I love the fit of this. Material is nice next to skin too. I would recommend this to anyone who is active and looking for a really good base layer.

I'm very impressed by the fact that this base layer dries so quick! I have used this in summer and winter; it kept me dry whatever I was doing with it. It is a bit thick for summer, but it is quite nice for a chilly day hike.

I own six of these phasic tops - 2 of each of the SV / AR / SL varieties.
They are incredible.
I have noticed too that the updated fabric is softer, but also more durable.
The old models would pill up and show signs of wear quite quickly. Whilst this didn't effect see to effect the performance in any way, it made them appear older than they were.
This AR variant is particularly versatile, as it's denomination would suggest. I can run in this top in temperatures ranging from 15 - 0 degrees celsius, and I am always comfortable.
Primarily used for hiking, they really excel on the hill. Fantastically comfortable, great, close fit and they wick better than anything else. By miles. I run very hot, and yet after thrashing up a hill for hours, a ten or twenty minute drinks break and I am none dry. It's borderline miraculous.
I would not use anything else.

I purchased this piece for Summer rock climbing in place of Merino wool type products. Merino does not hold up due to abrasions with the rock and the wind cuts right threw it. During summer outings, this layer is often my outer layer. The Phase AR Zip holds up great after a full summer of crack climbing, chimney work and well textured limestone. Synthetic for the Summer, Merino for the Winter. The smell control is fine...for me.

Love this base layer, very comfortable and a great wicking layer. Only problem I have found is that it does get quite smelly, which isn't too bad, just try and wash it after a day or two of skiing. Merino Wool doesn't start smelling bad, but it isn't nearly as soft and comfortable as this layer.
I highly recommend the Phase AR.

It does exactly what the description says, not much I can add up, except that it looks great ! I'm 6.1 and weight 175 and the medium fits perfect.

Having used the Phase AR Zip now for over a year as my primary base layer all I can really say is Phase Power! Excellent moisture transfer and quick drying times the Phase never feels 'damp' nor does it retain much 'stink' even when worn for several days. I've used the all-around for cool weather rock climbing, bouldering, cool weather trail running and fell walking..... great fit with good stretch it never lets me down. A very competitive price makes the Phase series a must and an easy choice for performance oriented base layers. IMO simply the best.... The bird never lets you down!!!

I often get compliments on how I look with this piece on. But more than looks, it also performs extremely well. It wicks straight away from the skin and is excellent in all but the coldest temperatures. Lightweight and packable, it compresses down in luggage and unwrinkles in record time. While the Phase SV is the best option for the truly cold, this is more versatile in the end. Recommended.

Genialer Stoff. Wrmt, jedoch nicht unangenehm beim schwitzen.
Die rmel sind am Ende jedoch zu eng. Beim Zurckziehen der rmel reisst der Saum schnell auf.

I really love wearing this shirt for long run in weather under 20s as a baselayer. With that said, they are worst stink trap. I've had many base layer and shirts made by Arc, but this is the worst material when it comes to odor. Oddly, this shirt actually generate odor for some strange reason I run a lot, and sweat a lot, but none of my shirt have this issue, and I could even pull off a few days with one shirt if I want to, but not this one. Immediately after I come home it hits the laundry basket. It's such a shame since this is great shirt blocking cold and wick so well in cold weather. I hope "revised" version has new material that fights odor, not generate odor.

I have used this now during all four seasons and it has performed well in each. It is a really sharp looking piece and it breathes really well. I was surprised that after a brief rain shower in cool weather, when I took it off to dry out for the next day, it was basically dry witihin 20 minutes, so I put it back on for the night!
The only thing I'm not stoked on is that the inside fabric on the neck is starting to pill/show some wear where it rubs against your shaved face/neck after about 15 uses and only a few washes. Other than that, this thing is super comfortable and I don't find that it holds smells much at all.

I wear this top climbing, mountaineering, cycling - anything where I may break a sweat.
The fit is perfect. It feels like its shaped to your body and unlike other base layers it doesn't seem like its designed for bodybuilders or Ethiopian marathon runners, its a fit for normal athletic people. The fabric is comfortable on the skin and I have had no experience of it rubbing. It looks good too.
The Phase fabric does its job and wicks moisture away from my body. Often after activity I notice that I feel completely dry. Its also really useful to have a zip to just dump a load of heat when you need to.
Cons? Right out the box it had quite a noticeable synthetic smell which went fairly quickly. I don't know about the silver ions because I find after a light sweat it tends to make me smell much worse than if I wore a regular T-shirt. If I don't wash it immediately it even starts to make my bedroom smell a bit. This is the only bad thing about this top however.
Overall: Great top, I would buy it again for sure. I just wish it didn't smell so much!

I don't know why hydrophobic material has removed ?
Is this retrogression ?
