Felt small

These are super cute boots. Unfortunately the arch was too high and felt uncomfortable so I'm returning them.

Great looking boot. Rubs a little in a couple places but now that I've worn a few times that is much better. Love how waterproof they are!

I bought 3 pairs of black boots/booties for comparison and kept these. I was looking for something I could wear to walk city streets all day long when site seeing in the winter, so I needed something flat(ish), with a comfortable foot bed, good arch support, good traction to handle icy spots or slick cobblestones and waterproof like these was a real plus. My feet are a little wide (though I typically buy standard/M width, I have a high arch and instep. I normally wear Merrell, Reiker, Pikkolino, Clarks, Born, Dansko. These have the most comfy supportive foot bed of all the boots I bought and, I think any shoe I own. I often get sore on that bone of the foot right above the big toe; these boots have great cushiony support there which ultimately made my decision for me. My normal size works with thin to medium socks out of the box. I'm hoping I'll be able to handle thicker socks with them once I get a little walking time in them. They are a little stiff at the top of the shoe but, again, being leather, I expect that to soften with wear. In meanwhile, I'll avoid 12 hour days for the first few wears. I'll update after I've had them a while. The other boots I tried were Born Virgo and Pikolinos Hamilton. I liked them all - and might yet keeop the Pikolinos; I know they could be worn all day, I'd just have a bit more soreness and I'm not sure if they'd keep me dry. THey look more fragile and I'd hate to wear them all day in bad weather.

I ordered and tried on many different models of Pikolino and Sorel shorter boots, and thought I'd share my experience, after really benefitting from others' comments...even though most are being returned. This is a sleek, casual style, with a solid heel, with some height. it fits true to size, but slimmer and lower around the ankle than other similar models by Pikolino. There is an elastic gusset which helps shape the shaft closer to the leg, so it will fit likely well under or over your slimmest jeans. There is good flexibility in the sole, only I needed something with a high tread for good traction in snow in town. While there's tread on the heel, there's less under the ball of the footbed. This would be a good boot for active walker, who want a subtly rugged but sleek boot, western over English equestrian feel. Defiitely not for deep snow conditions.

After reading the reviews I decided to purchase my regular size 8. The 8 seemed to fit fine but as some other reviewers stated they are wide in the heel area, so much so that I decided to purchase a 7.5 to see if the fit would be better. The 7.5 were definitely too tight but still slightly wide in the heel. I decided to keep the size 8 and wear them with thicker socks. I think that because of the fit I would have returned them if they didn’t look so good!!! It is a gorgeous boot!

Cute and super comfortable. True to size for me (size 11). Haven't tested the waterproof qualities yet but the hearty sole will work great on icy MN sidewalks

These boots are so cute - absolutely love the style. They do run a bit small. I wear a 7.5/8, and I ordered the 8.5 - length is perfect. The reason I can't rate these higher for comfort is that the toe area is a bit snug. However, the type of leather they're made of seems like it'll settle in so I'm hopeful they loosen up in that area. Today is my first wear so time will tell!!

I was excited to get this cute boots...but I can't tell you a bit about them other than they are well made and that they are adorable. The reason why is that I could NOT get my foot in them at all!!! Why make such a nice pair of boot that are impossible to get on???...but I still love Zappos!!!

I really wanted these to work. Other customers advised to size up so I did and they were way just too big, especially in the heel. Otherwise, they are very well made.

I have the SOREL Addington Chelsea in an 8.5 and those fit great. These were uncomfortable and felt too small even in a 9. I think the toe is too narrow and shallow for me. Too bad because they are cute.

Runs very narrow. I purchased these because they had a removable insole and I thought I could wear my orthotics in them. Nope. There was no way the orthotic that fits in all my other size 6 shoes would fit in the super narrow heel of this boot. Too bad because they're very cute.

Unfortunately this boot has a very awkward fit. Too tight in the toe area and the arch support did not fit me at my arch. I even ordered a 1/2 size larger. I now remember I had this same problem with another Sorel boot. Too bad because I think this boot is so cute!

These booties are real cute but the fit is way off. I ordered the 7 1/2 first and could barely get my foot into them. I couldn't get them on with socks. They were incredibly small. I returned them for an 8 and those fit more like an 8 1/2. The heel was incredibly wide. I couldn't believe the difference between the 2 sizes. Even with a thick pair of wool socks they slipped. I really wish I could have kept them because they look great with both skinny jeans and dresses.

Very narrow and incredibly stiff. I typically wear a 9-9.5, but the 9.5 was too small. Very uncomfortable.

I was so excited to have these boots for rainy/snowy weather! I first ordered a size 10 which is my regular size and they were too small. Ordered the 11. They felt fine. HOWEVER, first time I wore them after an hour my right foot was so pinched and uncomfortable I actually had to take the boot off for a few minutes! Hoping it was a breaking in situation, wore them again yesterday and same thing!!! So disappointed. Do not buy these boots. The fit is really terrible. Seriously disappointed.

Runs narrow and foot bed making my feet turn and roll outwards. I have a high arch, no support. Foot hurt for two days. Recovering from PF, but the bones in the balls of my feet ache. It is really too bad too because these are SO CUTE! I am a 10.5 but wear an 11 in NIKE. I bought both a 10.5 (too narrow) and the 11 made my foot ache!

NARROW is an understatement! I sized up after reading reviews, and I still couldn't even get my foot into the shoe; and I consider myself to have an average width foot. Seriously disappointing as I really wanted these to work because they are very cute and I wanted waterproof leather! I love Sorel, but these make me question if they modeled these after an actual human's foot.
