Thick enough to be a fall jacket, not very good with wind. Fits well with the smartwool hoodie. Super comfy!

Love this jacket. Fits right and hits all the right places. Not to heavy and not to light. A perfect blend to wear on on those cool mornings and chilly nights. The jacket even looks better in person. Would recommend to any one.

I now own all 3 colors. You can use it to work, hike, or go out. I bought the first one years back, and the last two since you reintroduced the product.

I got this shirt for my fiance and he absolutely loves it. His favorite shirt for when the weather starts to get cold. Works great on its own or layer it up with an extra longsleeve shirt for added warmth. Great at insulating, lightweight, fits awesome. Took a hiking trip to colorado with it in January (brr!) and this functioned as his jacket really well! My fiance is typically a large in most men's shirts and the large fit appropriately.

I have been eyeing a jacket like this for a while now and saw Smartwool had this one. The first order I got a medium and it ended up being too roomy and big. Friends of mine that are normally large or XL could fit the medium. I ended up returning the medium and re-ordering the small. Awesome jacket for wearing around or layering under a rain jacket. If you love Smartwool, you will love it!

Would definitely recommend. Wears well indoors and doesn't overheat you. You can then go outside and it will keep you warm without the bulk

Nice layering piece. Runs true to size. Needs side pockets, but otherwise a great shirt jacket.

Great jacket, warm and the snap buttons work well. Just wish it had lower pockets.

My husband loves this shirt jacket. I bought it for him for Christmas. This makes 3 of them for him now.

I was hoping it would be my "go-to" work shirt for outdoor work in Alaska (cutting firewood, hauling logs, brushing and grooming ski trails, skiing, etc.). It's a great shirt, but it has one, for me, fatal flaw: The chest pockets are WAY too small. I like to cary my iPhone (NOT a Max size) in my chest pocket to keep warm for photos, mapping, and coms. I cannot snap the shirt flap closed, so I cannot use this pocket as is (when bending over doing things the phone has a tendency to slip out of the pocket). Other clothing pockets are far more difficult to access and/or do not keep my phone warm enough especially in winter with many layers on. I am frequently out all day at -20 F or colder. It would be a perfect garment if the pocket size was increased just a bit. . . I solved the problem by adding a short piece of nylon webbing with a mating snap at both ends to "extend" the pocket flap enough to go over and retain my phone. But, it wouldn't have been necessary if the pocket was just a little deeper!

Great style, perfect fit. My new go to for shoulder season wear.

Great quality, fits well in shoulders, slightly long in the body while being slightly short in the sleeves for someone 6'3". Very nice color and works well over a light weight sweater or long sleeve t shirt. I receive lots of compliments on the shirt jacket.

Itchy First time ever that I really dislike smart wool and would not recommend. What happened to super wash merino. Really disappointed.

I got this as a gift for my brother. He adores it!

I have a bunch of high end warm flannels from a variety of brands (e.g Private White, Todd Snyder, Outdoor Research, etc). This might be my overall favorite. It's by far the warmest and most protective, and has that soft, comfortable feel that comes from 75% merino wool. This is my go to whenever it gets very cold. The attractive design helps too. (I went true to size. I'm 6'1 205. )

Beautiful fabric, medium weight. Bought it for my husband who is between a medium and a large and the large felt like the sleeves were too long. If the snaps were adjustable at the cuff he would have kept it. Returned it for the medium and he is happy.

Gift for my dad. He won't take it off!

I'm 6'3" and 235lbs with long arms. The shirt fits perfect in XL. It provides great warmth for the weight and doesn't fit like a tent. Only knock is that it's dry clean only but that's no big deal. I just got it so O can't attest to its durability but it appears to be very high quality as you would expect from Smartwool.

Got this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it! And I love hugging him while he wears it :) for reference he is 6'0", 190 and the large fits perfectly.

So good I have bought 5 of these (on sale when I could... ). 2 for myself and 3 as gifts. Daily use. Warm even rain proof (not downpour). The navy shirtjack looks smart enough as a city jacket (Smartwool - please bring back the Navy!!) My brother and I have both worn the first one out after 3 years of almost daily use.

This is my 2nd. My first was a differ color. My wife said I needed a second. I live in a warm climate that's occasionally blustery and cool dipping down into the low 40 degree F range. It's all the jacket I need. It's warm even in the occasional rain. very practical.

My husband loves this shirt jacket! He was concerned it would feel itchy, but it gets softer the more he wears it. It is true to size and keeps him very warm. The only downside is that it is dry clean only.
