Straps too short to accommodate wide foot and high arch. Couldn't even get them on. Would be nice if more styles came in Wide and with longer straps for high arches.

Chaco needs to go back to the drawing board w these. Ugh though initially I thought comfortable, their true colors shown thru quickly. There are a couple of big design flaws in these sandals. The strap that comes around and is adjustable is way too long and leaves a big long “tail” I guess you could somehow cut it off but why should this be necessary? Or at least give a loop or someplace to tuck the tail in. Another flaw is the part of the sandal that goes Around the heel is NOT adjustable but should be. Lastly after wearing these part of one day trekking around kauai, each side heel strap rubbed causing identical blisters on each foot. So disappointed in these sandals I wish I would never have kept them. I only hope someone from Chacos reads this review so they can make some needed changes. Truly disappointed and would not recommend anyone purchase these and I also doubt I would purchase Chacos again. Waste of money!

I really wanted to love them but the right shoe rubbed below my ankle.

The back strap isn’t fully adjustable so I was unable to tighten them securely to my feet. The size is perfect but without being able to tighten them enough they’re no better than basic flip flops.

I really wanted to love these, but I just don't think Chacos are for me. I have a very skinny (but long) foot and typically wear a size 7.5, so I ordered both the 7 and the 8 in these so that I could see which I felt better in. The 7 was *way* too small. The arch support in it hit my foot in all the wrong ways, and every time I took a step forward and bent my foot, my toes would be pushed forward and basically off the sole of the shoe. Put that one back in its box pretty quick. Tried on the 8. The sole of the 8 fit my foot much better. Arch support and everything was in the right place. However, the heel strap (which is not adjustable) was just too loose. I tightened the rest of the straps as much as I could, but I felt like my heel would just be slipping around too much. I also felt like there wasn't quite enough material at the back of the shoe to really protect my heel from rocks/thorns/etc. but I was hoping to use these for moderate to heavy hiking, so. Maybe if you plan on wearing these more as laid-back sandals than as hiking shoes, they'd work (or if you have a bigger heel). But I just didn't feel like they would be secure enough on my foot. Back to the old-style water hiking shoes I go.

I love the look of these and I was super excited about them but when I tried them on my wide foot they were extremely uncomfortable and too narrow. The straps didn't have any give at all. Had to return them.

I loved the way these look. These would have been my first pair of Chaco's. I ordered an 8 when I usually wear an 8.5. I just didn't like where the arch hit my foot. Not for me, not sure if it's a Chaco thing or size thing but I returned.

I wear a 7 1/2 in a running shoe, the size chart said to get a 7 so I did. I also have a normal width a B in shoes. The 7 in length was ok, but the straps were too tight no matter how I moved them and the width seemed to narrow. The color was not true to the picture, it looks more on the brown side but the true color was green when I received them. They were nicely made but just did not work for me.

I haven't owned Chacos in many years but loved the ones I had. I wanted to love these too, but the design of the footbed is uncomfortable. The outside of my left arch kept riding up on the side of the shoe. I thought I could ignore it but it was too uncomfortable. I had to return them.

Too much arch support for my feet. I wish there was less arch support and not as think of a sole. The adjustable straps were fine to adjust for my feet. However, each end of the strap would have a bit left over hanging.

I so wanted these to fit my 5 wide foot, but they were too narrow, and the straps that cross the foot are not adjustable. Sadly, I'm returning them.

I love the idea of a sandal with the toe loop, however, my toes are too large to fit comfortably! Plus, the weight of this sandal was very heavy for me to be comfortable. I normally wear an 11W, this was a 12M...the size was correct but not for my feet. I have arthritis and this would not work. I wear a solid 11W in Keen’s for reference.

I’ll be honest, I’ve been trying to break these in for about 2 weeks and I am not a fan. This is my first pair of Chacos - if I could return them I would (can’t, been wearing them to break them in). I just cannot get the toe strap comfortable. I popped over to the Chaco website for tips and I read that they don’t recommend this style for people with high arches bc of “toe tightening”. I’m not even sure what that means, but my goodness, I’m sure that is what is happening. BUT, they seem like a high quality shoe. The sole is comfortable. Just this dang toe strap.

My daughter got one wearing, literally ONE, and the outsole on the toe separated. For a sandal that costs more than a hundred bucks this tells me that chacos are all style, no substance.

I was so disappointed in these!! I was hoping to replace my clunky Keens with something a little more feminine with similar comfort. These were a pain to get on my feet...straps twisted up and the buckle doesn’t actually buckle so you can’t undo it to put these on. I don’t want to have to tighten and adjust and fight with them to throw them on quickly. The soles felt like walking on tiny gravel with the bumps. Not comfortable at all. And I wear 10 and 11 in many brands (no one makes 10.5) and these felt really snug. They went back. Sadly...cuz they were super cute for an athletic sandal!

Does not fit well. The toe thong tightens as you walk and squeezes your big toe too tight.

Not nearly as comfortable as the Z/2! Such a disappointment for Chaco. The 1st day I wore them, I got blisters. I have a high instep and require a high arch in shoe to be able to wear them all day. The arch is not comparable to any of the other Chacos I have. Not as good support as what I'm used to from Chaco. But more comfortable than any other waterproof sandal that I know of. Will definitely not purchase this style footbed from Chaco again. I am keeping them, because they are exactly the colors I was looking for. Compared to any other brand it would be a 5 star. But compared to the Chaco Z/2, it's only a 2 star!

There is a design flaw - I was unable to get past the strapping that should come over the top of my foot.

I chose these after my orthopedic dr told me I have high arches, but these sandals have way too much arch for me. These hurt my feet so bad!

What the heck happened to chacos!? I tried the wide size, and the mid strap was INCREDIBLY tight - more so than the regular width I had before. The toe strap and the metatarsal straps were floppy. I can’t imagine a human being having anatomy like that. It is truly bizarre.

I….don’t get these shoes? People rave about them so I decided to try but it’s like you need an engineering degree to get the right fit. I just couldn’t get them right and can’t imagine having to adjust them every time I put them on. On top of that they are clunky looking. The soles are strangely large. Not for me.

I can't deal with the antiquated straps an complicated way to tighten/loosen.
