Great winter boots for my middle school age son. They are much more reasonably priced than comparable brands and the blue color looks really cool.

It had a very short break in period. After that it felt really comfortable. I’m standing and walking 11 hours a day so these shoes are awesome!

Feel great after a hour or two of breaking in. Comfortable, good walking support (don't feel every small rock like the pair I just replaced), and good price point for occasional wear (walking dogs). Also like the look, good enough that I could wear at work if I ever had to.

I bought these boots as work boots for landscaping projects, trail work, and cutting/thinning brush and trees, mostly on steep terrain. The trail work often entails (of course) hiking several miles. So far, so good after putting them to these uses for over a week. They are quite comfortable, with one caveat I'll explain in a moment. The soles are grippy and flexible, but solid enough for the work I do. The collar is well padded. The arch is just right for my flat feet. They run a little larger than other Columbia boots and shoes I have. The leather requires little break in and has stretched a bit in a short time. The boots look very nice - not overly clunky but still protect my feet from heavy rocks, hard tools, etc. The caveat has to do with the toe crease where the boot flexes as you walk. A few people have mentioned this in reviews on other sites. I tried on several pairs in different sizes and colors and all of them caused varying degrees of discomfort- from uncomfortable pressure to painful smashing - from the leather pushing hard onto my big toe, about an inch or so from the tip of my toe. I experimented with the pair that caused the least discomfort, and only in my left foot. I walked around the house trying all sorts of things - thicker socks, layers of socks, tying the laces differently, different insole, placing foam pads on top of my toe... Eventually I found the right combination to reduce the discomfort, and took a chance and wore them outside in the real world. After about 7 miles and a couple days of landscaping work, the problem seems to be gone and I can just wear normal hiking socks with them. All in all, I really like these boots and am glad I bought them. Just glad I was able to try on enough different pairs to find one that worked.

Purchased 5 boots from Zappos and these were the winner for my husband. He walked around the house in all 5 pair until he narrowed it down to this boot. They are lightweight but supportive. Thanks to Zappos for excellent customer service in accepting the other 4 pair of boots back. My husband did remove the insole and put in his own for his high arches.

Great and durable lightweight work boot. Have been wearing these daily walking upwards of 6 miles a day over 8 hours. Have held up well, no separation, and moderate arch support. Felt true to width and size. Will buy again.

When I first took these boots out of the box I was amazed at how light they were. I wear a size 17 and it really fatigues my legs when I wear heavy boots due to the amount of walking that I do. In addition to being lightweight these boots possess great arch support and stability as if I am wearing a comfortable sneaker.

They feel like a Glove's to my feet. Although the color is misleading; nevertheless, I have Cleveland Cave's apparel which work well with this Boot!

Boots have good waterproofing. However inexpensive leather meant less pliability when broken in and small toes on both feet wore through and created holes. I have worn these boots before and they lasted 1 yr w about 500 hiking mi and daily wear. The latest pair lasted 4 months and about 100 hiking miles. I look forward to trying them again in replacement pair but will limit their use to ontrail wear. I am a large man,weigh 280 lbs and feel that may have been a factor in durability. They received a 2 star rating due to waterproof ing capabilities and were tested in very wet Pacific Northwest.

Ordered these in suede finish three years ago for a trip. Wanted these again in the matte finish. Excellent boots for hiking, dog walking, rough trails. Comfortable for all day wear with excellent tread depth for rainy days and puddles.

This makes about the third pair of Columbia's Newton Ridge boots. Wish I had these boots when I was hitting the peaks of Colorado instead of my 4 pound clunker go to battle boots. The Newton's weigh in at 1-1/4 lbs. I think. Getting the box from the Post Office I remember thinking 'I wonder if they forgot to put the boots in the shoe box'. Great price from Zappos. Did my maiden hike this morning and felt great! No break-in needed.

Didn't realize this was Men's. I like the boot but returning it for a smaller size.

This is the 2nd pair I have purchased or my husband! he has a wide foot and these boots fit him perfect. He loved the color this boot can be dressed up to wear to work , being waterproof makes them perfect for year around wearing.

This hiking boots feel great there comfortable and the price is not bad for this boots probably buy same boots just different color

Great boot, sized correctly and very comfortable

These fit well and were very easy to 'break in'. I walk 2-3 miles in them and they feel comfortable, just like my walking tennis shoes.

Boots fit like a glove and look great. Lots of compliments.
