I love these shoes!! I need the support they supply. I order a whole size up and for the first time had to order wide, but my feet feel so good in these shoes. I tried another Brooks shoe and came back to these. The color is fine for me. I hope they never change the arch support and the cushioning as well as the help with pronation. These shoes are GREAT!

I wear size10-11 and this size 11 just fits nice. I have narrow foot and with a orthopedic insert it fits well and doesn't look large. Gives me very good support as I am recovering from planters facisious. Love the style and look.

This shoe is great, really a good fit for me. I ordered it in an 8.5 EE and it fits wonderfully on my wide feet without slipping on the heel. Very nicely cushioned; I bought it for walking but also needed it for a job where I was standing on a parking lot for several hours and I had no foot pain. Unlike a previous reviewer who didn't like the dark gray/pink color combination, I really liked it because it was a little different than the usual women's color combos and they don't show dirt as easily. I am an overpronator and I think this shoe will help with that issue; time will tell. These shoes were a little pricey but I liked the way they fit and support my feet better than the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 17 that I will be returning; those hurt my feet after a short time wearing them in the house. Thanks Brooks, for making wide fit, well cushioned shoes for women and thanks Zappos for great customer service.

This is the 3rd or 4th generation of Ariel's I have purchased. They are comfortable right out of the box but I wanted to wait until I wore them for awhile to write my review. They're great!! I wear a full orthotic and the footbed is easily removed and I did not have any issues with fitting the orthotic. If you pronate or overpronate, these Brooks Ariel offer excellent stability!

I have had several pairs of brooks shoes and they always fit great but these were too short.

I wore this pair of sneaker out with all my walking. I also got so much support from them. I need really good sneakers and I liked this sneaker a lot.

The shoe is wonderful – especially if you have stability or flat arches . I wear them all day every day. They are a tiny bit shorter than the last model, but otherwise much more stable than the Ariel 14. Highly recommend .I really like the new more subdued colors as well for every day use

Beautiful well made shoe. Love the style, but they definitely run a little small and a little narrow. My problem is the shoes (L & R) don't fit the same. I have tried various sizes hoping for the "appointed one" The 9 is too big and the 8.5 is snug.

I have problem feet and the Brooks Ariel has been my shoe for over 10 years now. I usually have been able to put on a new pair and go right away. I just got the 2016 and it is a little shorter and narrower than the same size pair that I ordered about 2 years ago, so I have had to make some adjustments so I doesn't rub my toes. I still love the shoe as my balance feels much more secure when I am wearing them. I have weak ankles and my feet turn easily in other shoes, which sometimes results in a fall. I remove the footbeds and wear them with orthotics as I have a flat foot and the arch support is not enough for me otherwise. The color is a little dark for me, but that is not a big deal.

I have been ordering these shoes for years. I work as an RN and they are comfortable and supportive for my 12 hour shifts. Brooks offer excellent quality despite being pricey. Order a 1/2 size up in this particular shoe

I really like the Brooks Ariel. Some reported it being small but I ordered my usual size and it fits just fine. The arch support is good, the best I've found. I wish they would make them in a color choice.

Over all great shoes and very happy with them! I have a very wide foot and even after breaking them in for awhile they still feel just a bit tight, but getting better the more I wear them. Not a fan of the color scheme.

My feet are flat with painful bunions. For the past 10 years or so Brooks Ariel are the only shoes I can walk my dog with and stave off intense foot pain. This year's navy blue color isn't my favorite, but I'm so thankful Brooks still makes the Ariel I bought them anyway.

I ordered a total of 3 different styles of shoes. The Brooks Ariel were by far the best fitting. Sadly they were the most expensive, but when I put them on, they are heavenly.

Fantastic shoes! These are my 3rd pair of Ariels, and although they were more expensive, they are the best yet. They are like walking on pillows! I have some foot problems, but these feel sooooo good. I walk about 15 miles per week, and I am so happy to be wearing these shoes.

With hammer toes these shoes are a dream. Comfort and fit outstanding. This is the third pair and if still made will reorder when they start to show wear.

I have been wearing Brooks addiction but felt that I needed more cushioning. My feet have been sore on the bottom lately. I have flat very wide feet and have struggled with foot and ankle problems for years. These have the support of the addictions, but more padding. My only complaint is that they feel a little heavy, this is a lot of shoe! I have yet to find anything lighter weight that has support and padding that I need in a size EE.

Excellent shoe!

I wear this shoe because of the great arch support. I wore Ariel'14 before and now switched to '16. It helps me so much as I have overpronation and I can walk and be on my feet without pain. Some reviews thought these ran a little small but I ordered my regular size and they fit fine. The color is nice, navy with turquoise, but as an elderly woman I would appreciate something a little more subdue like a plain black. It would be nice to have a choice of color. The customer service with Zappos is absolutely the greatest. Thank you.

I have a falling arch (PTTD) in one foot and custom orthotics that I wear in my Ariels (been wearing the '14 style for a year). Tried the Addictions (also great shoes) and Ariels and found that the Ariels were the best support for my arches. The extra padding and support in this shoe helps align my ankles with my knees, etc. I normally wear 8's in a shoe, but the 8.5W (D) is what I need in these. Due to a tailor's bunion on my right foot, I need the extra space in the forefoot. However, the backs of these shoes are not too wide in the D width for my "regular-sized" heel. The backs also have harder material on the exterior than my older pair, adding additional support. I LOVE these shoes - they feel like supportive, cushiony, comfy slippers. I gladly pay the price as I believe wearing the '14's this past year helped eradicate the tendon issues in my arch.

I loved Brooks Ariel shoes in the past, but they changed the style and fit and I had to return it. BUT this Ariel 16 is wonderful. I read the reviews and ordered the shoe 1/2 size larger and it fits very well. Excellent padding and support plus they look great. I hope Brooks keeps this style and does not alter it because it is an excellent running shoe.

Loving the new color! The only sneakers I wear!

These shoes are amazing!!! They feel great and even help me walk better. I am not a runner but have an over pronation problem (flat feet) and have major back and leg pain. These shoes help me walk better (ease my pain in legs and feet) and also help my posture. I highly recommend them!!! Just like other people commented, the shoe is a bit low so half a size up will help.
