I bought my first pair December 2014 and my second pair January 2018. These boots go the extra mile(s). Over the past 4 years and 1 month these boots have kept my feet warm, safe, and dry in all types of terrain ranging from Montana, Texas, Oregon, Idaho, Washington, California, and beyond. You'll wear down the traction of these shoes long before the leather and laces give way. These shoes are so sturdy and sentimental to me and all the adventures we've been through that I'm using the leather from my first pair to make a wallet. There's no reason to throw away perfectly good leather just because I wore down the rubber traction. The 2018 model came with brown laces. I preferred the 2014 blue laces so I am using them on my new pair of boots. That's the type of quality you're getting with this product, 4+year old laces look right at home on 2018 models.That's saying a lot considering the snow, desert, beach, river crossing, and alpine trails I've traversed. Five stars. 100% would recommend this boot to anyone who wants a rugged and comfortable boot. *photos below are of my 2014 & 2018 boots as mentioned above

Just got this in the mail today and the color is more of an orange-brown than the dark brown represented in the picture. The leather on the toe was a little rough (the sides are smooth), which might lead to faster wear/tear because it seems like it could crack more easily. The size was accurate. Not sure I'm going to keep them because of the color difference.

I bought these boots for our Skiing and Hiking vacation in Colorado. I wore these boots through snow, sleet, and rain and they kept my feet warm and comfortable. I was able to walk in them all day with no issues. Great product and I love love love these boots. I am pretty sure I will be buying these in more colors

I selected these boots because they looked versatile enough to wear casually but also wear outside. I do a lot of hiking and was hoping they could be used for both. The tread is awesome, I have not done a difficult hike yet but a trail hike has felt great.

One of the best pair of shoes I've bought. They are multi purpose shoes: for rain or snow, dresses or jeans. They pair up with any outfit and can walk long distances with them because they are comfortable.

I live in WI and quite literally wear these boots everyday in the fall/winter. They are extremely comfortable, functional, and stylish. Go with everything. I bought them about three years ago and they are still going strong. Just ordered another pair though as I fear them being gone when it is time to replace.. As I feel will it will be quite a ways down the road! Put some snow sneal on them two years ago to help keep them in good condition as well. Do think it has helped keep the leather in good shape with all the salt (always recommend snow seal as well). Highly recommend- actually just told my sister as she liked them and they are currently at a great price.

I love these. They seem super durable. They fit very well. For reference, I wear an 8.5 in my running shoes (brooks), generally a 7.5 in sandals, and I bought these in an 8 and they are perfect. I will say there needs to be more cushioning in the heel, but other than that they are great! The traction is really nice. One of the shoes isn't exactly even where the laces attached but not a huge deal to me. They looks good with pretty much everything (casually). Picture is right on with the color.

My new favorite boots. The style is current and they are eminently practical. I have worn them in wet weather and my feet stayed warm and dry. The nonslip lug sole is great.

From outdoor use to hanging out with friends and for work

This boots are so cute. Only downside is the laces they seem flimsy.

This winter, I've been wearing these boots to work. I think they're appropriate for the (laid back) office, but also fairly weather proof. I'm happy with them. I will say that I need to get some sort of leather treatment on them. They're looking a little thirsty...

I wear the boots mostly to work, sometimes when going out if it's extra chilly. They are super warm and comfy.

This is actually my second pair after having worn a coffee bean brown pair for about 6 months. As mentioned from other commenters, the leather is dry and rough out of the box. I had forgotten how stiff it was until I bought this second pair in the daschund brown. It didn't feel like it took long to break them in with daily wear. I applied sno-seal prior to wearing. The daschund brown gets noticeably darker, but definitely looks less parched after sno-seal. These boots get more comfortable over time, which was why I decided to get a second pair. I walk on a lot of dirt roads and grassy areas so I would need to rinse them off and re-apply sno-seal every few months. But if I were walking more on pavement, I would probably give less maintenance. The sno-seal wax creases and creates faded white streaks on the boots, but it becomes less obvious with wear. I already felt the cushioning was adequate until I unintentionally tried Birkenstock's Blue Footbed Sport insoles and it upped the walking experience. Without the insoles, your feet may get tired earler if you're on your feet all day.

I got these boots for year-round hiking adventures. They had good overall ratings so I thought they'd be quality shoes, and they said they were true to size. When I put them on, they fit like a glove but we're extremely stiff. I tried to break them in by wearing them on short outings. The first time I wore them for a 1-1.5 hour winter hike and got a horrible blister on the back of my ankle! After reading more closely it doesn't sound like they are waterproof which is disappointing. I think the claim of being all-season boots implies all-weather boots (including wet weather). They are cute, and I've still been wearing them on for short outings hoping that they will soften up, so I can wear them on hikes. After wearing them for about a month, they seem more realistic as a fashion accessory than a utility boot.

Second purchase I made of the women's Ballard boots. It keeps your feet completely dry which I need to rainy and snowy weather. I personally love this shoe. Unless your feet are small, you will need to size up half a shoe size.

I just received these boots and they are very comfortable, form-fitting, and hopefully warm! They seem like an all-around great fall/winter boot. I have a bit more of a narrow foot and wear a size 9 1/2 to 10, and these fit extremely well! These are shoes that are exactly like the photo and description.
