Have been wearing these for a few weeks. Both my feet have been bothering me. I like the construction of these shoes, but may have to add a different insole. Have not gotten the same level of comfort that I have enjoyed previously. This is a new model for me.

Great look and appear solid and great stability. These shoes are snug despite of perfect fit in terms of length - could probably use a wider width as these are quite tight. I am wearing slowly to break the in as opposed to Trabuco 9's which were perfect out of the box.

I really like Asics shoes. HOWEVER, for some reason (weight?) they have decided to leave gaps in the soles of the shoes that are filled with a much softer, "foamy" material that allows sharp twigs and cactus spines to stick into the bottom of the shoes (kinda like building a tank and saving on weight by leaving off half the armor). To fix this I bought a 5 dollar tube of Goop silicone adhesive and filled in the gaps in the sole. I will NOT be doing this again. The next time I need shoes, I'll check to see if Asics has decided to include complete soles on their shoes. If not, I'm done with Asics shoes.

I thoroughly enjoyed these shoes. This has been the ONLY model trail shoe I've bought consistently since 2010 starting with the Kahana 2 version. These have proven sturdy and comfortable. They have adequate support for my 220#+ frame and with new insoles help with my overpronation. I have used these as a multipurpose shoe doing everything from everyday wear, road running, backpacking, and trail running. These have performed wonderfully on technical and rocky surfaces. Minus 1 star because there is not a Kahana 9 version or an obvious successor, otherwise this would have been a 5 star review.

Been wearing Kahanas for years all the way back to number 3. I have probabaly gone through 20 plus pairs. For the first time a large tread section fell off my almost new Kahana 8. Also laces are now too short on the 8th generation of a superbly designed shoe. Should be a 5 star shoe. I wish Asics made a waterproof hiking shoe with this sole. It would blow away the competition.

These really were the perfect shoe for hiking. Not sure I would run a trail run in them since I don't want my Kayano's to get jealous
