Great Casual Shoe

I have 4 pairs of these now.. The white sole does get dirty on heavy usage. But the comfort and style outweigh all other factors. J&M Please sell original laces that come with the shoes... can't find good ones to match and your replacements are not as nice.

Very comfortable and light

I have been looking for very comfortable casual wear shoes for a while and when I was at my friends house a few weeks ago he was wearing a pair of Johnston & Murphy shoes. I asked him where he got them they look great and very comfortable he said Johnston & Murphy. I had never heard of that store. I travel all the time for work and saw they had a store in O'hare so my next work trip the following week I made a stop at Johnston & Murphy and bought a pair of casual dress shoes and I absolutely love them. I am wearing them right now heading to the airport. One of the most comfortable and stylish shoes I own. Thanks Johnston & Murphy it won't be last purchase either.

I'm on my feet a lot and needed a pair of shoes that look good with summer business casual wear and are comfortable. These fit the bill pefectly. I like them so much, that I bought a second pair in a different color.

I bought the shoes for a recent European vacation. I was looking for a shoe that was comfortable but more stylish than a sneaker. These shoes were perfect. They were comfortable walking all day and looked nice enough to go into the night. I have also worn them with shorts. A great addition.

A great Summer season shoe to wear.

Wear these shoes anytime I want a casual but stylish look with both jeans and my chinos. Love the retro look of the boat shoe with the great mix of the two different canvas color and leather trim.

These have replaced my athletic shoes as my summer favorites; they're comfortable and stylish, and my wife thinks I'm cool in them. They really go with just about anything and have held up well so far. I like the leather strip in back that helps with durability. The J&M store manager at Mall of America searched inventory and had these and a pair of the perfed slip-ons shipped to my home in a couple of days with no shipping charges, which is a great service to customers.

Great for dressing up shorts (opposed to sandals) and great for making jeans a bit more casual - - very versatile

These fit well and wear well. I have two pairs of these in the slip-on version as well, and these shoes have replaced my athletic shoes as my favorites. I especially like the leather strip on the heel to prolong wear. They are very comfortable, and I've received a number of compliments on them and inquiries about where to buy them.

I really don't like writing reviews because everyone will go out and buy these shoes and I really don't want everyone wearing my shoes. I don't own a pair of white bucks only because I don't like showing off or dressing 2loud.. but these 'kicks' are nice because they look quiet but bold at the same time. I don't own jeans but these casual lightweight joints look great with chinos, linen, or a pair of light color slacks. Straight or slim legs, it don't-matter these shoes will give you the style you're looking for. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller to tweak my look so it wouldn't look like I'm wearing a pair of ski's. By ordering a 1/2 size smaller I not only kept the fabric from sagging but also maintained a full fit shoe overtime by eliminating the sag while wearing them. Remember, these shoes are made of really soft canvas so a 1/2 size smaller will always give the shoe a full looking fit without those sagging impressions. So, when I first received these shoes I used a stretcher overnight and was good-2-go.
