This jacket is great. Is light but works well in cold. It's stylish but still blocks out all wind. I would recommend this if this is your first down jacket, you won't be disappointed.

The hooded jacket 590 turbodown in my opinion is amazing, comfortable, warm, and light, its design is very fashion together with its high technology for the cold protection, it is awesome.

I just recived my jacket and its everything i spected. The color blue its a little bit more darker in compare at the photo, but its even better, i like it more

This jacket is lightweight and very warm. Love the hood and the cut of this jacket. I'm a solid medium in Columbia jackets and this one didn't disappoint in the fit. I'm 5'9" 155lbs. and the medium fits perfect. Packs up easy in pack or luggage. Just wrapping up winter here in NW CO and this worked perfectly all season. Didn't have to break out the big puffy once. Loses random feathers but nothing more than any other down jacket. Time will tell on the durability but everything seems fine after a long winter. My second Columbia jacket purchase this year. Very satisfied. If you're on the fence, buy it.

Much warmer than it seems - works well with just a long sleeve shirt at 30F

I was a little worried when I got the jacket in. I didn't think that it was going to be warm enough here. I am over seas and it pretty cold here in the low teens. This jacket has held up great here and kept me very warm. It is very light weight and thin making it easy to pack around with me. Over all great jacket.

I purchased this coat for my husband who is always chilly in the winter. He was getting tired of the bulk of his cotton duck winter jacket. He was skeptical of how thin this coat is, but after wearing it for a few weeks in a cold Illinois winter, he is sold on the Omni-Heat technology. It is is main winter jacket now, and he appreciates how light and comfortable it feels, especially when driving in a car.

Great coat. Didn't like the buffalo color.

Great All around jacket. Light and warm. Good down to about 20 degrees with fleece and tech t-shirt. Easy to store in pack. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

As a woman, I purchased this men's jacket for myself and am very pleased with my purchase! I tried several of the women's down jackets and was not impressed with the fit, as they were mostly athletic fit and I wanted something looser. I wore this jacket in the frozen tundra of northern North Dakota (Minot area) while ice fishing on Devils Lake and STAYED WARM, amazingly since the temperature was in the negatives the entire day. Obviously when you're in such cold temps, you're only going to run from place and not linger out in the frigid air. It kept the wind off, only I wish the hood had a way to cinch it tighter, instead of having to zip it all the way up to your chin to keep it in place. Packing it in my carry-on bag was a breeze, as it folded down and didn't hold on to a lot of air. The only con I can offer is that it does shed a few of the down feathers every now and then, or you'll get a random poke by them. I live in North Carolina and it's almost too warm for our weather here, but is perfect for anywhere.

This jacket is surprisingly light and very warm. Packing for hiking Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa will be no problem and I have no concerns about staying warm during snow flurries. The single inside pocket is well placed for devices. I would have preferred an outside chest pocket but not a serious issue. Nice color and well made.

I bought this jacket for casual wear and to wear over a pullover for more warmth protection. I could not be more happy with my purchase. The fit and sizing is perfect; the length proportions in the arms and body section are ideal, something that other jackets struggle with. The quality is top notch. I will definitely be buying more Columbia jackets in the future.

Light weight but extremely warm, husband wants one now

This is the best jacket I have owned. The warmth to weight ratio is ridiculous. It is very light weight and thin unlike some others, while also very warm. I wore it in 15 degree weather on a windy day with nothing more than a cotton shirt underneath and was very comfortable.

My son loves Thalia jacket... He told me it keeps him so warm...

Got this coat for myself after buying other Columbia products with the Omni heat lining. This is a great feature along with the turbo down fill, makes for a great, lightweight coat, that is incredibly warm. Thank you Columbia for yet another great product.

I needed a new jacket, and was heading to Minnesota in January, so knew I needed something warm. This coat is very light and packs extremely well, and yet is as warm as the bulkiest jacket I own. Minnesota was sub-zero and low single digits temperatures, and the Turbodown kept me warm. I initially wanted a jacket without a hood but it wasn't available in my size, so I ordered the hooded jacket. I love it so much, I ordered another - I saw the hoodless jacket available in my size and grabbed one!

Bought this jacket as a casual winter jacket and was surprised how lightweight it was. It keeps me very warm as well as insulated.

This jacket is the best combination of light weight and real warmth I have found. I wore it in 10 degree weather with a slight breeze walking my dog 2 miles. I was comfortably warm. You cannot beat down for insulation, and it is well sewn so the down does not shift. There is a roomy hood, and an inside zip pocket in addition to the two outside zip pockets. The drawstring waist is also a plus. Plus, the jacket looks good. I highly recommend it.
