These ran a bit small for me at Size 15. I typically wear New Balance or Brooks Size 15 which tend to fit me more true to size. I liked the width.

I have had three neuroma surgeries and I have metatarsalgia. These shoes have changed my life for the absolute better. I can now walk fast and even hike in the woods. It's been over 4 years since I could do these things. These shoes rock!!! Love the wide toe box and zero drop and thick soles.

Ordered these for my husband after he was so pleased with the first pair of Altra's (Everyday). Again, he was extremely happy with the fit and comfort (especially the wide toe box). As noted by many, ordering 1/2 size larger tends to be necessary with this brand.

Loving these shoes. Very comfortable with thick sole support. These are the only altra shoes that fit well and also have enough room for my toes.

My 4th pair of Altra Olympus, and they finally NAIL it. They are a bit shorter in the toe than the 1 or 1.5 Olympus, and my longest toe can graze the front, but only if I'm slowing and trotting down hill. Which for me is perfect. Also think the cushioning isn't as unnecessarily plush as the earlier models. Already have 2 pair and am constantly shopping for deals on more. Although if I can't find a deal. I'll just totally wear them out and buy another pair.

This is my 4th pair of Altras, but my first pair of the Olympus 2 model. I read the reviews, many of which recommended ordering a half size larger. I decided to go with the same size as my other Altras, and found that the recommendations were correct. I exchanged them for a half size larger and they fit great. Zappos customer service is world class! I called one day to ask for an exchange and I had the new pair the next day! The Olympus are narrower than the Lone Peak 2 model, and also have a thicker sole which has. more cushioning. I wear the Lone Peaks hiking in the Smoky Mountains and the Olympus are my every day shoes. Love them!

Best shoe I have owned. I have run for over 25 years on all different shoes (Nike, Saucony, and most recently Asics). I have a very flat sole and neutral gait. This was the quickest break in time of any I have owned. Great cushion and very comfortable. I like the zero balance architecture and expanded toe box. My toes splay broadly and I my feet have been squeezed with some shoes previously. No such problem here.

The previous version of this shoe was good; this one is great, with better traction and durability in the tread. I found it fit me best in a half size larger than what I normally wear. (Note that the Altra Lone Peak fits me in my normal size. The Olympus is quite a different design, presumably accounting for the quirk of fit.) There is no good reason to wear a shoe, running or otherwise, with any drop and solid medical and biomechanical reasons not to. That makes Altra about the only company, save for the minimalist shoe makers, that gets it. If I have any choice, I'll never again wear anything other than zero-drop shoes.

Great shoe! Love the new lugs!! Took them out for a run in the woods and they handled the rock, mud, and climbs perfectly. Had to get half size up, like everyone else noted.

The best Altra shoe I've tried. I love the Olympus 1 but I like these even better. A bit less cushioning (still plenty) but a support that is perfect for long walks. I now wear them all the time. A great shoe! Order a half size up. I usually wear a size 11 1/2 but in these I need a 12.

I'll freely admit that after the original version of the Olympus I didn't bother getting the 1.5s because they just weren't improved nearly enough. Well that isn't the case with the 2.0s, they finally stepped it up with this edition. The traction is great with the grippy Viabram sole. This is a shoe you can trust to give you traction. Also it doesn't have that same toe drop off as the 1.0s and 2.0s, it feels like a good balance between the thick sole and a shoe that let's you feel the ground. The upper is more rugged and fits really well. I actually really liked the yellow and blue shoe. I'm really happy with these kicks.

Altra is the greatest shoe ever but this model runs small so I'm sending back for a larger size. Hope it works and they haven't changed the new model too much.

The wide toe box, and excellent support are the shoes best features. The downside is the heel areas which could have been made narrower and higher to Prevent slippage.

I've put a couple of 10 and 11 mile runs in these, both on trails and pavement. The comfort is great...maybe a touch less cushioning than my HOKA Bondi, but I don't think there is another shoe out there with THAT much cushioning. Even after 10+ miles on pavement my legs feel pretty good. The foot shaped toe box feels great and natural as soon as you slip the shoe on. I went with this shoe not so much because I wanted a trail shoe, but because of the Vibram outsole...hoping it would be longer lasting. I don't even have 100 miles on them yet, but I think they will be quite durable. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars overall was because the thin fabric film on the insoles started coming unglued. No big deal, just put new insoles in. I called ALTRA and they shipped some out for free. Great customer service from ALTRA and Zappos.

Great for those with wide feet and those who prefer zero drop or low drop shoes. Excellent cushioning, comparable to Hoka Challenger. The sole is perfect for trails, very tacky. I would prefer that the sole was slightly rockered though, like the Hokas. The biggest drawback is the heel cup (or lack of one); it's huge and doesn't lock your heel in. My heels move too much which could lead to blisters in long races.

I like my Altra Olympus, for the greater bottom foot protection that previous models didn't have (LP 2.5s) that I've needed on some of the very technical, rocky and rooty terrain in the Pacific NW. However, I'm greatly disappointed in the durability of the canvas, that will rip out within 150-200 miles, or less! My previous LP 1.5's still had a great inner, arch rock guard, that distributed the load to the folds in the toes, where most the wear would occur, but within a reasonable time frame and distance, closer to over 300 miles. I will, buy another pair of Olympus' shoes, mainly because I've appreciated how all my Altra shoes fit, happy feet make a happy runner. But Oooo, the price I pay every 2-3 months!
I'd also recommend:
All the Altra brands work well for me, but specifically, the Lone Peak series have been great.

These are very disappointing. Alta has re-designed all of its new shoes to a more narrow medium that brings them closer to the median/average foot of standard consumers. I need wide shoes and the previous versions of the medium Altra fit great. No more. And Altra does not offer wides. So I can no longer wear the Altra brand shoe. Good bye, Altra.

Love Altras. Altras give my Morton's Neuroma great relief. This shoes got a nice update. The tongue is better. Stays in place now. One disappointment was that the padding in the back collar tends to get pushed down to over time. I contacted zappos about this and they replaced my shoes though, because they are zappos and their service is second to none!

I ended up going up a full size compared to the Olympus 1.5. They still might be a bit narrower than the 1.5's but they are ok. Certainly the Vibram sole is a plus. It is stiff for handling rough terrain and very grippy. I think it is certainly the biggest plus for the new model. Once again Zappos made it easy to eventually get the correct size!

I had to exchange for a full size larger than my Olympus 1 and 1.5s. They seem to have fixed the tread problem being too slippery in mud/wet by adding more lugs. This is my favorite Altra for both road and trail.

Nice shoes, I bought them to wear at work where I am on my feet all day. Came with cheap thin laces I replaced right away, the shoes are in strange colors and materials but they get dirty and you don't notice. This is my second pair of Altra shoes, no more Nikes!

Run small. Buy at least a 1/2 larger than regular size. Width and foot bed are excellent. Have flat feet and these have great support. Pricey but worth the price.

I tried out a few Altra's as I have a 2E foot and was craving some space. Well, none of the sizings worked - it is just a bit tight around the midsole, and the shoes just plain are not that fashionable. Zero drop was definitely interesting to try, though.
