I find these shoes are very comfortable but they are a little narrower than I would like.

These shoes were great right out of the box. They were not only comfortable but began to conform to my feet immediately.

I've been wearing the Gel-Kayano for at least 8-10 years. I dragged my feet purchasing this year's style because I didn't care for the color choices. I'm also disappointed that they've switched to more traditional lace positioning (from the previously angled style). Overall, these turned out to be as comfortable as I expected, although I don't think they have as good arch support as they used to. The color turned out to be slightly darker grey than pictured, so I was okay with this color.

A little more height in the toe box over the big toe would be helpful. Feels good. Need to see about longevity.

After reading some of the reviews for the Kayano 23, I have to say that I was a little worried that they would be too narrow or have too small of a toe-box to be a good replacement for my Kayano 21's. So when I tried a pair on at the store, I made sure to compare them to other well-known/reviewed brands, and in the end I stayed with Asics and purchased a pair of 23's. Yes the toe box is a bit smaller, but overall the shoe is MORE comfortable than the 21's, and they're far more comfortable than the other brands I tried. Also, I find the new style to be a huge improvement...I never did like the multitude of criss-crossing and 'web like' lines on the 21's!

Purchased these as a gift for our boss and while I had them out to wrap my brother tried them on and loved them so much he ordered a pair right at that moment!! Our office (dental) exclusively wears asics by choice!!! And this specific shoe is always our boss' pick! They last so so well and are very comfortable!

I've been wearing my orthopedic walking shoes for working out and finally bought these on the advice of my trainer. They are fabulous--I didn't know what I was missing in terms of cushioning! They've made a huge difference in my comfort level during workouts. I'm a big guy and these help absorb the shock from my speed and agility training.

Great training shoes, I have been using Asics for decades and I was the first runner they sponsored back in the 60's when it was still called Tiger--they always treated me right and the quality in the shoes has always been exceptional. Good looking also--love these shoes and will buy another pair shortly.

I walk & sprint so am looking for a super comfortable, soft shoe and this is it - Gel!! Initially it wasn't soft but by the 3rd mile it had molded perfectly. I really like this color as well - very noticeable to cars in the dusk.

Purchased about a month ago have just over 200 miles on them. Definite improvement over 22. All Asics needs to improve is the color selection not so drab.

I am very happy with this pair. It is rather hard to find the right width for my favorite brand, but Zappos make it possible.

I used to buy this style shoe to train in, but found that they are too heavy for anything that has jumping in it (burpees, jump lunges, jump squats, etc) I recently started running and have found these to be extremely forgiving on my knees and also super comfortable to wear while running long distances.

I have been using the Gel Kayano since the 17 and I have to say the 23 is the best yet by far! Great job Asics.

I read reviews that said the new Kayano ran tight in the toe area & recommended buying 1 size larger. I bought 1 size larger & am very pleased with the fit. The runner is no longer than the GEL-Quantum 360. So, I will remain a Kayano lover + a new lover of the GEL-Quantum 360.

I had the Kayano 23 for about one month. It is by far the most comfortable shoe I have run in ever. That's not just hype! I run for a living so my feet need comfort and support. The 23 gives me both. The fit is perfect and the toe box gives my toes room to expand when I run. I've run is Asics for many years and have liked just about every shoe I've bought but the 23 is truly my favorite. I plan to order 2 more pair so I can have extras just encase they change the design. Asics hit a home run with this shoe.

Great update. These shoes are really good looking, I love the all black, it's hard to find. They are lower cut than last year's model and it makes a big difference looks wise. Despite what others have said, the toe box isn't too narrow in my opinion. I find it average for a running shoe, plus the mesh material isn't restricting so I personally like the toe box. I often wear a 10 in Asics but I need a 10.5 in these. These are a little shorter than the Kayano 22s. The cushioning is less plush than last years model which is fine for me. I found last year's too squishy and bouncy. The 22s were great but the 23s are better. The only negative I can find is a little heel slippage but I haven't really tried tightening down the laces because it does't bother me. I highly recommend these shoes.

I recently purchased the new Gel Kayano 23 and have run every day since in them. The room in the toe area has been modified from the Gel 22 but I found this actually help support better my running gait and with noticeable increased cushioning on the sides of the foot and this modification in toe area the stability (I pronate) I assess is back to previous Kayano series . Good job Asics- I bought two pair to alternate

I bought these after much thought to the price, but it was totally worth it. I used to have Asics gel Kayano 20 and these are definitely much better. They are lighter and much more supportive. I have run in these and experience has been very good so far. I will update later as to how they wear

I like 23's better than 22's simply because there is more give on the sides- especially the toes. The 22's had a thicker navy blue side that didn't give as soon , as these 23's did. I have hammer toes, so this shoe feels so much better. I love the color and how cush the gel part is- I am a PE teacher and on my feet all day!!

Not that the Kayano needed improvements but this shoe is pretty amazing. It is lighter, more cushiony on the lip, and more gel pods in the sole. Sizing for me has not changed. Highly recommended.
