I opened the plastic packaging for these shoes and was hit with the most vile odor! The packaging still smells horrid, 3 days after receipt. The shoes do not smell too bad, but what chemical is in the plastic? Anyone with "scent issues" beware. Shoes are cute, but too small. I always wear an 8, and ordered an 8, but they run small. I do not plan on reordering another size due to the smell.

Boy were the reviews correct that this shoe ran small. While I thought the shoe may be short in length I did not expect the shoe to be a narrow width across the toe box. Very tight all the way around. It is a shame because I loved the arch support and how the shoe looked. They are going back thanks to Zappos return policy.

The sizing of this shoe is certainly on the small side - size up if you must have them, but keep reading first. The lip at the back is also on the small side. I wish the shoe covered more of the back of the foot... they remind me of the hellish flats I wore during high school that bite painfully into the mid-heel and constantly rub and slide off the foot, no matter how large.These aren't exactly painful, but they do rest in a truly awkward spot on your mid-heel. They're difficult to get on, a process not assisted by a tongue that folds inward as you try to stuff your foot in. The canvas is not soft or malleable as I hoped it would be and like I've found in other (much cheaper) shoes that look similar but cradle and hold the foot much more comfortably than these. These weren't the easy, casual, and comfy sneakers I hoped and expected they would be after reading other reviews.

The shoe is nicely made and has a good arch support, but man did they give me the worst blisters OF MY LIFE on my heels. Wore the with no-show socks walking around Chicago and totally regret it.

I wanted to like these shoes, but I'm disappointed. The sole is designed to look as though it's a thick white sole, but actually that's just decorative trim. The actual sole is quite thin, too flexible, so the top of the shoe digs into your foot when walking. There's lots of padding inside the shoe, but overall too soft and unsupportive. I have Taos sandals that I love, but I'm disappointed in these.

I wanted to like these shoes, but they just didn't feel very comfortable, I was looking for some casual shoes - I have foot problems and generally wear Asics. I couldn't remove the foot liner and my orthotics didn't fit.

These are cute and seem pretty comfortable although pricey for the product. I was hoping for a comfortable slip-on travel shoe but these laces do need to be tied so not exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately I will be returning them.

Wow! These really do run small. Notice that remark when ordering and ordered a half size larger, but they feel a full size smaller. They are really cute, looks good on the foot with good arch support and light weight. Going back. :-(

This shoe was advertised as having a lot of padding in the heel area which i need because of achilles tendinitis. It does NOT have a lot of padding in the heel, in fact very little. I returned the shoes because they were not comfortable at all even though i ordered a full size larger than i normally would take.

I love these sneakers but I kept another pair and within 2 wears they stink!!! And my feet normally don't stink. I've seen this complaint online as well. Taos says not to wash these in the machine but I had to.. I had to pull out the foot bed take out the laces and wash it all with oxi as well in the wash. They stunk up my whole closet and it took me a while to find the problem.. but once I did.. that was the whole problem..taos sneakers! I hear you can freeze them in between wears but I don't want shoes in my freezer. UGH! Why is this a problem with Taos sneakers? They are so comfortable!!

I don't know how Taos can call this shoe a wide. It runs extremely narrow. AND short. I went up half a size and it was still too short. Too bad, because these are very cute shoes.

Cute shoe but, I ordered an 81/2 which is my size. It fit like an 8.

Not the best. Flattened toe box and insanely high footbed make this not a good fit for high instep feet. Plus comically short shoelaces.

I have many pairs of Taos and love them. They are comfortable and cute. These shoes came and were completely discolored, yellow, like they had been sitting in the sun for months. And these were an exchange since the first pair had an incorrect insole. Seems like there should be some sort of quality control before shoes are sent out. I did return them and am waiting for my refund but am very disappointed. Afraid to try and order again.

Love the look of these shoes and thought I had finally found a cute paid of casual low profile snears that were comfortable (at least when I first tried them on). I wore them one day and my heels were torn up very badly. I had blisters bigger than I have ever had before, almost the size of a quarter, on the heel of both feet and I could never wear them again. It's a shame I can't return them.

It was over 2 inches shorter than my other sneakers in the same size in length, so narrow and just all around horrible.

Very cute sneaker but really really really small! So small that I wondered if it might be mis-marked. Sadly have to return.

Such a weird sole inside. It is all laces and the sides are low. Not for high arches

The absolute WORST fitting shoe I have ever tried. The arch inside the shoe is HUGE! I can't see how this would fit anyone. If you remove it... the shoe is too big and just doesn't work. TERRIBLE! WAYYYY too much arch support

Was surprised on how tight these shoes were and uncomfortable material that did not feel good around foot. Also squeaks badly when I walk to my tile floor. Will sadly need to return.

The shoes are adorable, but the size 9 felt like a size 7. I cannot vouch for the arch support or comfort because I could not even get them on! I regularly wear a 9M in every shoe I've ordered, so I don't think that it's weirdness about me.
