Love this coat! Stylish and oh so comfortable. My kids have these jackets and absolutely loved them so I ordered 1 for myself and 1 for my husband. I will definitely order again but different colors!
I'd also recommend:

LOVE this jacket for cold weather running, form fitting while having some stretch to it. It also does not look too "athletic" which is a plus in my book. It is also stretchy so fitting another layer underneath is a breeze. The only downsite is that it is a tad bit tight over the shoulders so I had to size up.

I like it! It's a nice and warm softshell jacket. Although I haven't yet used it in the rain, I expect that the material would be quite water resistant. Because of the material, though, the jacket itself is pretty stiff. The color is really nice, although I think I'd call it more of a Wine color than a Garnet Red. It's nice for wearing alone, or layering. I have worn thinner hoodies and shirts under this, and it still fits perfectly fine. It also doesn't add a lot of bulk to you, so I can still easily layer other things on top of this jacket. For reference, I got a SM, and I am 5'1" at around 118 pounds, and it fits well. I will add, though, that I'm short, and when I raise my arms, the jacket goes above my hips, so it could be a little short for someone taller!

I recently just bought this same jacket for myself, however, my girlfriend kept using it so I went ahead and ordered her one. Now I have mine back!

This jacket is so nice to have on road trips because you never know when you might need something that is a little bit warmer. North Face never fails on the design and this is especially water and wind proof.

It's not ultra-light the way most soft shell jackets are- but it's one of the reason why I love it so much. The inside is soft, outer material feels very sturdy and windproof. Not something I'd run with since it's a little stiffer than a regular jacket. Definitely worth the purchase, though I'd recommend getting an older version. I wouldn't pay more than 120 for this jacket. It's thin, yet warm, and well performing.

I absolutely love this jacket. My husband gave it to me for Christmas a couple years ago and I wear it all the time. It does run a little small so you may want to size up. Will be buying several more colors.

This was a gift for my adult daughter who wanted a stylish jacket to keep in her car should the weather require it. She lives in Texas where the weather changes very quickly. We both thought that this jacket was a good choice.

Fits my body perfectly. It comes in a little at the waist and doesn't make me look blocky. It is perfect for chilly days and a little bit of rain, and for colder days to wear underneath a bigger coat if necessary. Perfect all-around jacket. Probably going to buy more in different colors. Worth every penny.

I am on my second. I wore the first one so much it was a disgrace after ten years of hard labor. This jacket is cozy as a fleece but also sleek. It looks so great I went for high visibility Pink this time. Not suitable for downpour pr freezing temperatures but perfect for drizzle and fabulous on bright cool sunny days. So breathable i can run in it and warm enough for a windy walk. How many products last ten years? Better yet, such a classic that it was still produced when I needed a replacement. This is one of the staples of my outdoor wardrobe.

This is my second Apex Bionic jacket. Love! Love! Love! This jacket is what I would call "active" fit. It is tight to body but snug enough for mobility. I'm 5 '8 and 135 lbs and purchased a medium (previously had a large which was too loose). I have fairly long arms so the sleeve length is perfect. The quality of the outer layer is durable (can wash off stains without any issue), the inner layer is fleece which is nice and warm. I wear the jacket mostly in Early Fall and Spring. It's a great jacket for casual and day hiking as there are several pockets with zippers and inner pockets.

I love this jacket and wear it whenever applicable. Although not marketed as a waterproof jacket, it is water resistant, which I love. The lining is warm and comfortable, wish I had purchased sooner!!

I love this jacket although I should have purchased it during the cold season. It's too heavy for spring. Can't wait for fall!

The apex bionic has always been my favorite style by the northface. Casual enough to wear with jeans yet dressy enough to wear with dress pants for a more business type of look. My only complaint with this jacket is that when you sit down it really bunches up. I was going to go with an extra small size because I'm always nervous about the way jackets fit on me without trying them on. I decided instead to go with a small and I'm glad I did. The sleeve length is perfect and although it does bunch it's a comfortable feel. For reference I am 5'4 and 107lbs. Also, like many of the other reviewers have written the collar does not like to stay rolled down, this doesn't bother me but for some it may.

Love the jacket look but the length is long for a Pettite person.
