I would live in slippers if I could. In search of the perfect slippers, I purchased 6 different styles all in medium width: Acorn Spa Wrap Acorn New Spa Thong Acorn Scuff --- 2ND PLACE Acorn Spa Slide II --- 1ST PLACE - AWESOME -THE BEST! Tempur-Pedic Raelynn Tempur-Pedic Windsock I wear a size 8-8.5 in a sneaker/regular shoe depending on brand. I ordered slipper sizes accordingly. First let me say, the Tempur-Pedics, while nice did not seem to have the cushion I was looking for in comparison to some of the Acorn's. I returned both Tempur-Pedics. I thought the Acorn Spa Wrap was going to be the one, but strangely enough they seemed to scrunch my toes and the back kept slipping off. Switch sizes, still not a good fit - returned. The Acorn New Spa Thong was very nice and had a lot of cushion. If i didn't have a Morton's neuroma between my 2nd & third toe on left foot, I would have kept these but thought the thong might bother that issue after a while. Returned those. So that leaves the Acorn Scuff and Acorn Spa Slide II. I kept both of these. I got a Women's size 8-9 (Large) in the Acorn Scuff and they fit well. The medium was too short. This slipper has good cushion, but no where near as much cushion IMO as the Acorn Spa Slide II. The only reason I kept the Acorn Scuff is because they have toe coverage for winter and I chose the Rust Ocelo (animal type print) so when they got dirty, they wouldn't look so shabby. These are my "back up" slippers. On to the Acorn Spa Slide II - These are absolutely the most comfortable slippers I've ever worn. The foot bed cushion is around 1.0-1.25" deep. I've only had them for about a month and cushioning (foam) doesn't seem to be flattening. I hope it stays that way. I have washed them once in the machine and they came out beautiful. I chose the "Natural" color (basically white) so when they get dirty I can use non-chlorine bleach. I initially purchased Women's size Large (8-9) but they were about 1 inch too long on the foot bed and I couldn't adjust the Velcro closure across the top tight enough to make it snug. I returned Large 8-9 and purchased size Medium 6.5-7.5 which fit perfectly, even though my regular size is 8-8-1/2. Go figure, same Brand but different styles = two different sizes. I would like to see these offered in more colors, perhaps a few darker colors. Apologies for such a long review. Hopefully this info will help someone in their search for a great pair of slippers!

As two prior reviews mentioned, the design of these Acorn spa slippers has most unfortunately changed. I have been wearing these slippers for about 15 years but now I am not as pleased with the current design. The velcro flap is much narrower and makes the slippers feel more unstable on the feet plus not being as warm for the feet in cooler weather or in cold A/C. Even the padding under the feet is nowhere near as soft as it used to be. Now the surface feels hard under the feet whereas they used to make my feet feel like they were walking on a cloud. I had another new pair of these slippers which I had not worn so I got them out to compare them with the new design of the slippers and even just with my fingers I can feel a big difference in the softness. Why do companies have to ruin a good product after it has been so wonderful for years?

Why fix it, if it ain't broke? I thought the Acorn Spa Slide was an exceptional slipper and I loved it. Why try "improve" on it? The Acorn Spa Slide II is not as soft and strap that goes across the top of the foot is narrower making the slipper not stay on as well and not as warm. Since my Spa Slide's are worn out from constant wear, I'll keep the Spa Slide II but I really wish they would go back to making the original.

When I bought this, I thought I was buying the "New Spa Slide", which is my favorite slipper. But this is slightly different. I'm not sure why, but this is not as comfortable as the other. My foot slides around in this one, even when I tighten the velcro. I think the actual shoe bed is narrower.

These are very soft, attractive, comfortable slippers. I had the older version before and needed to replace. I do prefer the previous styling over this one. The flap is not as wide as before. I have a narrow foot and having the wider flap made my foot feel more secure.

I have worn these nonstop since I got them. My house has no carpet and my feet start to hurt after walking/standing on hard floors all day, these are so soft and cushiony so I don’t have that problem anymore. I also love the slide style, I have a pair of Ugg slippers with a closed toe that make my feet too hot to wear all day so I needed a better option. These are perfect.

These slippers are extremely comfortable. Best of all they are adjustable, so if you are not wearing any socks or are wearing thick socks, you can adjust the fit so the slippers don't slide. So comfortable that I sometimes almost walk out the door wearing them.

Needed a spare pair of slippers so I ordered this style. My other Acorn slippers are the thong design which has a very flexible sole. I have not worn the new ones for an extended time but I am a little concerned because the sole is not as flexible....Hope they are comfortable.

I normally wear an 8.5 because my feet are wide. When the shoe is wide, I can wear an 8 or even a 7.5. Because the width of this slipper is adjustable, I ordered size 6.5-7.5; the overall length of this slipper is 10" and it fits with length left over. I chose white and would NOT pick it again. Even though I don't wear wear these with dirty feet, the fabric seems to find hidden dirt and pull it out of my skin and deposit it in the footbed, so it looks grungy. After 3 weeks, they've been washed once and need it again. Machine washing is possible, but they didn't get completely clean. Air drying took longer than overnight. I made the mistake of wearing them outside--the sole is solid and wearing them outdoors is mentioned in the description. What is not mentioned is that the shoe picks up everything... grass, sticks, foxtails, burrs, dirt and anything else you might walk past. Some of it comes out easily, but burrs and foxtails get embedded and are a nightmare if they land in the footbed. If you live in any level of nature, I think you won't want to set foot outside your door in these.

I had previously been a fan of the original Acorn Spa Slide and had bought them for years. However, I felt that my feet slid around too much in them. When the Acorn Spa Slide II came out, I decided to try them. They are my new favorites! The narrower flap works much better for me and I will continue to buy them.

I loved these slippers years ago. We called them "Eleanor's" after my Mom. I had originally bought them for her, but loved them so much I bought a pair, then another girl friend bought them and on and on it went. I moved over the the flip flop style and loved those too. Now I have some issues with my toes, so back to The Eleanor's. They have changed over the years. I have a very narrow foot, so had to buy the 5/6 size. I'm a 6.5 - 7 in most shoes. I knew these would run big based on reviews... the smallest size fits perfectly and I'm happy once again. Just wish they had them in my size in darker colors as I know they are going to start looking nasty in a matter of a few months.

I finally found the slippers I like after trying gazillion others. Sorry Zappos, I remember I had to return a couple of pairs to you guys as well. These ones feel plush and so comfortable. It's almost like walking on a pillow.

I have been ordering and wearing these slippers for years. They are he BEST!

I like the fact that these slippers have a very cushy footbed and an adjustable strap to customize the fit. There's also a decent tread on the sole for good traction, no slipping!

Very disappointed, I had been buying this Acorn slipper for many years and it was comfortable and supportive, but this latest one is nothing of the kind. Feels completely different, no arch support or cushioning underfoot. Why the manufacturer wants to change something that doesn't need changing?

I have had these same slipper for many years and I loved them in the past. For the past few times I have ordered them, the company seems to have changed the design. They no longer have a nice cushion bed and seem very hard to walk on and the strap across the top of the foot is narrower and again, less cushioning. I am keeping them because I need them in the house because we are not out as much because of the virus. Wish they would have kept their original design.

The pile was very slippery, and the narrow strap across the top did not hold my foot in the slipper. It slipped sideways off the slipper. Not safe. With the height of the sole, it could result in a fall or injury.

These slippers are fantastic! I've been wearing them around the house for about a week now. They are extremely comfortable and the adjustable velcro closure makes for a perfect fit.
