Agree with anonymous 7/21/16...Top of Shoe at heel is higher than Ghost 8 and is hard, hits at Achilles Tendon.

Love these!! The width is perfect and the support is well worth the price.

Love these shoes!! I am a pharmacy technician and I'm on my feet all day long, and these shoes have helped me so much with my heel spurs and tired aching feet. I have ordered 2 pairs, and I will continue to buy more.

I have been wearing Brooks "Ghost" shoes for years. The Ghost 9 are even more comfortable on my foot. I purchased another pair before heading on a weak long hiking trip and used them instead of "hiking" shoes. They were perfect as always!

It has a little more room than the Ghost 8.

I LOVE these shoes! I buy the Brooks Ghost every time they release the new model. They are perfect for running/training. They provide a lot of support. They ended up being more navy and the pink very bright but I like the colors better actually!

Love these. I was WAY over due for a new pair of running shoes and these are very comfortable (and pretty!)

I selected the Brooks Ghost 9 shoe because it had what I needed: neutral shoe (for under-pronation), removable insoles (to accept orthotics), roomy toe box (for high arches and bunions), narrow heel, availability in wide sizes, and high cushioning. I have big toe arthritis with bony bumps on the joints and fat pad atrophy on the balls of my feet. I developed shin splints and other muscle aches from wearing the rocker sole type running shoes recommended by the orthopedic surgeon, so the rheumatologist recommended going back to a regular running shoe style. The Ghost 9 toebox is so roomy that I am able to insert the full-length orthotic without taking out the insole, and I can even add a gel pad for the ball of my foot. It's a little tight where the tongue is sewn into the shoe, but that probably wouldn't be the case for someone who hasn't added all the extra materials. My only other problem is that my too-low inner ankles hit the curve of the shoe and get sore from that. My regular shoe size is a 7.5 with a roomy toe box. I ended up finding the 8.5 Wide to be the right size for me with the Ghost 9. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone with foot problems similar to mine - it's literally the only thing that enables me to walk without pain.

These are my second pair of Brooks running sneakers and I can't see myself wearing any other brand ever again. I've tried them all and have been running for over 30 years. No more lower backaches or foot issues. They are comfy and feel like I'm running on little clouds. Love love love!

I like this shoe but I seem to have a problem with the sizing and the shoe tongue. I have ordered the 10.5 and that felt to small, toes at the end of the shoe and all. Ordered the 11 and now they are huge. Also on the 11 the tongue on the right shoe is thicker or sewn wrong. This make the shoe really uncomfortable. Wide toe box and narrow every where else would have been my favorite except the mangled tongue issue. Will send back and order a new one in same size.

These are really comfortable shoes. I am a casual runner, but try to buy good shoes and have worn mizuno previously. These seem to have more room in the toe box and great cushion.

I am a runner, but I bought these shoes about six months ago to wear around the office. My feet feel immediate relief when I wear them. I didn't intend to wear them for running errands or walking the dogs, but I started doing it anyway because they're so comfy. These are not as breathable as some running shoes and I find my feet get hot after a couple hours even when I'm just in the office, but that makes them nice for riding my bike in cool weather. Overall, I liked them enough to buy another pair for when this pair wears out.

These shoes offer great support for my teen daughter whom is prone to twisting her ankle. She loved the colors too.

Great shoe, especially if like me, you have had a traumatic injury to your ankle. There is a lot of "bounce back" which is fantastic. I ordered the wide but there is a lot of room in the toebox even if I hadn't - all-in-all a great shoe! (I did have to order a half-size up)

I love these shoes. I'm able to wear them all day with no discomfort. My only complaint is cosmetic - I wish the black would wrap all the way around the bottom on the shoe instead of having white on the outside.

a little disappointed in this shoe, I had to order a 1/2 size up, runs very short in toe box. I wear a wide in street shoes but this shoe was wide enough in a B width. I had to order inserts because the shoe did not provide enough arch support. I don't understand why Brooks feels the need to change a shoe that was perfect(Ghost 7

My previous Brooks shoes were the Ghost 7 model which I loved. I was pleased to find the Ghost 9 to be just as comfortable. I ordered the Black/Sparkling Grape in an 8N (my usual size). They fit perfectly and the color combination is attractive.

LOVE these! I am training for a 39 mile breast cancer walk and these are perfect. Also bought matching socks! Injinji Run Lightweight No Show 3-Pack. No more blisters between the toes and super comfort!

I love the Brooks Ghost! I just returned from a trip overseas where I did a lot of walking on cobbled streets and these shoes kept my feet comfortable. They have a springy feel and lots of support. I don't run but I regularly walk six plus miles a day and work in a retail store where I can wear these. These shoes have saved my feet. I do size up a half size in Brooks.

i was glad to read another wearer mention she had to order a half size up when purchasing this shoe. i had been wearing the 8 for over a year and wondered if it was just me, or if it truly did run short. yep--it runs short! the 11.5 fits great. no more jammed big toes.

I have problem feet and usually wear Asics Kayano for the extra support. However, the last pair came up too high on my ankle bone and caused discomfort after all-day wear; so I'm trying these. So far, they are meeting my needs.

Fun, fabulous shoe for running, walking, and playing platform tennis. I bought this shoe to replace your worn out Asics. I like the extra cushioning although I have had better cushioning in some Asics. Toe box is quite wide so if your foot is narrow this may not be the shoe doe you. Overall, comfortable right out of the box & very stable for running.

I wear these shoes for running only (~25 miles/week), and can't comment on how they hold up for long work days, etc. This is my 8th pair of Ghosts and these are by far my favorite in terms of style and a big improvement over the Ghost 8s in terms of comfort. I didn't have any blisters or rubbing in my first months of wear. The toe box appears to be wider in the Ghost 9s and didn't squeeze my toes for the first few runs like my Ghost 8s. As with all running shoes, I order a half size up from my regular shoe size.

Have been wearing Brooks for years -- I have a wide foot and high instep -- and Brooks seem to fit my feet with no break in period. The same can be said for Ghost 9. I'm always a little nervous when I order a new pair and find that they are no longer available and have a "new" version -- luckily I love these as much as Ghost 8.

I had purchased my first pair of Brooks Ghost 8 last year for walking and liked them so much bought the Ghost 9. The Ghost 8s were no longer available. I went a half size larger on the Ghost 9s-I wear a wide width so colors not always what I would like.They are lightweight but have good cushioning and give great arch support. I have somewhat of a high instep and these don't hurt the top of my foot. I used to wear Asics or Saucony but they don't fit as well any more. Not sure if it's my aging feet or if the manufacturer changed the quality. Glad I tried Brooks-always thought they were only for runners.
