Boots keep you warm in the cold, but did not sweat once off the bikes...which is a wonderful thing!

I bought these initially because nobody in the Brooklyn neighborhood where I work has ever considered shoveling a sidewalk and the brief walk from the train to work is nothing short of deadly on a snowy day. I live in Peekskill, though, and today gave me opportunity to really test out this traction stuff Merrell has going on. We had an inch or two of snow followed by about ten hours of rain and freezing rain by the time we got out to shovel our driveway. It's about 200 feet long, top to bottom, with a 20+% grade in some areas. I don't like walking down it on a dry day because it's so steep. My poor husband wore ice cleats and was slipping all over the place. I wore my Auroras and felt safe and stable the whole time. Was it slippery? Absolutely. Was I extra careful on the steepest parts? You bet. But these boots have changed my attitude about being outside, and my 50 year old bones are grateful they're all still intact and where they should be. Through all the standing water and slush, my feet stayed warm and dry. I shoveled for two hours and the boots never felt heavy or uncomfortable. These boots are great!

I bought these boots in all black and love the way they look! they fit well, snug, but comfortable. I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe, so ordered the larger size to wear with thicker socks if needed. they also have a zipper which helps with the fit, i think. I have not had to wear them in deeper snow yet, but expect them to do their job.

They came early! Which was convenient we got 18 inches of snow. They kept my feet warm ALL DAY LONG. I was in the deep snow all day. Not once did my feet get cold, they grip very well.

Cute but not over the top style, so I think they will be practical for winter travel (heading from the east coast to the west coast). They fit well and are super light weight! I haven't tried them on the ice yet since I ordered them during a snowstorm and it hasn't snowed again since they arrived.

I was afraid that these would look a bit clunky, but they really don’t. More importantly, they are super warm and waterproof. I even wore them in the cold rain to walk the dogs the other night - perfect. Love that the zippers make them at least easy-off, and the laces mean I can tuck my pants in if I want and adjust. Really love these boots!

I wore these boots in the snow in Wyoming. They were very warm and comfortable with style. My feet stayed dry, and the Arctic Grip kept me from slipping on black ice. Very pleased with this purchase!

Is boots will keep me warm and I cannot wait to wear them to the winter season they are so attractive and beautiful and if you let them

I have received many compliments on the looks of these boots. However, since I live in the snow and cold winter of St. Paul, MN, these boots need more than good looks. The boots have worked for keeping me warm outdoors in the cold, walking on snow and on slippery ice. The boots do everything they are advertised to do. The boots have not let me down. Thank you Merrell, you did it again!! Keep up the great design work!

This midwest winter has been brutal and with a new very large puppy, I need a boot that provided me security on the slippery surface...the boots have saved me from falling numerous times. I LOVE MY NEW BOOTS!

Walking my dogs up and down the hill had become very challenging during the winter time. I got these boots last year and they have safe me from falling more than a few times. They are also very comfortable and warm! I got my mom a pair too and she loves them as well.

Got these for Christmas. Warmest boots I own, and very comfortable! I can wear them all day and they're still comfy. Love the zipper so I don't have to always hassle with the laces, however with the hooks on top the laces frequently come off before I get the boots on and I have to re-tie them on again. Minor issue. Love them!

I read about the new artic grip and thought, since I live in Breckenridge, CO, "This is for me!" Hadn't tested the soles on ice until tonight when I took them out on a small ice flow under our rain gutter - move too quickly and they could slip but I'm pretty impressed. No longer do I have to walk like a 90 year old on ice. In loose snow (we have a lot of that this winter), they perform really well - I found almost no slippage. They are comfortable, too. I bought the black because I couldn't figure out what the deal with the white shearling at the top of the brown boots was all about.

For those of you snow and ice runners in search of a replacement for your favorite running boot your search is finally over. Merrell; please do not discontinue this boot, ever! Nothing needs to be changed or redesigned or re marketed or touched. Please Merrell, just leave perfection alone. OK?
