This was a gift. It fit just like the description. Being able to look at the measurements of the models really helped! It was the most loved gift I've ever given, I think. I found this locally at eastern Mountain sports. I wouldn't ever pay this much for a shirt. It was on clearance. It caught my eye but was size medium I usually wear large. I liked the color and heavyweight feel. I took a long shot and tried it it fits perfectly not tight Plenty of room it's more like a very big medium size. Fits perfectly the snaps are great too especially in nh with constitutional carry hides everything nicely. This the warmest most rugged shirt I own and I wear it almost every day. Use a 250 weight wool long sleeve under neath and this combination will keep you toasty. Not tight not constricted good range of motion. I will use a vest on tip at times its a great layering piece. Not to be machine washed or dried so be careful. I want another but I'll wait for a sale. I never pay full price.

An extra layer in the not too cold temps seems very durable

Great quality, fits well in shoulders, slightly long in the body while being slightly short in the sleeves for someone 6'3". Very nice color and works well over a light weight sweater or long sleeve t shirt. I receive lots of compliments on the shirt jacket.

I bought size XL for my husband. He's usually an XLT. The fit is big enough for him to layer underneath and the sleeves are long enough, which is generally the issue for fitting him.

Excellent shirt jacket. Office wear. Date wear. Classed up casual wear. Collecting as many as I can. It's one of my favorite things to wear. Warm and durable. Breathable and comfortable. Always happy to see multiple color options in a season, I really like the solid colors the best. Hope this one stays in the lineup for a long time. I will have them all! The old herringbone pattern deserves a reissue as well as the gray/black square plaid!

It's warm as all get out. Functions with just a t-shirt or with a flannel. If you're wearing a baselayer, you just need one more layer to cut out the wind in deep winter. I already got a compliment on it from a complete stranger in public. I'm a stand-offish 44 year old dude.

Manages to be both warm and windproof without any type of liner. Runs a little bit for me, making it more suitable as a top layer than a very thick mid layer as I'd intended, and it's way too itchy to ever be worn as a shirt but as a jacket, can't be beat. #sweepstakes

I absolutely love this shirt/jacket. I have been wearing it all day every day for 2 years and it still looks great. I got scared that Smartwool would stop making it, so I bought another two, and plan to wear them for a long long time.

Absolutely love this. Warm, stylish, functional. I've worn it every day since. Fit is perfect for me (Med) 5-9, 160 lbs. Works as a layer over a T-shirt, base layer, collared shirt, or sweater. Office or dog walk. Gorgeous merino. High quality. When I didn't get it for my birthday, I bought it anyway No regrets. I've been wary of some Smartwool products that aren't mostly made from wool, but this one is a home run.

I've had this jacket for three years now and haven't been let down yet. Serves great as a mid layer on a cold and wet PNW day. Minimal pilling, low effort maintence as well. Light weight. Highly recommend.

Excellent quality

Great over any shirt, this jackey is the piece you use to go out and look great and stay warm in. I use it from the house to the truck, (Honda Ridgeline, YES), and to the stores and back. On cool nights an added layer while watching the tube with the heat turned down and the fire going.

Warm, thick, heavy in a good way, everything you want in a good wool shirt/jacket. I'm 6'4'', slim, long arms and wear a large or a medium tall in most apparel. The large fit perfectly, even though I'm slim it fits nice in the body, long enough for my arms with a slight bend in the elbow and a little fabric leftover, body is long enough (could maaaaybe be an inch longer but not noticeable, it covers the tops of my pants pockets). Measure yourself carefully and follow the guide and you should be spot on (use a shoe string or some painters tape if you only have a stiff tape measure) The only downside I've noticed is the fabric is a bit scratchy against my arms so i've taken to wearing with long sleeves (this could be a byproduct of being fairly new and may be solved with regular wear, I dont feel the scratch from the collar on my neck though only sleeves) and the dry clean only (though I havent had to wash it yet) will update after a month or two.

Best flannel ever. I wear it daily. Wish Smartwool would make more shirts like this.

I bought this jacket for my Dad and he absolutely loved it. Kept him warm, but also kept him cool while doing yard work.
