This is a really nice coat that runs true to size. I ordered a small and am 5'4" / 125 lbs and it fit nicely. It's definitely a winter coat and will look a little bulky if you try to wear it in the Spring and Fall. The hood is detachable, the sleeves are a bit long, and the collar stays standing up whether the hood is attached or not, so you can't fold the collar down if you wanted. The belt transforms the coat from a big winter coat to a form-fitting coat worthy of wearing out at night in yucky weather. This is a heavy duty rain coat or a light winter coat for work or going out.

My mother in law loved this trench! It is cut very well and fits her great.

I finally bought myself a grown up rain coat after years of standing out in the rain at kids sports events. I now wear this coat all the time! It's comfy, stylish and warm during wet/cool weather. I've gotten many compliments on this coat already!

I love that this coat is windproof, water repellent and has the warmer inside. Perfect for MN cool spring evenings sitting outside at high school sports. Like the option of the hood as well.

I love this coat! I wear a North Face full length down coat all winter and needed a coat for spring and fall. This trench is dressy enough for me to wear over a skirt and casual enough to wear with jeans. I love all the details; zippered pockets, sleeve stitching, classy belt. And I know that with North Face quality, I'll be enjoying this coat for a long time. Thanks!

I absolutely love this jacket! It's so comfortable, very stylish and extremely versatile. I wear this coat to work, outdoor walks, and just everyday use. I was worried because a lot of reviews said it runs small, however, I did not find that to be true at all. I am a pretty true Medium (5'9, 155lbs) in mostly everything I own and this was no different, it is long enough that it cover hips and keeps your butt warm :). My only 2 semi-negative comments are: The bottom zipper unzips too easily so when you bend down it pops open, and the lining of the sleeves are a fleece material which is never easy to put on with sweaters in colder weather. But I would definitely recommend this coat!

I needed a rain coat with a hood so I wouldn't have to carry an umbrella. This coat is stylish and fits true to size as recommended by the website.

I honestly can't say anything negative about this trenchcoat the colors great goes with everything I like that the zipper is covered up the length is perfect and I had rather long arms and I like the long sleeves

It's a beautiful coat that stylish for everyday use. It's perfect for Spring or Fall, and be worn casual or dressy. It doesn't look like a raincoat but repels water and blocks the wind very well. The only thing I don't care for is that I feel the hood needs to cover the front of my face more. When I wear my hair any way but down it tends to slide back revealing my face, forehead, and front hair leaving me exposed to the rain.

This coat is great for the unpredictable high and low weather of NYC. One day it's sunny and 70 the next it's rainy and 20.

Amazing coat. I love my north face winter coat/parka and needed a transitional coat for Michigan weather that easily varies 30-40 degrees each day. I like the flat finish of the coats fabric; the charcoal grey is perfect to add a scarf and have a nice spring look.

I've been wanting this coat ever since I saw it, and finally bought it a few weeks ago. I've had many compliments on it because it looks so good--doesn't matter if I wear it work, the gym, the store or church. It's versatile, comfortable and stylish.

This trench can dress up or dress down. I've worn it with heels and a skirt to the office and in jeans to my son's basketball game on a rainy night. The sleeves are perfect length for my long arms (I am 5'10" and sleeves are always too short), the shoulders allow room to move and the waist is fitted enough to be flattering, while allowing a sweater to be worm comfortably underneath. I recommend this style to all women!!

This is my first NF purchase. I was in need of a new raincoat for work. Hard to find one well made, stylish and with a hood these days. Though I wish the length was longer, I couldn't be happier. I sized up because I feel NF runs small and I wanted this coat to go over a suit. Love the long sleeves. Also hard to find as I am tall. I will definitely be back for a spring raincoat.

Be sure to use the website's sizing guide. I would have gotten an XS (my "normal" size), but got the S because of what the site suggested and I'm glad I did. Except for the sleeves being a bit longer than I'd like, the coat fits perfectly. (It would have been too snug in the XS size.)

It fits me perfectly (small size), I am a size 6 in number. Love the fact that is so light and comfortable to wear in chilly, windy or rainy days!!!

This jacket is breathable, not too heavy and so comfortable. I hate feeling restricted by coats. I was originally attracted to it because it is so flattering with the belt and I love longer trenches. My only concern would be that it isn't as warm as I originally thought, but I suppose it's intention isn't to be a heavy winter coat since it is a softshell. I feel that it does a good job blocking wind and love the material. Hopefully with layering I can still be warm when the temperatures really drop, because in my opinion the heavy winter coats are out of my price range for a coat. As an added bonus, I love that it doesn't have the logo on the front. Very classy, very comfortable, a great jacket.

My wife says this is her perfect fall coat. She loves the length - it keeps her "loins" warm. she says she can even wear it under her winter coat as an extra layer!

Love the new longer style! It will make it even warmer. It looks stylish while being casual. Fits true to size and the hood is a great addition too. I got the grey color and it is the perfect mid-shade grey.

Purchased this one with a replacement card to the previous style as the lining was defective, and this one appears to be all I want it to be. Great mobility for busy days in the rain, love the two way zipper. The navy color is spot on for not wanting a black rain coat but something similarly versatile; it's my go to rain jacket. The last style had a removable hood, and I think I like that better, but we'll see how it goes this winter. So far so good

Perfect jacket for every day commute to work in city and more ! Keeps the wind chill away while styling every day. Great fit and super comfy.

I think a heavier zipper for the heavier coats would make the product even better

Overall I like the jacket but I'm returning it because the hood does not provide good enough coverage.
