True to size in length, very narrow. I do not have wide feet and my foot was hanging over the edge of the sole. Otherwise seemed very comfortable, but I didn't do any real walking in them because they are going back, unfortunately the bright turquoise color isn't currently available in my size in wide. They Look great though.

I was grateful for all the other people who wrote reviews on the shoe. It is definitely worthwhile ordering a half size larger and a width larger than you normally take. I have always worn Aspics and I really like this shoe it is very stylish and comfortable. I am grateful that I am able to put my orthotic inserts in and have room to move. Thanks again to all who took the time to write a review before!

These are definitely a half size, maybe even a whole size, smaller. I even compared them to my Asics from last year, and they are a good 1 1/2" shorter. Still have the wide toe box, which I love. Returning these for a larger size.

I've always worn Asics size 7.5, but the last pair I ordered felt really tight/small. So, this year, going with the size 8 (feels like the previous 7.5) - feels more snug than I thought going up a half size would, but I'll break them in and see how they feel then. Also, this pair was not as comfy right out of the box as previous Asics I've purchased. Normally, they are SUPER comfy right out of the box.

I loved my gel excite 3's so when I needed a new pair i decided to try the new version. The shoes are NOW comfortable but for the first time ever I actually had to break in a pair of gel asics. I've had many pairs of gels and have never had this issue. Still a good shoe just wish they had been comfy from day 1!

One I found was Aspics Gel Excite 4 SN # T6E8N-900L 'basically white and black trimmed in a light green. Do not see this combination above. Any ideas

The fit is fine but the quality is disappointing. What has happened to ASICS?!! Purchased these shoes last June really haven't worn them very much through the winter months. Now wearing as spring is approaching and the front toes are coming unglued. Really!!!!!!! Looks like I need to find a better brand for quality.

Wanted to like these but not as comfortable as other Asics styles. Felt cramped in the toe box. Had to return

They squeak when your walk.

I normally wear a size 8W in the Asics Gel Venture line. This 8W felt a tiny bit short in the toe box, so if you find the Venture is a bit too roomy, this Excite might be the shoe for you. It is very pretty. Fairly lightweight.

These run small. I am normally 7.5 but had to order 8.5 wide. The 8.5 wide fit, but they seemed very stiff. I really liked the style and color, but retuned the sneakers because they felt too stiff for my feet. Maybe they would have loosened up over time, but I didn’t want to take the chance.

The shoe was cute. I have RA so it’s harder for me to find a comfortable shoe. Had to return because they felt too tight.

I have owned many pairs of ASICS sneakers and have loved them all. I ordered this pair a half size larger in wide width. It was a great disappointment! They are short in overall length because my toe hit the top. They are tight across the toes and instep and lose in the heel. They are going back.

I've been wearing Asics for quite a few years. Unlike Asics I have purchased in the past, this style is very narrow in the toe box - not what I was expecting.

I have been a GT-1000 wearer for over 10 years. Due to the change in the style of the GT 1000 I branched out to try other Asics. The Gel Excite 4 colors are AWESOME, fun and bright. The Orange and Purple shoes are much richer in person and closer to a Northwestern Purple. The shoe was comfortable in the medium and did not feel narrow but did look narrow in comparison to the Gel Contend 4 (8.5, wide). After wearing in my house in comparison with the Contend 4 (8.5, wide) I determined more support was in the Contend than in the Excite. Although I liked the styling and colors of the Excite better than the Contend, the Contend won out for support, comfort and enough room in the toe area with cushioning.

I like these but... after two days they’re the squeakiest shoes I’ve ever worn EVER!:(

Unfortunately, I must return these - they are way too narrow for my wide foot.

As with so many fitness shoes with a mesh top this one allowed a great deal of sand to sift into the shoe after a brief walk on the beach. Pronation support was better than some shoes. But I'm returning them and will try to find shoes that keep out the elements.

Pretty shoe but returned for 2 reasons - not supportive/tall enough, and wasn't wide enough. compared to the other brand i tried in the same size (brooks) it was much smaller.

These are very comfortable and offer decent support, but they are too narrow; I ordered a wide and they look and feel very narrow.

I have narrow feet but this style runs small so I tried on 1/2 size bigger and the toe box was still too small. I went a full size bigger but it's too big. Other reviews said to get it in wide, maybe that would work but the color I wanted was completely out. I ended up returning all sizes.

Toe box fairly narrow. I ordered a half size larger but they were still too narrow - returning. Footbed did not seem to hit in the right places.

Im a size 7.5 and ordered an 8. They're small. They hurt. Not much support and no way can I add an insole.

LOVE the colors! I also have the AISCS Gel Nimbus 17 and that one has more cushioning in the ball of the foot. This is a good shoe, but didn't offer me as much support as the Nimbus 17. For the price it is a good shoe to run errands and things in. I stand a lot at work and wear them there will little trouble. If your are looking for more cushioning, I'd spend the money for a Gel Nimbus shoe
