runs small. cute boot

These definitely run a full size smaller than other Sorel's I've owned. I have 2 pairs of Joan of Arctic boots in 8.5 that fit great so I bought these in a 9, thinking it can't be THAT far off, but they are. Returning to try a 9.5. Also, there was a bit of extra material at a seam in the toe of one boot. Seemed to be a quality control issue. Unfortunately omething I can't imagine fixing without handing manicure scissors to a 4 year old and asking them to try to get it. ALSO - color is more red than this reddish brown color. Still nice, but a smidge brighter than the Zappos photo implies. And the leather part does not have the slight shine that the Zappos photo implies. I like these boots, and the fit except for theoff sizing

I ordered these boots for my teenage daughter, and though we loved the look of them, they were sadly too stiff and narrow for her. We were really looking for boot that she could slip on and off without without much effort, but the leather at the top was quite stiff, and meant that she had to sit down and really push to get her foot down into these. They're very cute, great style, just not what we were looking for. We went with a Sperry boot with a side zipper instead, and it worked much better for her.

Great overall rain boot. Very well insulated..more so than that Sorel Carly Boot, which I also tried.

Love these boots! They are super comfortable and perfect for milder winter conditions (light snow/ice - they are too short for heavier snow). They pair well with skinny jeans tucked in. They definitely run small. I'm usually a size 6, ordered a size 7 and they still feel a bit snug, but fit comfortably with thin socks. Size up at least 1-2 sizes depending on how thick of socks you want to wear with them.

Love them! I took the advice of others and ordered a full size larger. They were perfect. Not real warm, but a great boot to run around in. Very light.

Very attractive boot but runs very small. Am debating returning, awaiting some other options and sizes. Will keep you posted...

I ordered a size 9 due to other reviews, but I usually wear an 8, and they fit great. They actually felt a little snug with boot socks... I used these for almost an entire 3 days straight hiking/walking in northern California, and they were comfortable straight out of the box. I currently live in Milwaukee and know I will get great use of them come the blizzards. They do a nice job of keeping my toes warm and are comfortable enough for everyday wear. I would say the style is not as sleek and slim as I hoped, but they are definitely functional for this winter and will go well with casual daily wear.

Aesthetically I just loved these boots when I saw them on a shelf and online but once I tried them on I was 50/50. Size up for sure! I am normally a size 5 and got a 5.5 and they were still too small. I ended up having the best amount of toe space (to allow for thick socks) in a size 7 but then the boots felt big and the ankle area looked far too thick (cankle thick). These boots did feel a little stiff but they are winter boots so it probably just takes some getting used to. They are supposed to be good for cold weather but I am concerned about how thin they feel. I am returning mine so I will not be testing the water proofing or how warm they are/are not. A note on color - the redwood is more of a maroon and the color is much better in person

I love this boot. I tried it on in a store and needed a half size larger than what I wear. The stores in my area don't carry half sizes. Of course Zappos had them and their service is excellent! Def buy this boot.

Really like the style. Own several Sorels. Usually wear 6.5 - it was too small, ordered a 7 and still feels too small (especially across the top of the boot. Probably going to return these and get 7.5
