How much do I love these sandals? I’ve just purchased a second pair about 3-4 years after my first pair. These are so comfortable! I’ve walked many countries in this shoes, as they come with me on every vacation. The one issue I had is that the insole wore out on my first pair and I had to bring them to a shoemaker to have another insole put in. Hopefully the new pair wears better, but if not, I know how to resolve the issue. I have found that the straps have stretched a little over the years, so sometimes the ankle support is lax, but hey - I liked them enough to buy an identical replacement pair, so that speaks volumes. As a bonus - these shoes are vegan, so they’re cruelty-free!

These hug your foot because of the stretch so look narrower and more flattering. Memory foam sole si amazing. have worn for long periods yet, but was looking to take these on vacation where I am doing alot of walking. Don't weigh anything. Kind of 1940's looking.

Finally I found a shoe with a bit of heel for dress. I have problem feet - bunions, thanks Grandma Alice, hammer toe, don't know which relative left those in the will for me and a Big foot. Oh yea, a wide foot so most shoes look like clown shoes. But this shoe worked miracles. It has a nice heel which is platform so I am not teetering about, stretch straps that keep my foot snug, didn't let my bunions bulge much and were comfortable. Someone said they look very 1940ish which was good descriptor - cool but not old lady looking. The reason I chose these over the other bernie mev heels I tried on was that the strap on top formed an X so that it elongated your foot to look more narrow. Hope that makes sense Finally my foot didn't look like it was a tug boat - more like a slim canoe ;). I now own 5 pairs of Bernie mev because I am afraid they will stop making the pairs I love. I bought the Pewter which is exactly like pewter color but not in a shiny blingy way. My size was 41 which is what I wear.

I was told this shoe would be great for my metatarsal issue. Sadly, the bed of this shoe was too hard after a half hour of wearing them around my house. However, the web straps were very snug and supported my foot in place when I walked, that aspect of the shoe was awesome as well as the wedge and height. I was hoping it would work for me but need to return.

Very comfortable! Perfect fit. Can walk in them all day. They look great with a dress, jeans or anything else.

I always thought Bernie Mev shoes were a little odd looking, but I changed my mind when I saw this style. I was looking for a pair of gray sandals that wouldn't hurt my feet (plantar fasciitis and misc toe issues), and my doctor had recommended something with a less flexible sole. The color of these (Pewter) is perfect - a darker gray, slightly metallic without being flashy. I usually wear a 7-1/2 and the size 38 is perfect. They're very comfortable - memory foam insole, and the stretchy knit design hugs my feet without being too tight (I have a narrower foot). Looking at the fabric/knit, I thought they might be scratchy but they are NOT. The platform sole is thick, but gives more style than flat shoes (while still being relatively flat). And I love that I can slip them on without a buckle! I've had lots of compliments in the 2 weeks that I've worn them, and will be considering more of these in the future!

I have a friend that really loves her bernie mevs so thought I should try them once. They are very true to size. I usually take an 8.5 - 9 and got the 39. They have that nice little wedge that gives me some height without actual "heels". Since they are sling backs they make a little bit of noise when I walk but they are very comfortable. I also have very narrow feet so hoping over the long run they are good for me. Give them a try. I live in Minnesota where it is below zero right now but have them ready to pack when we go to FL for several months this winter.

Love these heels! I have not been able to wear heels for years due to a back injury. SO sad. But my back feels just fine in these, and so do I! Have 3 pairs! Love the open toe and back so that I can get my true size with out any toe discomfort (in the close toe Bernie Mev - or any European shoe for that matter, I have to size up, not these) Give them a try! More colors Bernie!

Trusting the previous reviews, I ordered... and am glad I did. I've not owned a pair of Bernie Mevs and find them extremely comfortable. It's like walking on air. I needed something that I could wear immediately for a trip and these are soft, lightweight, and perfect!

As my shoes wear out, replacing them with Bernie Mevs. Comfortable AND cute. This is my 3rd pair and they never disappoint. I typically wear a 7 and the 37 fits great.

These shoes are comfort right out of the box. Wow. I have a heel spur and I don't even feel it walking in these shoes only. Cute look. Nice heel height. My first pair of Bernie Mev and will buy more. These shoes fit well and are very comfortable on my troubled feet. The memory foam footbed is a winner.

These shoes are very comfortable. I have bad feet and I can wear these all day. I stretched out the toe area with a shoe tree thing to make the toe area a little wider.

Love this shoe. Had to return first pair because they were too small. Customer service was fabulous with helping me with the return.

Comfy, lightweight, and cute on! They do stretch out a tad, so if you're in between sizes, I'd suggest going down, not up.

Great shoes - great service..took a while first time to get the right size but Zappos really helped..now love the shoes.

I usually wear a 39 or 8 to 8.5, either medium or wide width. These sandals fit well. This is the second pair I have ordered. I wore the first for several years, and have not found an better sandal to beat the style and comfort. The memory foam foot beds are very kind to my troubled older feet. They are extremely light, and the woven elastic allows your feet to breathe in hot weather, while adapting to issues such as hammer toes. After 3 years the elastic has loosened somewhat, but the original pair is still quite wearable. I got a second pair while they are still available.

These shoes are extremely comfortable and look good on.

A stylish, comfortable shoe. As another review said, the peep toe makes one feel feminine. My fourth pair of bernie mev shoes. Always get compliments but, more importantly, never have painful feet when wearing. The elastic bands may take a bit of getting used to.

Very cute shoes, easy to wear, stable yet stylish. Perfect with casual dressing. The stretch in the straps makes the fit very forgiving. Recommended!

I am going to exchange mine for one size smaller because I heard the elastic could stretch a bit with time but they are so comfortable. Love them.

A lovely shoe. Really, really wanted this to work for me. Would have been comfortable if the straps hadn't been so dang tight. I mean really, really tight. So very disappointed.

This size 37 in this design was a tad bit long- from the end of the toes to the tip of the end of the shoe. I would rather them be a bit shorter- but- I don't really get real particular about such nuances. Overall I love the shoes and they have held up for me well. During the summer- I wear them all the time. and I would order them again......
