His backpack is perfect for someone who just brings the necessities for school. You laptop, 2 binders and a notebook of course including pencils and pen. You can put your 32-40 ounce water bottle (hydra flask is what I use) on the side of the backpack with no issue. The only issue I see is that you can fit a really thin sweater only nothing to big. There isn't much space included to put stuff on top. I recommend to plan according for what the day brings for you. Other then that the padding is sensational and super comfortable, i meal prep and I manage to put one of my meals inside too which is great would recommend is the sweater won't be a issue for you.

Fast shipping. I got he black/grey/red color way and I love the way this backpack looks. The quality of this backpack is very nice and shouldn't be any less considering the fact that it is North Face.

I fly all the time, and needed a pack to organize my carry on items (i.e. - laptop, cables, headphones, external battery, etc.). This pack has just enough organization capabilities, while also allowing just enough free space for loose items (i.e. - light jacket). I also like that it has a convenient felt-lined external pocket (for wallet, cell phone, etc), and also water bottle pockets on each side (although, I typically use one for my sunglass case). If I were to have any criticisms, the internal pockets are a little tight, so I assume they just need a little breaking in to slide items in/out more easily. Also, it would be great if there was a netted internal pocket on the flap. Just seems like a logical place to have one. Even with those two issues, I gave it 5 stars. Very comfy practical, and at a solid price point.

Pretty awesome bag for commuting or packing two days of trip. The only down side is it doesn't not have a lot of pockets but has plenty of spots for carabineer to hang keys and stuff. Has hip belt that I really like. Overall a good bag

Great everyday daypack. Very clean and modern looking. The only thing I wish it had was a little more pockets then I would given it a 5 star.

I was looking for a small, lightweight backpack to commute with on the subway. I usually have my chrome book, notepad, water bottle, computer accessories, and other small items. I previously had a 40L backpack and it was just way too big. This sits nicely on my back and is very lightweight. I do wish there were some more pockets/zippered areas to separate things better but there's enough to get by.

Great casual bag for everyday use. Just one pocket so not the best if you carry a lot. Great for a laptop, binder and a book or two. Very sleep and clean design, and comfortable to wear.

I love the look and style of this backpack, but it is a challenge to hold all the items I need for daily uses.

This is a great backpack! I use it on daily train commutes to NYC and love the slim profile. The gray color is gorgeous. Mesh pockets on the side are great for holding a water bottle in one and umbrella in the other.
The removable waste strap is another nice feature. I don't like having straps dangling all over the place.
The only slight negative is the chunky zipper. I understand it's meant to be rugged but it's almost too rugged for daily use (a little difficult to open/close smoothly). I'm still very happy with it and don't regret the purchase one bit.

I use the backpack for school and it's great just don't like that there aren't many pockets and it is quite stiff.

It is a dependable backpack for everyday use as well as backpacking. The pockets/holders are a little tight and putting things into the pockets are definitely a squeeze, but it keeps the items secure. Only downside is that it has only one big opening/zipper and would prefer to have maybe one smaller pouch available in this kind of style. Overall great, sturdy product.
