These are the cutest shoes! Take Zappos' advice and order 1 size up. I wear a 10.5 and I ordered and an 11 and a 12, and the 11 was too short and 12 was too long. So, if there was an 11.5. I would have ordered them because they would have been "true to size!" I just have hard-to-fit feet, because I also have a narrow foot. I have several open-toed Taos shoes which allow me to fix the straps to fit the narrow width and the length to accommodate these boats of mine! So it's not the shoes, it's just the odd size of MY feet.

I really liked these shoes but because of my high arches they were just not as comfortable as I would like. The last lace and tongue of the shoe sit really high on my foot and and made the top of my foot hurt and rub too much.

The fit and size are great. I ordered up 1/2 size larger than usual on the advise of your other reviews. The color and style are just as I hoped they would be. I am very happy with the shoes.

Zappos recommended 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and that was correct. Great comfort with a sporty look.

I just started wearing orthotics and have to forever. I got these b/c the are one of the few cute, basic, casual sneakers that come in wide widths AND have a removeable insole. And I was SO happy to find these! I was afraid I was going to be relegated only to running shoes for the long haul, but these shoes have given this orthotic wearer a little bit of hope. Ironically, I was probably taking out the most comfortable part of the shoe by needing to use my orthotics. I've never seen so much insole in a basic casual shoe! I wish I could wear them w/ their own insoles b/c they were super comfy, but not in the cards for me b/c of foot fun/orthotics. I stacked my orthotic on top of a flat pillow insole (Dr. Scholl's "double-pillo") to mimic the thickness of the shoe's insole, and viola! Excited to be back in the land of cute shoes again. B/c of my orthotics, I tend to buy all shoes big. In normal flats, I used wear 6-6.5 (not wide). For running shoes I've always gone bigger to a 7.5 (normal width). With orthotics, all my shoes are now 7.5W, including my pair of Taos Star.

I take between an 8.5 and 9. The 9 fit perfect. It looks like a nice quality shoe and comfortable. Once they break in I think they will be even more comfortable.

First of all, Taos shoes (and boots) are by far my favorite brand when dealing with the multiple foot issues I have. The Star sneaker, is cute, stylish and comfortable, although ORDER 1/2 SIZE UP, as the insole takes up space in the shoe. I normally wear an 8.5, however when purchasing the different styles of Taos sneakers, I always order a 9 and get a perfect fit. These shoes are ready to be worn, without having to break them in. If you have any type of issues with your feet, YES, purchase these......you won't be disappointed. NOW, with that being said, I am disappointed in the fact that I received a pair of shoes that were apparently returned by another customer. I know this because the shoes are usually packaged so nicely, with the insoles being "stuffed" and the shoes are "wrapped" in the Taos lining. These shoes were haphazardly thrown in the box, laying on top of the Taos lining, and the "stuffed" insoles were out of one of the shoes. I carefully looked over the shoes, which appeared not to have been defective or shown any type of wear. I just feel when you're paying full price for a pair of shoes, the quality control on returned items should be addressed to ensure if they are resold to another customer, that customer can't tell they were already worn.

I am really liking this purchase. I wear a 10.5, which can be hard to find. Also, I love the look of a classic Chuck Taylor, but this shoe has excellent arch support in comparison. I am glad that I made this purchase and I will probably by another pair in a different color.

These run have a size small. They are super cute and extremely comfortable. Amazing arch support! Too bad they stain so easily. If I buy again, I will use a stain spray… Maybe I could make them waterproof or stain proof that way. Not machine washable.

Love these shoes! I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal based on other reviews and I’m so glad I did. They are so comfortable! They have a better arch support than other shoes and really fit my foot well..and they’re cute too!! I may have to order more in different colors. Taos footwear is the best...

This is my third pair in one year. They are perfect for wearing around the house, since they're not hard on the carpet. Very happy with the width (W) and the support. They are a little long for my 8 1/2 foot, but my arch is a size 9. Love the black plaid.

Super cute. I like the support in the foot bed. Might not be a shoe I can walk around for hours in. Still pondering. When my foot flexes as I walk the bend on the top of the toe is not the most comfortable, but I think because of the fabric it might be better once it softens up. They are too cute to send back. Will be able to wear with lots of different styles this spring/summer. I got the 9 which is my usual size.

These are great sneakers with substantial, yet flexible canvas uppers, great arch support and comfortable right out of the box. I found they run 1/2 size short. I'm always an 8, needed an 8.5 in these. If you have a wide foot, order the wide width. I have a low profile foot with a wider toe box and the meduim width was great, but if I'd had a thicker foot, they would not have fit. Heel is on the narrow side, which I like, and there is no slipping when I walk. I ordered the tan daisy pattern and people ask where I found my "cute shoes."

I love these shoes! The fit is perfect and the brown plaid is very snazzy!

I am currently recovering from ankle replacement surgery and arch reconstruction. My question to my doctor before the surgery was “could I wear attractive sneakers without pain if I have this surgery. “ He assured me that was the goal and I have found these shoes to be a major breakthrough. Not only do they have the arch support that I need but they are so much cuter than wearing running shoes all the time. In fact, I’m not even fully weight bearing yet and these shoes are working. I sized up a half size and even with residual swelling in my one foot that was enough. I plan to get more shoes like this and I hope Taos makes some summer styles.

Fit is excellent. Comfortable and easy to wear. I wouldn't wear them on particularly long walks -- not enough support. But that's not what these shoes are designed for! I lovve them for their style and everyday comfort.

I ordered these in the denim color. Love Love these shoes!! Was hesitant about toe room, as I do need toe room, but these were just fine. Cute shoes and comfortable to boot!!! I did order a half size up for the extra toe room.

Love this shoe! So comfortable and I can wear them at work for 12 hours and not have sore feet! I even bought 2 pairs in different colors.

I love these casual and comfortable shoes. I want to try some of the leather ones in the future.

This is my second pair of the Star style. It's hard to find cute shoes in a wide width and these certainly fit the bill. I wanted a casual sneaker with good support that didn't look like an athletic shoe and this style is great.

I like white and black combinations. Taos shoes always have a great arc support.

I bought these in the white and they are SO CUTE. And also, very comfortable. Unfortunately, I stepped in something and tried to clean them and made the situation worse. So now they aren't as crisp white but they are still ok and I rock them with cuffed jeans or ankle jeans and a white tee. I tend to wear a 7.5 in some things and an 8 in others, so I went with the majority of reviews that indicated they ran a smidge small -- got the 8, and they fit perfectly. I'm back now to buy a couple other colors. These go great with jeans, shorts, skirts, and springtime dresses! YOU NEED THESE!
