I'll probably return these. I really wanted them to work b/c of their great reputation. But the toe box was too small for me. I normally wear a 9 in hiking boots & don't have a wide foot. They would've been my choice.

I am a huge keen fan but these boots totally lost waterproof after only nine months. Which to me makes them worthless. I have to have waterproof boots because of the work I do outside all day. So if you can justify spending $130 every 9 months or so get these as tney are super comfy right out of the box. I wore them in moderately wet conditions, never snow and never actually Walking through water either. Just regular rainfall. Feet are totally Soaked- it happened basically Overnight.

So I have other Keens, the Targhee II Mid specifically and the size and comfort feels much different. With These boots my toes hit the tops and they seemed looser in the other areas with not as much heel support oddly enough even tho they have the double hooks for ankle support. If I went a size up I would have more room in toe but I think they would feel overall too big. I think I’m gonna stick w the Targhee II Mids.

I've been looking for hiking boots with good arch support and wide width with ample toe box. Some Keen shoes work for me but not the boots.

I have narrow heel and wide forefoot--amazingly this shoe was too wide! At the same time, the toe box wasn't deep enough. Top of big toe hit top of boot--not comfortable. Liked the style

Sometimes I take size 7, sometime 7.5. In this shoe, size 7 was too small--and arch supports ended up making the bottoms of my feet hurt. I liked the styling however, although a would have preferred plain laces to checked--a minor point.

The style was nice and construction was nice, but the back of the heel/ankle was uncomfortable. I would think I would get blisters with these hiking! They were light-weight, and seemed to have good support.
I'd also recommend:
Merril.

Having googled hiking boots for bunions & seeing rave reviews about these Keen Gypsums, I am very disappointed. These not only run very narrow, they run small. Toes are hitting the toe box, and the inside & outside of my feet are painful with these.

Size 8, regular width. The boot felt true to size, although there is was a stiff plastic heel support at the back of the left shoe that was sharp and felt almost like a manufacturing error. Unfortunately, and since I didn't have time to try a second pair of the same shoe, I had to return and order a different brand.
