Fits well, looks good, pretty good quality, very warm but thought it would be a little warmer. Jacket seems like it'll last a while.

Product is light and keep you warm enough in warm winter days. I have tried it out in 0C - 10C temparute. May be combined with a Alpine Jacket for minues & snowy days. If you wear fleece , i think you can go out till -5.
Best thing that you can wear it over a jeans, over a suit or over a sport sweat suit. The only thing that you must choose the right colour and size. I am 1.79 and 77kg. M Size fits perfectly. I think under 183cm , 83kg , you can choose that size.

When this jacket arrived I was dismayed to see how thin it is; heck, I have coats with zip-out linings thicker than this! I'm happy to report that I was totally wrong. Alone, this jacket keeps me warm into the upper 20s, low 20s with a vest underneath. Amazing. I removed one star due to the necessity of opening the jacket zipper nearly halfway to access the security (phone) pocket.

Okay, I have read other reviews so I was afraid to wear it out in -14 below zero weather but, needed to remove some snow from my drive way. I also wanted to really see for myself if the jacket could keep me warm at -14 below with a -34 below wind chill. I put on a pull over sweater on under the 590 TD Columbia. I was really surprised the outside of the coat was cold to the touch but I was not even a little bit cold. It worked great. So, buy the 590 TD and enjoy the -14 below zero cold.

Purchased 2 for my husband and son. Very light packable jacket at a reasonable price. Perfect for travel. I tried it on to guage the size and it seemed warm, but they are gifts and have yet to be worn by the recipients outdoors. I would not expect these to be your only winter coat, best as a layer in colder weather.

The jacket is very warm for the weight and thickness. Perfect for the fall and spring mornings when camping or backpacking and a layer in the cold winter in California. I also used this as a layer paired with a columbia 1/4 zip and windbreaker on my family's boat in Alaska and it was perfect. The only slight issue with it is that the feathers will come out occasionally through the fabric.

I bought this jacket to be an every day winter jacke when I have to be outside more than an hour. So far, the jacket has lived up to expectations in frigid (teens and low 20's) temps. We'll see how the jacket functions when the temps go to zero and -5 degrees in January (Cleve, OH).
Regarding quality...Excellent fit. I'm 6,'2",260 lbs.
In my opinion, could use one more interior or exterior pocket (the jacket has 3 pockets, could use a 4th).
The jacket is shedding feathers/down material. I don't know if this is normal, maybe someone can inform me as such. Not cool that I have to lightly brush my shirt every time I wear the coat.
Otherwise, 5 stars. 4.25 is my rating.

I was expecting, from the description, a solid winter coat. Some folks might like a light winter coat bu this one was too light and thin for me. I'm not sure how much down is in it but it was between 1/3 and 1/2 total with the lining whatever else is in there, down and outer layer.

Great quality jacket, warm, fits well, looks great on the outside, but the lining of this jacket is OBNOXIOUSLY SHINY! It plus be odd for a woman’s jacket, but extremely off putting for a men’s jacket. It outweighed all of the other pros of the jacket because every time my husband tried it on, we just couldn’t get over the blinding disco-style lining!

I've ordered this item a year ago and then again now. I have noticed that the company made some changes to the jacket that seems like they reduce the cost of the product yet still charge the same. This is still a good jacket but not like it used to be.

Nice lightweight jacket for the cold. Material feels like it can be easy rip. Down insulation keeps coming out from the seams. I have downs all over the driver seat of my car and is it still continuing to come out. Size fit perfect except it a little too long. I want to like it but the insulation issue keeps that from happening.

This jacket is light and comfortable, suited for about 10c and looking good. After using it for about a year and machine washed it for few times, the volume and fluffiness went down. It is still very well if you do some activities in it , while sustaining body temperature .

Initially I bought the "Lake 22" down jacket, but I purchased the wrong size and had to send it back. Instead of re-purchasing the same jacket I chose to spend a little bit more money and get the "Voodoo Falls" coat.
The coat looks good, and it fits true to size. It's comfortable and the pockets have fleece in them. It also blocks the wind very well.
The only negative thing I can say is that the overal quality is merely average. I've only worn it twice and little feathers keep sneaking out. It's also fairly easy to leave scratch marks on it. If you're walking down the sidewalk and accidentally rub up against a bush you'll probably get a scratch mark or two on the jacket.
It's a good jacket, but not great. A little too expensive considering its merely average build quality.

Very thin. Not as warm as a similar coat I bought a few years ago. Pockets are not big enough to easily fit a normal size smart phone. Pocket zipper kept snagging on the sleeve material. Ended up returning it.

The jacket could be more warm for having down and also the outside material could be more thicker and durable. I was smoking with the jacket and a tiny ash got on it and I brushed it off right away but nonetheless it burned a tiny hole in it. I also noticed a tiny bit of the dien is starting to come out of the seams.

I have several Columbia product and have been very pleased. The 590 jackets are a resl disappointment. The family and I wore them on vacation and were horrified when we went in a restraint to eat and had feathers all over our cloths. It was so bad we had to step back outside and try to brush some of them off our cloths, not all of them came off even after washing. We had to fight and watch for feathers floating into our meals. These jacket are very very poorly made. They do not hold up to the normal Columbia standard such as other products.

Mine runs a little big in the chest and snug in other areas. The coat is advertised as the lightest and warmest they've made. I beg to differ. I went out in 28F weather and was freezing. For a down jacket and a thermal lining I expected better. I would say the optimal temperature for this jacket is 35-50F. Don't expect this to keep you warm in freezing or well below freezing temperatures. They made this thing thin and light and with that comes the issue of warmth. I'll take my Carhartt out in true winter weather.
The previous jacket I had from Columbia was exceptional. I could be warm in -10F. Not with this one...

Nice jacket but sized very large. I wear a size large in just about everything (Patagonia, Arcteryx, etc.) ordered this in Large and found it to be very big. Would suggest sizing down.

Jacket is high quality well made and comfortable. However, not as warm as advertised. Okay for fall but not ideal as temperatures get lower.
