The scandal felt very comfortable. Unfortunately the top strap is not adjustable so made the sandal fit too loose. Felt more wide than standard. Loved the look but had to return due to loose fit.

I've gotten a lot of wear out of these sandals, used them on vacation where I walked several miles every day and had no problems whatsoever. Keepers, and actually cute! These don't have much support, and are a bit wide for me, however the elastic band helps with that, and the cushioning is good.

Super cute shoes that are so comfortable if your foot stayed in the sole of the shoe. The upper strap across is elastic, which is nice, but too loose. My foot slid around (I have a medium width foot and I do not usually have excessive wear on any particular area of my shoes) which I could have worked around. The bothersome part is the border around the sole which is firm. My heel would migrate so that it was about 1/4" on it and I didn't like the way that felt. It seemed like I would always be readjusting my foot in the shoe to stay off that part. Otherwise, good craftsmanship and comfortable. It could have just been my foot/gait.

Overall I really like these. I have some mild planter fasciitis and need a lot of support in my shoes. I found these to have a comfortable footbed and the straps don't cut into my foot anywhere. I got the tan color with a lighter woven strap near the ankle, and find that the lighter strap has started showing some dirt after a few weeks of wear. May be able to clean it, but it's not that noticeable yet. Also there is a sound when I step that is made by the comfy footbed compressing down, but it's not very loud and I gladly deal with this to have such a wonderfully comfortable shoe. I wore it a full day straight out of the box and was comfortable.

I really like the look of these sandals and initially really liked them. Now that I've had them a while I find myself not wearing them and reaching for others. Why? The elastic is overly snug and after a few hours of wear start to bother me. Also they make an "air release" noise when you walk from the cushion compressing. Kind of disappointing and too late to send back.

Comfy sandals! I bought these for an upcoming trip where I will be doing a lot of walking. I think they'll hold up for short distances but don't see myself walking several miles in them at a time. I wish they came in half sizes. The 9's are a little big but still comfortable. I have worn these for several days and they have not caused any blisters or anything. They were comfortable right out of the box. No need to break them in. The bottom is squishy and comfortable but does make a noise like other reviews have said. The noise doesn't bother me but it might if I was wearing them in a quiet environment. Overall I would recommend these sandals.

I loved these sandals, but the difference in fit between my right foot and left foot was too much to overcome. The right shoe was uncomfortably tight, while the left was loose enough to be annoying. I'm not sure if it's me or the shoes, but I couldn't keep them.

I have tried on a bunch of flat-ish Born sandals this year and most are quite comfortable and walkable. These fit, and are well padded, but the padding feels funny, like air bubbles or something. Just doesn't feel that good to me. Sizing is good (bought a 9, usually wear a 9.5 in shoes), may be a bit wider than some other models, and straps are fairly soft leather.

Very beautiful and comfortable sandal, much prettier than the thick sole ones and still a bit cushioned. One star less for the somewhat odd shape of the sole in the toe area. Whose feet have a so much longer big toe? It should be a bit rounder at that end but still looking good. Not for very narrow feet, I guess.

Cute sandal, but I agree with the other reviewer. I wear size 8 and have other size 8 Born sandals, but this one is too short. I will try a 9, but I wish these came in half sizes.

Overall very nice sandal, but the 4 stars for me is because they don't come in 1/2 sizes. I am an 8 and have plenty of Born shoes, but this sandal for some reason is 1/2 size too short for my foot. The 9 will be too big.

I wear a 7.5-8 US or 38 European. The size 8 in this sandal was the perfect length and in general, quite comfortable; but the straps were too loose, especially the middle and back ones. I have a slightly wide foot in front because of a bunion but pretty narrow at the back. Unfortunately, I will have to return these.

I was shopping for a comfortable leather sandal to wear to Europe this summer. This was one of my brown options, and it didn't make the cut. It was comfortable enough, with lots of padding in the sole, but the strap over the toe was pretty stiff and dug in a bit (might stretch or soften over time). The fabric strap was just not so cute, and the weird yellowish bottom sole was not my favorite. Also, I prefer a bit darker brown (this was almost a tan color). Otherwise, a pretty nice sandal that fit well (I'm a size 11), just not to my taste, I guess.

Love the shoes. They feel slightly smaller on my feet but they still work for me. Overall happy with purchase.

I really liked this sandal and was hoping it would work. I wish that Born would make half sizes and wider widths. They are going back! Love that Zappos customer service and return policy !!

These looked cuter online but not so much in person! The nude strap by the ankle was more of a grayish tan and didn’t go well with the brown leather. I have planters fasciitis and love my other pair of born sandals but these had no support and as I walked around the house I immediately started feeling pins and needles in my heel... back these go!

I really liked this shoe. Nothing to complain about except that the elastic band on the right shoe was longer by 1/4". It is just enough for it to be loose and the space it creates shows. I'm just OCD enough that that bothers me as the shoes feel different. I'm not sure whether I should just exchange for a different pair or return them altogether. hmmmm.... I'm not sure whether I need them that bad to be shipping back and forth

These are super cute shoes. But somehow even though my toes were at the end of the shoe, the heal strap is too lose for me--even floppy. And, the shoes make sooo much noise, even when I am walking on carpet. My foot makes a "smacking" sound against the foot bed, and the shoe creaks with each step. I was sad to have to return the shoes.

Loved this shoe but it's a little wide for my narrow foot. Wish it would have worked, but unfortunately had to return :(

I ordered these because I like Born and I liked the color. Unfortunately, after sitting with them on for a few minutes I wanted to take them off because the elastic was too tight. In all fairness, maybe the elastic would stretch out after a while, but the tightness was annoying. I do have a fairly high arch which may have contributed to the problem. I returned them.

These shoes are not true to size. They run short and wide. I wear a size 9. the 9 ran short compared to all my other born sandals. The size 10 was the right length but far too wide.

Love the style and versatility of these shoes. And, I've always loved Born. These shoes, however, squeak like I have canaries strapped to my feet. Have to return.

Born and BOC shoes always fit my slightly wide foot. Not these. Returned.

I wanted to keep these but knew that I wouldn't like the foot bed vinyl material as well as the new foot bed that Born has decided to replace their tried and true foot bed support.

I love, love, love these sandals. However, each time I make a step, there is a noise that sounds like a small bird chirping. I would ignore this if the sound were not so loud that others wonder where the bird is. I wish I could send the shoes and the annoying bird back, but I've been wearing them since morning.
