As other here have said it's not black it's more of a grey... Well I ordered the black coat thinking grey is ok but instead of the grey I must of gotten the India Ink or something because the coat is a very light grey, I wished it was a darker grey. I haven't use the coat yet due to winter is over and so far our MN weather have been wonderfully short this year so I will have to wait until next winter. So for someone who owns a handful of coats I am loving it so far even with out wearing it in the cold weather.

I ordered a medium since I am 5'2" and weigh 135 lb with a pear shaped. The fit is right on and the 2 way zipper is great! I like the coat but the one problem I have with it is the "black" is not really black it's more gray but I think I will still be satisfied with the product

Just received my jacket and am generally pleased with quality and so forth but surprised by the color: The photos suggest that the black is a true black, but the product is more along the lines of a mid-grey, sort of heathered (fabric appears to be made of both black and white threads). The faux fur is white with black/tan tips rather than the brown shown in the photo. I like the color of the fur better than that shown in the photo but was really expecting a black jacket, so may end up returning.

I wanted to love this jacket but it just wasn't for me. The jacket falls mid thigh so the length was good. It is a little boxy with no drawstrings to adjust and a bit on the thin side. The top 2 pockets are around the belly area like how hoodies are. The bottom 2 pockets are good to keep keys or gloves in but awkward for your hands. There is only one pocket on the inside which I wish there was an extra mesh pocket or something to easily stow away my phone or iPod. Regarding warmth now. We had a cold snap here in NYC which it was 10 degrees. This jacket didnt keep me warm at all. I guess i had to be doing some kind of activity to generate body heat so it retains it inside the jacket? Needless to say I was disappointed. However it was good enough for 40 degree weather if it helps.

This is actually a great coat, but you should be aware of what you're buying. I have another Columbia down jacket that's a small and it fits just a little snug, but I like the fit. I debated getting this coat in a medium just so I would have a roomier coat but went with the small again. I got it and tried it on and it was huge! It felt like I was wearing a large compared to my other jacket. I ordered "black," which is not black by the way but more of a heathered medium gray, but other reviews said this so I knew what I was getting, and the color is actually very cute. I ordered an extra small and it fits great, and I'm not an extra small (5'10", 140 lbs). Long story short, I would recommend this coat, it's cute and comfy, but the color is not pictured well at all and the sizing is much larger than my other Columbia wear.
