The Keen Targhee II looks good and like all Keens, would be comfortable to wear. The description advised ordering a half size larger than your usual size which is what I did. The arch support felt like it hit where it should, but my heel slipped when I walked in them. I could easily put my finger between my heel and the back of the shoe. Unfortunately, I had to return them.

I was surprised at the lack of support. No arch support at all. Sizing was good, but I felt no support at all. Disappointing

These felt decent for width and had good support. After wearing them for two weekends hiking around, my feet still ache thinking about these & are not comfortable enough for every day wear, and my biggest frustration is tying them (the laces slip, and it’s hard to get a good tightness when first putting on; I wish there was a spot just a little higher than the highest hole to lace it. Challenge to take off at end of the day (and to put on at start of the day). but at the same time, the start of the day. BUT I am glad that I got them. They’re great for grip, offer the best support of the shoes I was able to try (access and wide feet) and feel stable when I walk around without feeling hugely clunky. REALLY wish they had velcro closure at the top or something to help with making the closure of them easier. My hands & fingernails were aching just from tying them. Also had to re-tie mid hike sometimes because the laces would loosen/stretch over time (cause the pressure to change on the foot … sometimes this was good, sometimes it was problematic). No blisters though. biggest frustrations

Heel slipped. Not for me.

The sizing of these is different than the Presidio, which I've worn for years. Had to exchange the 8 for a 7.5, which fit great. Lack arch support so I do use inserts, and fyi, they're heavier than Presidios too. Love how they're totally supportive, and look cute too. Glad to have found another style of Keens that work for my feet.

Nice shoe and comfy... Tongue is weird. Ankle is wide and my foot slips out a bit.

These will probably be 5 Stars once broken in. At first, felt strange because the sole/exterior heel cup is very firm, and the back of the shoe doesn't meet/touch your achilles tendon area--it stands apart, sort of like Dansko clogs intentionally give space around your rear heel. But, I have come to appreciate this feature, as it doesn't rub painfully when walking, and it makes them super easy to slip off when they are muddy and gross. The laces are also good for yucky weather and detritus. My 4 star rating was because I would like a bit more room across my very wide bunion area, but I sense they will loosen up as they get broken in--they're pretty firmly made. I simultaneously tried the Targhee *3* waterproof, and they fit strangely, too high and tight, across the opening of the shoe, like they came too far up the front of your foot/ankle. Returned the Targhee 3s, wearing the Targhee 2s on long, wet, mucky, dogs walks in Portland, Oregon.

The KEEN Targhee II Waterproof hiking shoes fit a little large with regular weight socks, so I suggest that either you tighten the laces, or wear thick woolen socks. I wore them for the first time yesterday trail hiking and the grip was good on damp pine needle covered slopes. They were very comfortable,but I was only walking for a short time. Can't wait to test them on a longer hike!

Heel was moving around when i tried them on. My foot is more slender and this shoe wasn’t as comfortable as the Merrell that i ordered

Safari shoes should not have any color. All of the information online says not to wear colors on safari because the animals can spot it right away and will either run away or become agitated. I had to exchange the shoes for the darker shade without the red color for my trip to Kenya.

Sent wrong width. Order M sent W so I had to send back.

Ordered medium width but received wide width. Sending back so cant really evaluate comfort and fit.
