Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Did not realize there was a difference in the Denali 2. I did not like the fabric vs the original Denali.

I bought this thinking it would be like the TNF Candescent full zip fleece jacket I have; more relaxed yet with a slim feminine fit. Boy was I wrong! This joint fits like a men's jacket with women's printed on the tag (I usually size up so I can wear long sleeves under it if it's colder outside). It's so boxy and weird. Like the arms are relaxed but it's tight in the shoulders, the cinch in the waist is pretty much not there, and the very bottom of the jacket doesn't lay. It kind of just flares out a little; I'm assuming it's because of the drawstring in it but I don't like it. I'm not sure which one they sent me but it's nothing like what the model is wearing. I have A LOT of TNF jackets and they all are a hit or miss. This one for me was a miss.

I am replacing my wife's Denali jacket from 15 years ago. The Denali 2 has subtle changes but its still the same warm coat. The PROS are that its warm and durable as well as that it can be used with other NorthFace shells to make a warmer and waterproof coat. The CONS are its not worth the price, bulky, and somewhat constrictive too because its fleece vs some other lighter material that can keep you warm. People should consider this as a coat to be worn to stand outdoors in a line, waiting for a ride, or casual walking. Now if you are doing anything activity wise this may not be the best choice because it does not let you breathe nor wick moisture. For that you are better off getting a coat thats multipurpose and keeps you extra warm and cools you from overheating because its light (breathes and wicks). The Denali 2 is warm but not multipurpose. Coats in this price range should have better universal features and this moreso just has the name adding to the price.

I love the look on this jacket. Unfortunately it runs small and a size up was not available so I had to return it.

Very good quality, and I liked the look. it was way too bulky and heavy for me. It looked like I was wearing a man's coat. Even a smaller size would be too bulky due to the cut. I am 5'10", 138 lbs. and 67 years old. I have very long arms but this jacket had arms too long for me. The model in the picture looks like she is wearing a more fitted jacket. This jacket was too boxy for me.

Nice jacket I returned to try and new size sleeves was too long and didn't like that they look like a pull over type sleeve. Scared it could stretch and look horrible around the wrist area. It's like a sweat shirt pullover sleeve. My size I ordered was too big so didn't like the look will update when new size is available. But felt soft and love the overall look and style but it just didn't fit me.

I really want to love this jacket but the sleeves are just too long. I have considered a smaller size but afraid the rest of the jacket will be too small

Have been buying the Denali since the first ones, and personally own 3. I want A new one, white with the gray in xxl. Not interested in cream and black. Pluck the length is shorter.

I bought this jacket to wear as a zip-in layer for my North Face Mountain jacket. However it doesn't really work with it. The sleeves are wa-aaay too long and interferes with putting the jacket on making it very difficult. It also puffs out too much throughout the front torso area. With the Mountain jacket being blousy in this area it adds to the problem. I wasn't sure what to do with it so held on to it past the return period. I'll just have to roll up the sleeves and wear it alone.

The fit is good in the upper body but tight at the hips, that's why I had to go one size up

This coat is a little boxier than the other women's jackets so if you are looking for a looser fit, this is one of the better jackets. Personally I did not like the material - the sleeves and majority of the jacket are a type of fleece like material that attaches and attracts fuzz/hair compared to the materials used on some of the other jackets. I ultimately returned it and bought the 'Shelbe Raschel' Softshell Jacket and love it! The material on that is so soft and doesn't attract/hold onto fuzz.

Overall good quality and sharp look. It does pick up a lot of fuzz and hair.

This jacket is the one that started it all. I thought it would be better. It's got a good fit, but it feels like plastic. On top of that, it sounds like plastic. The wind cuts right through the jacket and I have To wear long sleeves under it so that I feel comfortable. i will not recommend this but it does keep you warm.

I had several different colors of this jacket but the new design has poor material on the edge of the sleeves. The overall material seem thinner and poor quality compare to the ones I bought before!

Loved the jacket, but I will be returning. It was way to short and stiff to be comfortable, since I'm 5'10" longer clothes are a must and this just didn't make the cut. But I have no doubt that this would have kept me warm.

I love the Denali jackets from TNF in general but I was not too happy about this one. First off the chest pocket on the jacket I ordered did not have a tassel so it is difficult to open and close being that the actual zippers are small. Also I am definitely not crazy about the sleeves and the looseness of opening versus the old denali jacket sleeves. I only gave it three stars because it fits nicely, it's warm, and the color was cute.

One of the best features has been "costed" out. The pit zips. They were wonderful for heat regulation, especially when paired with a shell with the same feature. Too bad The North Face did not do their homework. Why would you remove special features? It's always best to add them. The pockets have also gotten smaller. Harder to reach in to get your phones, keys, etc. I will take TLC with my three older Denalis.

Disappointed in this Denali 2. My older one was much better. This new style was stiffer, the fleece was not soft and comfortable. Also, the shade of blue looked different than the picture. Would go back to the Denali instead of the Denali 2. As always, Zappos is the greatest !

I was really excited about getting this jacket, but unfortunately I was quite disappointed when I first tried it on. It looks very boxy and not feminine at all. Sure, it's comfortable and warm, but for the steep price I expect it to fit and look good too. I'll have to return it and look for something that's a bit more flattering.
