My son measures a size 4 in the store, so I bought a size 4. The boots are huge on him. He has a narrow foot, so that may play a part in the largeness of the boot.
Also, the red is a maroon red, not a "red red". My son's favorite color is red.
I am disappointed in this boot.

I bought three models and it's impossible to put them on. I even sized up from what my son usually wears. Not sure how people are putting these on. I tried to put it with the thinnest socks we have. No luck. It's not small. It's hard to fit the toes into the shoes. This is the first time I'm encountering this problem with my son's shoes. I removed all the boxes immediately, since my husband wears Sorels and brand seemed to have a good reputation. I'd return all of them otherwise. I'm adding the star because it seems sturdy. Too stiff to put on.

My son felt the foot area where it turns from fabric to rubber pinched the width of his foot. I even ordered a full size larger hoping to get two seasons out of the boots. The top of the boot could be pulled tighter but was a little sloppy because of the amount of fabric. Jeans would fit into it ok, but snow pants wouldn't fit over it.

Broke the first day worn after about 30-45 mins. The warranting replacement says it'll take 4-6 weeks to fix after receiving them, which basically makes them worthless for winter.

Waldorf Parent here. He completely Hated it. ALL the winter boots with the stupid insulated inserts are USELESS. I have tried MANY. Its insulation is soft though but it wrinkles a little inside left foot which made my son reject even the size 2. My son wears size 1 and cant even put his foot in in size 1 small and narrow and heavy. Ordered size 2 size is good but are BULKY and Heavy, could even walk with such Bulky shoes on. Obviously WHY anyone should wear a full size up just to give room for an insert why dont use THE RIGHT Material to make the boot ITSELF warm just like Bogs do?
