I bought this jacket to wear as a casual jacket. It keeps me warm but also looks good. Perfect jacket for any occasion. I am even more delighted because my boyfriend needed a tall size, which is hard to find.

Very light weight. Has a reflective silver lining. Quite warm. Arms are long enough. Quality construction. Hope to have a long time.

This is a great thin jacket to keep the cold out. Great for brisk days alone and thin enough to wear under a thicker jacket on ultra cold days

This coat is amazing. Super light and packable and extremely warm. It can be worn in fall with a light layer underneath and in the dead of winter. I've owned many Columbia's and this is one of the best.

I am a bigger person and had been searching for good quality down jacket for our crazy Chicago winters instead of wearing sweatshirts and fleeces. I couldn't be happier as this jacket has kept me warm all winter long and it's the lightest jacket I have ever worn! I am a fan for life and thank you for not forgetting about customers that might wear a size larger than 2X.

Jacket is great, fits well, with a little room for extra layering. (4XT). I use it for every day wearing in temperatures around -5 to 35 degrees fahrenheit. It's 590 weight down so it's not going to keep you 100% warm in 0 degrees, but just moving around enough will create enough body heat which is then reflected back and keeps me plenty warm. I use this jacket for shoveling snow, kept me perfectly warm then as well. Repells snow, but outside can get a little wet, inside stays dry. Some feathers are lost through seems, etc, but what down filled anything doesn't lose at least some. Over all I am very please with the jacket, although I personally wish I did get the version with a hood. I'm rarely ever disappointed with Columbia.

This jacket is extremely light and very comfortable. I've hardly worn any other jacket since this purchase. I'm extremely pleased with the quality of this jacket. I strongly recommend it.

Only have had this coat for a few days but already very impressed with it. I am amazed that something so lightweight can be so warm! It has a very comfortable fit as well. I am sold on Columbia's product after wearing this!

I've had this jacket out hiking a few times now in the 10-20 degree range and in the snow and with a base layer and I've been warm each time. (I did buy a size bigger to be able to layer) Once your body starts to generate some heat, I think that reflective lining works impressively well. There's a small internal pocket right inside the zipper about chest high that works well for a phone that's a cool feature.

Though the coat is very light and thin, it's very warm in the Minnesota winter (15 degrees)! Love the coat and look.

This is the ultimate warm, but light weight coat! Great fit and very well made. Here in South Carolina, it can get cold, and this jacket works fine for a quick run to the store or ball games. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Plus you have the Columbia quality!

Have used this jacket for multiple outings ranging from cold to wet. This jacket performed great. It works well by itself or combined with other layers. The insulation makes it warm and toasty, providing that instant warmth for a chilly day. Well built. It fits a little large, which for my frame is a good thing. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Needing a 4XL jacket is a chore in iteself. Finding the Voodoo Falls Turbo 590 was a blessing. Warmest jacket I have ever worn including my hunting gear. Also fits me well and is so light and compact rolls up into my backpack when I travel through airports! Love it so much bought one for my sons and tell everybody about it last week! Keep up the great work!

I've really enjoyed this jacket so far (it's only been about 2 weeks at this point). My last jacket (from a big box retailer) was warm but SO bulky with limited range of motion. This jacket has none of that bulk and so far just as much warmth. Definitely an upgrade already. I also like that I don't feel any comprimised range of motion while wearing this. I will definitely look to Columbia jackets in the future.

I bought this for my dad who HATES these kinds of jackets, but he LOVED this! It’s lightweight and not super puffy which is perfect for him to work in. The only complaint he had was that it was too big, for size reference he’s about 220-230 6’6 and we had to exchange for a Large Tall and return the XL Tall we got originally.

First I want to say the the Voodoo Falls 519 is a good jacket. It fits me perfectly and i get comments on how good the jacket looks on me. It is great for layering - but it could be better. I am disappointed that the shoulders back and arms are stitched outside to inside with no liner over most of the inside stitching. There is a liner in the front and you can see it in the product photos. I thought the liner would run throughout the inside of the jacket. The entire interior does have the Omni Heat silver dot material which is great. I am also disappointed with the minimal amount of down insulation used around the wrists and lower part of the sleeves. Two or three years ago i bought a very similar Columbia jacket called Saddle Chutes, it was not down insulated but did have the Omni Heat dots. When purchased that jacket was about 1/2 the price of the Voodoo Falls 519. In my opinion the less expensive Saddle Chutes is a better constructed jacket because of the full Omni Heat lining that was not stitched through to the outside. I will definitely keep this new jacket but compared to the old Saddle Chutes jacket it is not a good a value.

Product is spot-on! I wanted something warm but not Puffy. It had to be light weight and packable too and this jacket is all of those. I also love the fact that Columbia's sizing is legit. I wear an XXL and SO many companies have changed their sizing such that XXL is now equivalent to what use to be XL! My one suggestion would be to use downproof outer material to prevent the down from poking through, but I Love it!

I bought this when my last Columbia jacket tore (which was heartbreaking). I'm pretty short, so I was very excited that the extended sizes don't assume height. I opted for the 1X over the XL for this reason. The arms and body are a tad shorter (still long on me) so it makes it much easier to maneuver. The jacket is warm and dry, and I've replaced pretty much every other coat I have with this one. My biggest complaint is that the collar does fold down nicely. It's great if you zip it all the way up, but if you fold it down a bit, for most everyday use, the right side of the collar will constantly be in your face. I guess if you have a long neck this wouldn't be an issue. But it's pretty annoying.
