As I opened the box, very impressed with the shoe and the aggressive sole. This is the WIDE shoe. Having wide feet, I need this wide to be a litte wider. I have to leave the shoe a little loose, otherwise it hurts my foot.

j'ai acheter la speedcross 4 au mois de dcembre juste aprs nol, et au bout de 2 mois je me suis rendu compte qu'elles taient coups sur la chaussure droite au niveau du petit orteil et aprs 1 autre mois c'tait la chaussure gauche au niveau du gros orteil a raison de 3 sorties semaines donc je suis trs du de la durabilit .Par contre trs content de l'accroche et du confort de la chaussure .

Bought the speedcross 4 as a replacement for my 3s after almost 700km of dedicated trail running without any issues. After running aprox 75km in my new 4s I am leaving them on the shelf. The fit has changed and no matter how tight I lace them my heel moves and I have already had blisters (I never once had a blister in my 3s). 2 other runners in our group have the same complaint about their 4s. It's very unfortunate since I have blindfully relied on my Speedcross for the past years I now have to start my hunt again for trail shoes. My advice is to try them properly before buying them if you are a long time Speedcross user. Otherwise the shoe itself seems well built and as durable as they always were.

ONLY managed to do about 1300km and the shoes are worn through on the heals

I bought 4 weeks ago done one event of 50k and probably about 80k of training the shoes are comfortable lightweight and fab to run in. The big down side is the material across the foot tears easily this is my 2nd pair and both have torn. Not sure if I will buy salomon again

I had the exact same problem as a previous post. My Speedcross 3 were amazing. Got me through marathons and mud runs. Unfortunately as soon as I tried the 4 on I knew they were way too narrow. I still have them brand new in the box, hoping for my feet to get smaller. I'm reluctantly looking at other brands, since I really love Salomon

The shoe has great comfort and style but lacks in durability

I have used Salomon Speedcross for years and haven't had an issue until now. I have always been the same size however my latest pair have a much thinner fit, leading to discomfort/pain. This doesn't make sense as I have had the same model and size shoe before and had no issues.

Love these shoes; I've been buying them for years!

I bought these for backpacking, I find them very soft and comfortable, until you're actually backpacking in them. I believe they're too soft all of my toes hurt really bad, due to the lack of support and being too soft.

I ordered the wide version and they are very narrow for a wide fit. I wear a EE and these were too narrow ti wear comfortably.

Whatever changes Salomon made to the sole between the Speedcross 3 and the Speedcross 4 ought to be undone for the Speedcross 5. The rubber has next to no grip on wet rock or, more alarmingly, wet paving stones. You can't walk down a wet city street in these shoes without the risk of slipping.
