boot that would look good with dresses.
