Very comfortable shoes. I do have a slightly wide width so I decided to return the pair and get something with a wider toe box.

I've owned several Salomon trail shoes over the years and the Speedcross is my favorite pair so far. The tread is ideal for running mixed trail conditions (snow, ice, packed mud, rock) and the lacing system allows for quick adjustments and hugs your feet without becoming overly constrictive. This is a somewhat stiffer/more stable shoe (I also own some Hokas which feel downright spongy by comparison, but are perfect for summer conditions on packed dirt trail or in-town runs). The one complaint I have is, the Speedcross line runs narrow compared with other Salomon models, so I was forced to go up a half size to account for width, which means some slight extra roominess in the heel area. Not a big deal to me, and a very worthwhile trade-off for all the other great aspects of this shoe, but people with wide feet should be aware of the need to size up or to hunt down the limited selection of wide width options Salomon offers in this line. I just was willing to sacrifice a little bit of function for fashion, I love the bright color combos and all I could find was plain gray/navy in wide width when I made my purchase. If you fit into mens sizing, that would probably solve the problem, but at a womens 7 that wasn't an option for me.

The size and fit felt true to size. Very comfortable!! These are for my anniversary in November so I've only worn them inside just a little. Will submit another review after my anniversary when I can wear them outside. But I'm sure it's going to be great. I already have one pair of these in a slightly different shoe. But still Salomon. They're the BEST!!! See you again in November. Style of shoe is also great.

Really felt the stability of these shoes while out walking through the woods.

My foot loved the shoe the minute I put them on. I wore them all day yesterday & there were no complaints from my feet. In fact, they love the stability.
