I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2. Recommendation from Zappo's was to get an 8. Way too small so I returned and ordered 8 1/2. It was also way too small. By this time, the shoes were no longer on sale and had returned to the regular price; a price I cannot afford. I love the shoes and would have tried a 9, but since no longer on sale, I did not reorder.

This is a second review of this product. My thoughts on this shoe are (sigh) turnig into a bit of a saga. I wrote before that I wear a 7 or 7.5 but the size 7 seemed loose. I ordered a 6.5 but could not comfortably put them on. I wrote a review that I'm keeping the 7 and returning the 6.5. Later the same day, I was thinking about the person who wrote a review somewhere that the shoes had stretched so much she couldn't wear them. I tried the 6.5 pair on again. They were better. Then I realized the footbed wasn't comfortable in the 6.5. Near the front of the shoe, there's a slight bit of a ridge for where one's toes end and connect to the foot. For me, on the size 7 it's in the right place but the uppers are too loose and the shoe flops as I walk. With the 6.5, the uppers are now great from just a few on and off tries at home but the ridge is in the wrong place. I was kind of bummed because the style of this shoe is awesome. Everyone's foot is different so worth a try 0.5 size down.

I tried these on in an Eileen Fisher store and they fit perfectly but they didn't have this color available in my size. The pair I ordered seems short in the length and really wide and loose around the ankle. Maybe slightly different than what is sold in the retail stores? BOO. I love the way they look. ?

Such a cute shoe but must return because to wide. Why can't designers make shoes for narrow feet!

These are my third pair. I have black in leather, grey in perforated suede, and these tumbled nubuck in wheat. Obvs I love these sandals; they’re probably my current favorite 3-season sandal. The perforated suede seem the most robust in terms of materials — the leather is thicker and doesn’t look like it’ll get floppy over time. The suede is definitely looser, floppier; I do think that over time they could possibly get too loose! The leather is in between the two, but closer to the floppy, soft side. I find myself wishing that Eileen Fisher would be more consistent as to the quality/thickness of their leathers for this style. (If I’d paid full retail on the wheat nubuck pair, I would’ve sent them back. But they were discounted 50% AND I had a $30 Zappos coupon, so for $67, I kept them.)

Beautiful sandals with buttery soft leather. Interesting and cool but ultimately had to go back because the ankle strap was too tight and the strap across the toes was too loose. I ordered an 8.5 and they were on the shorter side (potentially should have ordered a 9 for length but that would not have solved the strap situation). For reference I have a narrow, bony foot and the width of the sandal fit perfectly.

I loved the look and the softness of the leather but when I put them on they were narrow through the toe area and felt like they would pinch when wearing. For this price, I need them to feel wonderful when I put them on and not be afraid they would hurt when wearing them. I hated to have to return them!

Super cute shoe. I was excited to try it on. I got the metallic beige ones. Unfortunately they were immediately uncomfortable. The back of the shoe is very stiff. The shoe was narrow and my toes still pushed forward, over the front of the toe bed. Sadly, they don't work for me, but the concept was appealing.

I felt Like Cinderellas stepsister trying on these beautiful shoes. They are soft leather with a black sole, just the right amount of heel. But they are not for someone with a high instep. After I struggled to get them on the straps cut into my foot. Sizing up would not have helped.

Unlike other Eileen Fisher sizes, esp in clothes, which tend to be huge, these run small and narrow. Leather is soft and beautiful but unfortunately, will have to return.....

These are attractive, but they cover your feet a LOT. I didn't mind that, its just a very unique shoe. The problem was the straps are not very supportive and aren't adjustable but the shoe is super heavy. I didn't feel like they would stay on, though the footbed fit perfectly (I wouldn't say I have particularly small ankles. I felt like my foot moved around a lot as I walked, this was straight out of the box, over time I would expect they would loosen. So that doesn't work. They went back.

Maybe I needed a half size larger??? I am a true 8 1/2 but in these I felt as if my toes were precariously close to the edge, and I didn't like that. I'm also wondering about the size because of how difficult these were to get on! Holy cow -- with a zipper I should have been able to just slide my foot in and call it a day, but I had to really struggle, this way and that, to get my foot in. The leather is luxuriously soft and supple -- fantastic, but there were no elastic insets for give, to provide a more secure fit. The sole was quite firm, no cushioning, and even though I'd thought (based on appearance) they would be like a sneaker base, they aren't. Nope. I like their funky style but not enough to put up with a hard, flat sole, no arch support, and a total bear to put on and remove.

I usually wear a 5-5.5 so I bought the 5.5 in this sandal. Though it was very cute, I couldn't even get my foot in enough to zip up the back zipper -- way too tight. For me with a medium width foot, if I were to reorder this shoe I would order a 6.5 -- which I never normally do. I will return them and will probably get an OTBT brand instead.

Quality control is poor on this shoe. The straps around the toe on both shoes, and ankle on the right shoe, are a nice thickness and quality. The strap around the ankle on the left shoe is notably thinner and does not fit as well or comfortably as a result. Particularly for the price, these shoes are disappointing.

I bought these 4-5 years ago and absolutely loved them. Still do, they are just getting a bit worn out so I thought I would get new ones. My normal size - 6.5 was too small overall, so I returned for a size 7, which was a bit tight around the ankle still but the strap around the toe was very loose. The sizing seems to have changed and just didn't work for me. I was super sad, but found a different EF style that worked instead.

Beautiful shoe and the metallic suede is a lovely color. Suede is soft. The strap over the toes is considerably tighter and narrower than described. They were very uncomfortable, as a result. If you don't have extremely narrow feet, you may want to think twice.

I’ve adored the look of this shoe for several years. And each year I purchase a pair in hopes that they will be comfortable. Hence my recent purchase. But like all the others, these are going back as well. While I would guess that they will stretch over time since they are leather, they are so tight on my 7.5M feet, that wearing them around the house to test them out is painful. As I said, I love the look of the shoe, but the cut is just not working for me. ??

I love the style and concept for this sneaker sandal, but the Eileen Fisher brand runs impossibly narrow. I wear a conventional 7 - 7.5, and only sometimes need to choose brands that tend toward generous width. I sense that the support in the sole would be comfortable all day if the width were adequate, so it’s even more disappointing that they run so narrow.

I tried a 7 and 7.5 and neither felt comfortable. I thought if I went up another 1/2 size the straps would be too lose and the length too long. Overall a strange fit which is too bad because they felt like sneakers on..... The leather is beautiful, though! So I have no advice for anyone who is interested in them.

This sneaker/sandal is darling but did not work for me. The strap across the ball of your foot is huge! i could get my hand and my foot under the strap but I do have a narrow foot. Seems like they would be really comfortable.Too bad!

I paid full price on these and discovered that the insole is very hard. I expected the insole to be padded like the average shoes at the very least but it wasn't even close. It's hard like a board so after walking in it for 15 minutes, it uncomfortable. My flip flop sole is much more comfy and has give over these. The insole feels like it's just covered with leather and nothing else. No padding. What the hell. Big fail on this part.

I own three pairs of this sandal and this one did not fit the same- too small and too narrow. Also, the dye was much more muted.

Wanted these forever! They are stunning. Couldn’t get my foot into the Sandler There is no support since the suede is very soft. May have stretched with wear but my foot was very squished and could not get the zipper up
