If you are active in cool to cold temps then this is good to have.. As for the omni-heat factor you have to sort of work for it like stay active to keep you warm if you are just standing around or sitting around then you need to go up the scale to heavyweight or arctic base-layer. if you have got insulated clothing on like insulated snow paints...coveralls then this midweight would work for you it has work for me wearing insulated clothing in 30 degree weather. now for the fit the paints are kind of form fitting but its a comfortable type of fit. the top is kinda loose fitting not to baggie just the right kinda of loose fitting for me

Got this set of base layer for my boyfriend to keep warm working outside and they work great. He stays warm and they are fitted enough that he can wear it under his everyday clothes, plus the material is soft not scratchy like long underwear. He was so happy with them, we purchased a second set.

I purchased the shirt for my nephew. He works outside in cold. He refuses to work without it since he received it.

I was impressed with the feel, look, fit and function. I've used under armour and Nike fitted baselayer shirts before, but this out performs them. It is a tight fit, but nowhere as tight as the others. Very comfortable and very warm. I usually have to wear a shirt and hoddie at home in the winters, but I wore just this shirt and I was fine! I will be purchasing several more. Wish I found this years ago.

I wore this base shirt in -4 degree weather. It fit well and worked very good as a base layer under my heavier sweater. The quality is very good and the material does not itch or bind. Overall I am very pleased with this shirt.

Like the jackets with Omni-Heat, you can wear fewer layers when you wear this base layer. They are very warm, yet, when you go inside or get in the car, you do not cook or sweat.

One star off because I had to repurchase becausethe tall size fits like a XL or 2X not a large, its too loose. I dont see why it needs to be wider instead of just longer.

This baselayer will definitely keep you toasty on the trails or whenever you need that extra layer.

Long sleeves, possibly intentional to wrap over your hands. Hugs quite a bit against the body.

This product is excellent for a thin base layer. I was able to significantly reduce my number of layers and improve mobility out on the water. Extra layers can weigh you down, and drain your energy a lot quicker. This product will keep you warm with less [layers], allowing for more effective hours spent scouting on the water.

These are good if you are working indoors with some outdoor activity. If you are spending lots of inactive time outdoors I would suggest a heavier layer. Im 5'10" 190lb and a large was perfect.

It's a bit small but it stretches and as a base layer, will definitely keep you warm. Tested at 2 degrees in Vail, CO with a shell and no issues with cold.

Shirt is very lightweight yet warm. Wish there were more camo options for hunting.

I'm very excited about this shirt. It is very stretchy and therefore does not restrict movement at all. The omni-heat seems to definitely add warmth to an otherwise mid-weight layer. Feels durable, but I have not put it to the test as of yet. My only concern is that the omni-heat lining seems thinner than what I am used to. Not sure if this is to accommodate the stretch or what, but seems like they are more likely to flake off in the washer/dryer.

I am 5'7 and 170lbs with an athletic build. I bought a size medium and the fit is perfect around my chest and torso. The sleeves run way too long on these that it bunches up on my wrist. Tried a size small and the fit around my chest and torso isn't the same but sleeves were the right. This is a good baselayer that kept me warm and dry during many winter activities. Too bad about the sleeves.

The sleeves on these shirts run very long. I don't recommend this product unless you have long arms, otherwise it's a very nice, comfortable and functional under layer.

Happy with all of the Columbia base layer options. We've used them exclusively over the last two seasons snowmobiling with no complaints. Warm and durable!

Size and color were perfect. This base layer was medium warmth. I would not buy it again. It is not warm enough. I would get heavy warmth next time.

Used it last weekend on a rainy and cold backpack trip. It worked well. This is a great base layer shirt. I am a classic medium and the torso fits well (not too snug), but the sleeves are about an inch too long. Would get 5 stars if it fit appropriately. Nice garment overall.
