I was drawn to the boots for the look--cute but durable. My decision to order was made after reading many reviews that claimed the boot was great for travel and day hikes. What none of the reviews mentioned was how lacing them up can be a pain, depending which way you wear them. I'm a slip on and go person, so messing with the little snaps on the side or trying to fold them down for the shorter look is not my cup of tea, but luckily wearing them unfolded is an option. These are comfy with a thick tread. I will be using these for day hikes and yard work this fall.

So, this shoe is smaller than I anticipated. I normally wear an 8 wide. I had to go up to a 9. The shoe was both narrow and short up to that point. The 9 is comfortable, and I think this will be a good shoe. I would say that if you are wondering about what size to choose - go up! I ordered both colors during this process, so I have seen the adobe brown and the dark olive in person. The adobe brown is a yellow brown - and I would say that this is more a light brown than medium brown. The olive green is a very neutral greenish brown, though there is definitely a green shift to the color. It is a nice, dark color for me, but I would hesitate if my main color palette included lots of reds - the green will really start to pop against warm colors. Otherwise - this seems to be a quality, well put together shoe.

These are such a beautiful, well crafted boots. However, they are too narrow. Length is a perfect fit. I had to return due to the overly snug fit. If a wide width were offered I would place a new order immediately! Lovely boots.

These are cute and the insole felt comfy, but I had to return because they were a little small for my feet. Wish I could order these in wide or an 11.5.

I'm a size 8W, and I ordered the 8M. I probably should have gotten the 8.5. Teva is a really great company, and this shoe is absolutely amazing - soft leather, warm on the inside, great sole support, very nice traction, and it looks really cute too. BUT, the heel area is a bit narrow, and I got a blister just walking at home for an hour with regular socks. Arch support is good, and if I'd went a half size up it'd probably be great, since the sole is very comfortable and provides a lot of shock absorption as with each step. I'd suggest going half a size up if you're wearing it with regular socks, and a full size up if you plan on wearing thick socks. Really wanted to love this shoes... but...if I'm going to pay $140 it should really be true to size and not give me blisters.

I ordered 1/2 size up based on the other reviews and now I'm sending them back. My foot is by no means narrow or small, and I have other Teva boots 1/2 size larger, but to me these fit true to size. They are gorgeous. Red-brown leather, and I think wearing them tall with the flaps up is the best way to wear them. They would be perfect for travel to a place like Scotland and to use for hiking in the wet grass or mud. What a great boot! I'm sad I have to return them.

I purchased these for winter in upstate NY,I got these in black. Chose a 9.5 which is my standard size, I wear a 9 in ACNE pistol boots (they run large). At first they felt tight across the bridge and at the toes and I thought I'd have to size up like many reviewers. I doubled up some thick socks and wore them around the house for the day. They softened considerably and I can happily wear medium weight wool socks with them, happy I got the 9.5. If you want to pair these with very thick socks you would need to size up a half size. I have a broad front foot and can wiggle my toes freely thanks to the generous rounded toe box. Prefer to wear them tall (cuff unfolded). I'm 5'7 so my calves don't look too short with them styled this way. I like that they are minimalistic, they came with black laces to change them up. Decent tread on the bottom. No arch support, again a preferences for me, if you put insoles in you may again need to size up. Lightweight, great get about town boots.

I liked almost everything about these boots - they're really really cute, pretty comfortable, with nice soles for walking on slippery winter surfaces. But without a side zipper they're a bit of a nuisance to get on and off. You have to loosen the shoestrings all the way down to get your foot in and out. Not a big deal, but lots of other boots with this style also have side zippers so once you tighten the shoestrings, you don't have to mess with them again.

I suppose by the name I could have assumed these were more of a red than pictured? The deep red is my only disappointment. They are casual and versatile, comfortable, though fitting a bit snug for my wide foot. Thinking I would need a half size larger. Wishing there were more colors to choose from, as a simple brown would have been just right. I am debating whether to keep them, get them in black, or return.

I'm a size 8-8.5 and the last pair I bought from Teva I had to size up to a 9. I was really hesitant to buy this pair but thanks to the live online chat option, I was able to feel comfortable in buying these boots at a size 8.5 (They run true to size). I just got them today and I'm so happy with my purchase! They're great for dressing up or dressing down. They'll be great boots to wear in Colorado and Portland when I go home this winter!

I purchased these boots to use as comfortable walking shoes in the city. They are cuter than my hiking boots, and seem very comfortable in the trial runs around the house. The styling is very interesting visually. My only complaint is the lacing system which is complicated and takes a few minutes to figure out how to loosen and tighten. Based on this, the jury is out on whether I will keep them. I'm going to slip them on and off a few more times, and see if I can tighten/loosen the laces without frustration. I like the patterned laces they come with, and it is nice that they included an extra pair for future use. They do seem to run a bit small. I'm between a 9 and 9 1/2, and find that the 9 1/2 are a good fit with a bit of extra room for thicker socks.

