Great shoes for the gnarly trails and rocks in AZ...shoes have held up awesome after 2 Spartan races, and over 100 miles or AZ trail running. They are a little warm to run in, will see how they work in the AZ heat...hold water a bit, would be nice to have some drains.

J'ai achete cette chaussure pour courrir hors-piste, sur des chemins, sur de l'herbe, sur des surfaces denivellees. Elle performe super bien puisqu'elle est legere mais donne beaucoup de stabilite. Bonne permeabilite. Et cette combination de couleur est geniale.

I am in law enforcement and hate boots. I've always worn the black, "shineable" tennis shoes like New Balance or Nike. Problem is, they don't do that great during foot chases in the woods or when its wet on the pavement. These Speedcross "look" stiff for some reason. But, they're not. They are incredibly comfortable and much lighter than they look. They're not that much heavier than my cross country shoes. The tread is really pronounced but they're fine on cement or tile. I highly recommend them for work or running. The laces are the coolest things. I wish all my shoes had these. You might have to Youtube it on how to use them. Otherwise, I've gotten great compliment from my coworkers. Definitely

I bought these a few weeks back to run around the wash near our house. These shoes have great traction and are comfy! Love them

I started using Salomon Speedcross with the 3 and then moved to the 4 when it was released. I have to say, they have all been super! The Speedcross 4 has taken a beating with a ton of training runs (5 - 15 miles) plus three Spartan Races thus far. They are light weight, have great foot support and incredible grip. Spartan Races are basically running up and down ski slopes all day. Some of the slopes are quite steep and slippery, especially if you're running the race in the rain. I've never run into a traction issue with these shoes. I see other runners constantly slipping and sometimes falling. The Speedcross 4 just grips and grips and grips. Even on hard packed trails or rocks, it's not an issue. The toe box is nicely fitted for my narrow feet. The heel support is very good as well without any slipping. The really nice thing about these shoes is they are comfortable and offer a nice cushion between your feet and the hard rocks. There are very few times that you feel any harsh impacts. Break-in for the shoes is flawless with only one or two runs needed. The Speedcross 4 offers great protection as well on harsh trails (broken tree branches or sharp rocks). The toes are protected and make climbing walls very easy. The only wish that I had for the standard Speedcross 4 would be better water drainage. If you're running in a Spartan Race or any OCR, you're more than likely to get your feet wet. Getting the water our of your shoes quickly helps a lot with rapid movement once you're out of the water. It's not terrible, but could be a little bit better. Overall, I love the Speedcross 4 shoes. I will only replace them with another Speedcross shoe once these wear out, whenever that is! My Speedcross 3 lasted well over 150 miles of trail runs and four Spartan races.

Bought these shoes about 2 months ago. I walk 4-6 miles a day and play a lot of golf with my Solomon's and they are terrific in all respects. Very comfortable and even on rainy days my feet stay warm and dry.

Loving these trainers, I bought them as I am getting more and more into trail running, and because of the recent snow and ice where I live decided to test them out in these conditions, I couldn't believe how much grip they gave in the snow and even on icy pavements and roads, it was like running with claws on, very comfortable and look great.

I owned the Speedcross 3 prior to this shoe and as much as I loved them, the Speedcross 4 is definitely an improved product. The shoe itself fits like a glove. The lacing system is great for cold hands and ensures a snug footbridge during my runs. The heel cup hugs my heels and there is zero lift noticeable. Overall I would highly recommend trying this shoe for anyone interested in trail running, obstacle racing or mid distance hiking.

This shoe is really tough. I wear it daily on construction sites

Needed a pair of light weight shoes for training on slick surfaces such as hardwood floors an non-matted surfaces..these fit the bill to a tee. Have put them through a number of training programs and am very happy with them.

I bought these shoes to deal with the mud and water on Spartan and Rugged Maniac races. The had great traction on the mud and crumbly dirt. Most importantly they drain well. Combined with wool compression socks my feet dried rapidly after the dunk wall. So well I do not even pay attention to my feet after water obsiticals.
