Best boots I've ever owned, hands down!! Comfortable right out of the box with no break-in time necessary. Not too "puffy" like some other comparable boots. Can get a little warm because they are waterproof but not enough to stop me from wearing them all day on the farm even in the heat of summer. I have the blue ones and I love the color! I'm so glad I found these and can't wait to order my next pair!

This is my 2nd pair of these Keen boots. Very comfortable & there is a removable insole, so I can use my orthotics. Love the blue color. They really are waterproof. Good ankle support.

Very comfortable boots. I have a narrow heel but like a roomy toe box, which is a difficult combination, but these fit perfectly - in the same size I choose for athletic shoes. I was able to remove the standard arch support and put in my own orthotics easily, so I can't comment on the arch support of the shoes as is. They performed well on a series of day hikes (nothing longer than 8 miles so far), quite sturdy but comfortable and light enough to carry in my backpack (for 5 miles when I switched to sandals) without problem. All around, very pleased.

True fit with ample but not giant toe box . Excellent cushioning in footbed but with plenty of support. Wore them all day out of the box.

I'm about to order a second pair. I love the color, the roomy toe box and the support. Terrific shoe for hiking! I wear an 8 but am happy with the 9 that I ordered because of the thick socks needed for hiking.

I have worn other Keens and really like the way they fit especially the roomy toe box. I ordered the Gypsum ll mid a size larger to accommodate thick hiking socks. I usually wear an 8 and ordered a 9 which worked perfectly. I wore them right out of the box without breaking them in for a short 3 mile hike without any discomfort. Also I am fond of the blue color.

These hiking boots are very comfortable. I usually wear a 6.5 in keen shoes, but decided to go with the 7 for hiking boots. I wanted to have enough room to wear thicker socks if need be. I am a huge fan of the quality, look and comfort of Keen shoes.

I wish I would've bought my regular size instead of half sizing up. This shoe breaks in quickly. Now my feet sorta slide around when the laces aren't perfect. Oh well, I love them anyway. Supportive and weather proof!

These boots are awesome! I have problem feet and have had several surgeries on them, so I needed something extra comfortable and with enough room in the toes. These are wonderful. I'm usually an 8 or 8.5 (depending on shoe brand) so I ordered a 9 in these for hiking-perfect fit! I'm still breaking them in but really the only part I have to get used to and kind of soften up is the area around the ankle-nothing wrong with the design- just getting used to the pressure around my ankle, but I want it there for support. Great boots- I highly recommend these.

I'm a licensed Irrigator in TX and walk through wet ground a few hrs every day. I'm hard on my boots and laces. My Keens always keep my feet dry, where other brands have failed me. I'm a Keen gal, through and through!

I ordered these to replace my favorite pair of Keen mid boots, and I was disappointed. They are comfortable, but have exacerbated my plantar fasciitis unlike my old Keens.

Loved the look of this boot. The structure is just too narrow for my foot. If you get the right fit, I’m sure most people would like the style.

Toe box was too narrow for my feet. Even the half-size up didn't work. Usually Keen's fit me, but not this time, sadly. I really wanted to buy these shoes; they're wonderfully made and look great. Alas, too narrow for my feet.

I have very narrow feet, so the boots were a little for me, but they would be a normal fit on someone with regular sized feet. I wore them around the house and went on a 2 mile walk, but that was not enough wear to break them in because a couple days later I went on a 14 mile hike and got horrible blisters. This problem would go away with more wear, but just know that they take some time to break in. Otherwise, they are very comfy and kept my feet cool and dry when crossing several creeks and walking a couple miles in soft snow!

Very solid boot, fit well on the heel and ankle but the toe box was tight on arthritic toes. Nice looking boot!

I have a pair of Keen Targhee II and ordered this boot because it is supposed to be geared for multi-day hiking. Unfortunately the Gypsum II does not run as wide as the Targhee II. It's a nice boot and if you don't need the width, it should work for you. I will be returning.

Well made, with great features like a fairly wide toe box, waterproof with good insulation, but was looking for a boot with a little less differential in the drop from heel to toe. This spec was not listed in the Zappos description, so I thought I'd give them a try. After I received them and tried them on, I realized this was the case. When I inquired with Keen, they said most of their boots have a differential between 8-10 mm. Would like to see shoe and boot makers come out with designs that are closer to a zero drop, or at most 4mm,so that the foot can assume a more natural position and not put so much pressure on the forefoot. Very few companies are trying, with the exception of Altra, which is moving in the right direction.

Can anyone explain to me why everyone reviews Keen boots as "runs 1/2 small" but the company does nothing for us unfortunate big footed customers. How do I go up a 1/2 size if the largest size is an 11? Out of luck again!

I had the previous incarnation of these boots, and found them quite comfortable, though they haven't lasted as long as I liked (bits of the sole have gone.) Nice wide toe box, like many Keenes. These seem to be slightly larger than the previous version, as I ordered the same size as before and my foot is slipping around more, though some judicious lacing may help with that. Don't really like the neon green color on these, but not that obtrusive.

Note: This shoe runs "true to size" if by that you mean order up in the same way you'd order up for a running shoe. Of the Keens I've tried on this order, the score so far: WINNER: Targhee Mid Exp Mid Waterproof size 10.5. Length and width perfect. Room in toebox for my bunion and hammertoe. Good heel control. (There are a pair of eyelets at the ankle that attach to a cloth band that runs down into the shoe and around the heel.) Doesn't rub anywhere. Comfortable out of the box. Good arch support. - Keen Gypsum II Waterproof size 10: too small - Keen Gypsum II Waterproof size 10.5: too big - Keen Terradora Leather Mid Waterproof size 10: Same as the WINNER but doesn't feel like it provides quite as much ankle & heel stability. - Keen Oakridge Mid Waterproof size 10: Same as Terradorra. Didn't like the fabric or color though. - Kaci Winter Mid Waterproof size 10: Way too big and no arch support. However, they fit perfectly with my orthotics inserted over the Keen insole. Not a hiker, but a nice walking around winter shoe. It has the Keen traditional duck-foot toe box which my feet love - wide and deep.

I ordered 4 different pairs and ended up keeping these. They are a little higher than I am used to but with a bad ankle, that may be a good thing. They fit well and were pretty comfortable the first walk. However, there is very little cushion in the bottom of the boot - you definitely need to wear cushioned socks. I had thin boot socks on the first time and it was hard on the feet - next time Thoros socks and much better.

I also ordered the Keen Voyageur Mid in the same size (9). This shoe measures at least a half inch longer than the other Keen. These seem like great boots, but for now, I'm keeping the Voyageurs as we head into warmer weather and will consider these later on. Definitely order down at least a half size on these.

I have several pair of Keen and I love them for their roomy toe box, however I decided to return these since they look too much like my husband's work boots.. I did order a half size up as I usually do, but these felt at least 2 sizes too big.