These boots are so cute. I just wish they were more comfortable. I've worn them for a month now and I still get blisters from them. I'm going to try to stretch them to see if that helps. I would recommend sizing up.

The basic good arch support expected from Teva is there, but there is really no cushioning. While my plantar fasciitis feels good, my heels still hurt. I was really hoping for a boot I could wear to the office that was as comfy as a hiking boot and this wasn't it. Also the laces are really complicated and hard to adjust as the wrap all the way around under the flap of the boot.

Pros: Shoes are comfortable from the start! I can wear them to the office and wear them to do more outdoor activities! Neutral: It's TTS for fall and spring. You might need to go half a size for the winter if you plan on wearing wool socks. Con: Not warm for winter unless wearing thick socks. Narrow toes. Big con: I saw this problem on one other review for the shoes. Both shoes dug into my shin. It wasn't doing that first few times I wore them around the house. Then I started feeling it when I walked outside. I looked inside both shoes and I found cuts on the back heels. I added mole skin to the backs and they seem to alleviate the pain so far. If I had found out before I took them out, I would have traded for a new pair. Recommendation to company: Please change the back of the inside of the shoe to something soft. The hard surface is easy to scratch up and the scratches can dig into someone's shin.

I'm usually a 9.5 to 10 and have never had to wear anything larger than a size 10, but right out of the box these looked small. I checked the tags on the boots which said 10, so there is a chance they were mislabeled, but I could not even try these on with socks. They are a cute style and I like the more vintage hiking boot look, but they were not wearable. Zappos was out of size 11 so I went to the Teva website and bought them there. The size 11 is huge on me and will likely have to return those too, so I think I may have received a mislabeled pair from zappos.

I thought these were so cute and had high hopes as I'm also searching for a pair of waterproof shoes for a trip to Ireland. Unfortunately, I felt they were very stiff and that the metal posts used to help fold them down were too much of a pain.

I found the lacing complicated and the lace holes were not reinforced. I love the speed lace boots, These are tricky and slow to get in and out of.

These fit great and are wonderfully comfortable, but the stitching fell apart after about a year of wear. The leather separated from the sole and now water has gotten all through the construction, sadly. I think I needed a more substantial pair of boots, even just for everyday wear.

Long time supporter of Teva sandals and I really liked these boots. Ordered the brown ones and the color is more of a dark reddish brown. I'm really picky about my shoes so this is pretty disappointing. Was expecting a lighter color like the picture shows

I took these for a round the world trip, and sadly discovered they were not waterproof after posting home my definitely waterproof hiking boots. Really sad, it has disrupted my trip, these boots can't be called waterproof they wet out in an hour of rain.

I wear a size 10, so that is the size I ordered. These would fit just fine if I planned on wearing them without socks. If you want to wear any type of sock at all, order a half size up. Otherwise, there will be no room for your toes! Unfortunately, these do not come in a 10.5, so I had to return them.

I needed a pair of boots to wear to festivals that were good quality and comfortable and also attractive. After reading all of the reviews, I was really excited for these boots. They are attractive and true to size. Definitely should've broken them in a little before going to the festival but with high socks it wasn't unbearable. BUT, I spent the entire weekend tying and retying these boots trying to get the right fit. If they were tight in the way that the boots looked best, they were uncomfortable. If they were on the looser side they were also uncomfortable and also looked unattractive. They don't hold their shape well in the lace area and bend and just look floppy/creased. 2 days in I had somewhat gotten the right configuration down but I would lose it everytime I took them off. And taking them on and off takes a long time, especially with trying to find the right tightness. I think these could be nice boots for light/ fashion wear around town/ in the rain since they are apparently waterproof which I did not test out. But personally I am really disappointed I spent so much money on these and now cannot return since they are worn :(.Should've gotten some Dr. Martens instead. Oh and they also pick up dirt like crazy so yeah not right for a festival. They were basically brown the entire time, which I somewhat anticipated but hoped would be worth it for the sake of the comfort. I have other Tevas I like but these were a real miss for me.

Extremely disappointed in these boots. I've been professionally measured as a size 9 numerous times. Customer support claims these shoes run true to size, but they pinched my toes and caused massive, painful blisters on both heels. And now, after 2 weeks of laboriously breaking them in, the waterproofing has worn off. Essentially a huge waste of time and money, considering I purchased them for a vacation to a rainy place, and now I'll have to find something else when I get to my final destination, because the waterproofing wore off the FIRST DAY OF TRAVEL. Don't say your boots are true to size and waterproof if they are neither! What's extra disappointing is that I usually love Teva. I have 2 other pairs (sandal and sneaker) that are go-to travel staples. I likely won't be buying the brand again, after this experience.
