What more can you expect from active winter boots? I got these late in the season and really look forward to putting them to work next winter.

Bought these boots a couple months ago for the frigid Canadian winters. I have really poor circulation in my toes from years of frost bite and the Toundra Pro's kept my feet warm in up to -45C. They always keep my feet at the perfect temperature, never too hot or too cold. Only slight issue was when I was snowmobiling in -35C, the wind penetrated the boots quite a bit which left me a little chilly.

I have now had these boots for two winters and worn them for hiking in the snow and walking through snow and slush to work in Chicago. They have been durable and held up well. They are also super comfortable, not too heavy and warm. While they are not cheap, they have been the best winter boots I've owned

So far a very nice boot for every day use, either walking in the city or on top of mountains, still as warm as described.

I've had the Toundra Pro boots for a few years now and generally only wear them when I'm outside for extended periods in -25C to -45C in Northern Canada. I've tried many other boots that say they're good to -45 but let me tell you I've been outdoors geared up to the teeth with cold weather clothing and the only thing that was actually 'warm' on me was my feet in these boots. I can't speak to durability as I only wear them a few times a year, but I never planned for them to be a daily wear item.

Purchased this boot as I have generally cold hands and feet. These boots have solved one of those problems. Very happy with them so far, hoping they hold up as well as most Salomon products do

Bought this boot over a month now and so far it's a great boot. Very warm and confortable. I have no problem staying outside at -20c and my feet stay warm and dry. Great for long hick or just playing outside in the snow. I was sceptical about buying this boot after some review but so far I'm very happy with it. Definitely recommend this boot.

I expected this boot to be heavy and bulky even though I had read the weight. It is absolutely the best lightweight boot ever. We have not had a lot of cold or snow, so I haven't been able to really test it. But I have used it on cold days at the barn and love it.

My wife and I both bought a pair of these boots. We've used them to do some winter hiking and most recently some snowshoeing and are extremely pleased with how they've performed.

I have been buying Salomon boots and trainers for over 10 years. I buy a new pair of boots every year and have tried nearly every style customised for my line of work ie the most heavy duty, yet lightweight, waterproof and warm in the most extreme conditions. These boots are by far the best. However if i was to give a bit of constructive criticism, which would help to make the "Perfect Boot".... It's weak point is where i have pointed to in the pics below. The leather has get really soft here and is already showing weakening at the seam. Which I wasn't expecting this early after buying them. I'll attach a picture of my last pair too. You'll see this is where they failed last time. I hoping this can be rectified as i do love these boots. They have also come up a little bigger than normal, so I might try coming down from a 10.5 to a 10. Also would it be possible to make a pair with ballistic gel toe caps. This gel hardens on fast impact so can protect the toes

Washes great in the machine. Great breathability and feel. GOOD.

I bought these from a local retailer. Winter use only for me. I snowshoe all over Fortress Mountain Alberta and when the snow is packed I crampon with deep spikes. Walk in snow, on ice, NEVER cold at any temp. Completely dry. Perfect stiffness as in good and stiff, especially when very cold. A bit too stiff to drive my transmission car any thing but a short drive but I wouldn't with big summer hikers either. Fourth winter season and show very little wear.

I am somewhat surprised by the bad reviews. I put in 4 good hikes in a short time line (Wisconsin had a late winter). Two of the hikes were all day, one in snow shoes, one in crampons. Boots performed admirably. I'm one of those cold feet people and these boots were more than comfortable down to about minus 9. Felt like I could have gone quite a bit colder too. A third hike was over a ridge and back (Devils Lake WI), about a thousand foot elevation each way over moderately rocky terrain. If they were going to fall apart I think that hike would have done it. I'm not doubting others experiences but my own has been very good. Boots look like new after four pretty good thrashes. I would buy them again.

I am very satisfied with my Toundra Pros. Living in New Hampshire, I use my Toundra Pros a lot. About a week ago, we had an outdoor sports day at the school where I work. The temperature was in the single digits, I was outdoors for hours, and my feet were comfortable. At other times over the winter, I've spent many hours outdoors moving snow, handling trees, and walking about, and my feet have stayed warm. The boots are waterproof, and I've walked through many slush puddles to test them. The grip on snow is good, and on ice is decent. The sole is stiff, which is something I like about it, because excessive flexing of the toes is a problem for me. The sizing is fairly true to size, given the online sizing chart when I ordered them. The boot is sized for normal width, rather than having a wide toe area. The lacing is easy to tie. The boots feel durable and solid, with reinforced areas at the toe and heel.

Dopo 1 settimana in giro per le nevi svedesi e norvegesi con temperature anche di -20, piedi sempre caldi. Confortevoli anche dopo lunghe camminate e tenendole indossate tutto il giorno. Consigliatissime !

Got them to replace my old winter boots (might use them in summer too because they are tall and good for difficult trips in the forest and on the mountains, not sure if it will be too warm for them) and I am very satisfied with them. To be honest I don't understand the low reviews, looks like one unsatisfied customer bombing the website with negative reviews for some reasons, because these are top notch. And it's what you'd expect from Salomon. I usually don't leave reviews but those negative reviews are way out of line with reality.

I'm an RCMP member working in the NWT and it's currently -51 Celsius.. these boots have kept up excellently in the snow, wind and ice. Highly recommend these boots.

The boots live up to the Salomon quality I've come to expect. My feet have remained warm and bone dry, even through the slushiest of days. The rubber patterns on the sole allow for easy clamping to snowshoes. My only real complaint was how long it took to break them in. There was a point where I was worried they would never break in but that eventually passed. And yes, they can be a little uncomfortable until they are completely broken in, especially around the shin. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase, which is good considering the price of these bad boys.

I have all kinds of winter boots and hiking boots as I live in the forests of Northern Ontario Canada and either hike or backcountry ski everyday with my dogs. That and I need warm boots for snow-blowing with my tractor. I bought the Toundras in the late fall of 2018 and wore them everyday in the winter of 2018/2019 and so far again this winter. They have a large toe-box which keeps my feet warm in -25C weather. The boots are feather-weight and comfortable - they cinch up tight and keep the snow out of the tops. They are a perfect match for the universal bindings on my OAC BC fat skis.
