I purchase these sneakers for the stability control plus they come on 4E. they are very comfortable for a hearty lighter weight sneaker.

The fit for this shoe seems to true with regard to size, width and support. I have had NB 993s for some time and expected this shoe to be basically the same. Was not disappointed. Tried to find a similar colored NB shoe and there are some in the 500 series. These less expensive ones look great, but just not the fit of this much more expensive 990.

Was very happy with my purchase of these shoes. I wasn't aware that you should go up a half size on running shoes. That explains why all my other running shoes have all felt like my big toe was buried after wearing them. Thanks for the tip Zappos. I will be back to make more puchases...

Perfect fit first time on. No break in period. Very comfortable - I don’t want to take them off. Nice looking pair of walking shoes, good for all day casual wear. Only one gripe: I see the make 21 colors, so why does Zappos only have ONE in my size?? Not A+ work, Zappos !

I have a very wide foot. I had a predecessor version of this shoe at 10 1/2 4E. It was ok but pinched my toes a bit. A year ago I ordered this version at 11 1/2 4E. I wore out the soles of the year-old pair and just received my replacement version. Very comfortable. I have a big dog and walk more than 5 miles a day.

Just needed the 10 1/2 , which Zappos sent. Just need to return the size 11’s. Thanks

After a relatively short time with my new shoes, I am very satisfied with the New Balance 990v4. I am difficult to fit, especially in athletic shoes, with a size 11 and 2A (very narrow) width. I have worn Brooks shoes for several years but their "narrow" width is a B and after a few months they begin to feel sloppy. My foot moves from side to side proving conclusively that I really need the very narrow width! I'm not a runner but wear athletic type shoes every day, whether for walking about or just doing daily things. The New Balance 990v4 fits great. If it wears as well as it fits, my new pair and I are in for a long relationship. While they are a bit on the expensive side, the saying that you get what you pay for certainly applies.

Dopest sneaker you can get right now. Quality/craftsmanship are next level.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I wear them with Red Wing inserts and I feel like I am walking on air. I have had plantar fascitis and so I am really glad that these feel so good.

I’ve worn 990s for years. I wouldn’t keep coming back if they weren’t the best available for me. I wear a AA in quality dress shoes. The B fits me perfectly in this shoe. I buy two pair at a time and they go in the closet until needed. I checked these two pair fo size and stored them.

I have worn this particular New Balance shoe for several years now, and I am very happy with them. They seem like old friends the minute I put them on. And Zappos always has them in the size and width I need. I also got them the very next day after I ordered them, phenomenally fast delivery.

This model of the 990 (v4) fits narrower than the v3. I used to wear a 2A (extra narrow) but in this newer model I wear a B (narrow).

My third pair and this one is as good or better than the others. Though a little more money than some other models, these are well worth it in comfort and wearability and good looks.

Great shoes - and American made!

If you are the runner or walker in need of a stable shoe this will fit the bill. Performs as good as it looks. I have the typical lower body (knees) issues as many 58 year old runners. Better than average amount of forefoot flex to keep your gait unrestricted. Works on my TRUEFORMRUNNER treadmill and on the streets equally well.

These are the best running shoes ever? I always have two pair on hand.
