This is my fourth pair of Chaco sandals and I love them just as much as the first. They do run a little large, I typically wear an 8.5/9 in tennis shoes and sandals, but the 7 fits me perfect in these.

Great fit and so much more comfortable than my older ones with a toe strap.

I purchased this sandal because I can no longer find the Chaco sandal that I really love. The sandal I love best is basically the same as this one except for the straps. The strap on this newer model is just one thicker strap of Gore Tex (?) while my older sandal has 2 thinner (more feminine) straps set next to each other, giving the same strength and durability but also a more fashionable look. That said, I live in my Chaco sandals... love the fit, the arch support, the look and the fact that they last for multiple seasons. OH! and probably most important is the pull-to-tighten and flip-up-to-loosen buckle closure... so much better than Velcro; in my experience, they never loosen or slip off your feet unless you want them to.

This is my third pair of this comfortable Chaco style. I have narrow feet and problems with plantar fasciitis and sore Achilles tendons, and these provide me with plenty of stability and support. Another reviewer said that the Periscope is actually navy blue, and I respectfully disagree. It's a deep blue-gray, and to my eyes looks deep gray when worn with gray and deep navy when worn with navy. A very versatile color!

I have fallen arches, mild plantar fasciitis, and fat feet (not wide, just fat LOL). I work part time in retail and spend 5-8 hours a day standing on a hard concrete floor. At the end of the day my back hurts and my hips feel out of place. I have been eyeing these shoes for years but could never justify the normal $105 on a pair of sandals I thought ugly. I finally took the plunge and purchased the lavender monochrome color way, with a rare Zappos sale. THESE ARE AMAZING!!!! They do have a break in period as your foot gets used to proper support. Unbeknownst to me, I wore these to work for 8 hours (not broken in). My feet were hurt and angry, but my body was fine, none of the usual body pain I associate with standing for too long. I have finally gotten past the break in period and am already looking for my second pair. I much prefer the aesthetic of the monochrome series over the OG black sole and multi colored straps. I will be getting the boots for desk job and sneaker for when a sandal is not appropriate. Save your coin, buy these sandals, suffer though the few days of break in, then live your best Chaco life. Your feet and body will be happy and the compliments will be nonstop. Stop reading this AND GET THESE SANDALS. Oh and I normally wear a womens size 8 and that's exactly what I bought.

My college-age daughter wears Chaco sandals every day until the snow gets deep enough that she has to switch to boots. She loves them. I could see that they have more arch support than most sandals, and decided to give them a try. But I have bunions, especially one large one on the pinkie toe side of my foot, right where sandal straps typically hit, so I wasn't sure the Chacos would work. I deliberately chose the Z/1 style, thinking it would be most likely to succeed, and happily, these sandals feel great on my feet! I have very high arches, and normally wear custom orthotics. These shoes don't give me the support my orthotics do, but they are quite decent for sandals -- like the support I get from my Birks, but these are sandals I can wear in water, sand or mud without fear of ruining them. I normally wear an 8, and found the sandal TTS. I wore it around the house for several hours with no discomfort, even on the tricky parts of my feet. I'll do that a few more times before I venture out for all day wear, but so far find them comforable and easy to adjust to my feet.

This is my fifth pair of Chacos. Im obsessed! This is however my first pair without the toe strap. I love the design of these so I decided to try no toe strap and I am glad I did. For wearing around the house and around town they are perfectly comfortable! If I go hiking I would definitely switch to a pair with the toe strap for more security since my feet slide around just a bit less with the toe, but that is just my preference to the toe strap these last ten years. But overall one more pair I absolutely love!

This is my second pair of Chacos, I got my first pair over 12 years ago and they were the traditional wrap-around-the-toe ones. I ordered these, because in the end, I didn't find the toe wrap very comfortable. We are about to go on a cruise and I needed something that I could wear to the beach and get wet, but also walk a good distance in, so I ordered these. They were comfy right out of the box. I usually wear a wide and these were no different. I feel like these are a bit lighter and less clunky than my chacos from way back. BTW I also have a high instep, so being able to adjust the straps so they fit just right is awesome.

Love these shoes! I have gotten so many compliments. I definitely like not having the toe strap. I wear a 9 in chaos, but a 9.5 in most running shoes.

I wear an 8.5WW or 9WW, depending on the shoe. I got these in the 9WW and I'm happy. Especially in sandals, I don't like any part of my foot to be near the edge. The 9WW give me the protective edge I want. Besides having wide feet, I also have a bunion on one foot and can't bend the large toe on my other foot due to arthritis. The strap on the shoe sits nicely in front of the bunion. And the stiff sole is what I look for so there's no need to bend my arthritic toe. These shoes also make my feet look smaller, which is a nice plus given the size and width of my big feet. So far I'm loving these sandals. My only concern is the roughish sole that touches the bottom of my feet. For longer walks, I may need to wear socks.

A great shoe for many people, however the sole is too rigid for me. I have a very delicate spine and need a shoe with a flexible sole.

I'm going to keep them - BUT the strap design could be a bit better. Not easy to distribute the strap and unable to adjust the back strap tension. I have a super wide toe box that requires more room in front and wish the back could be a bit tighter. I hope they don;t rub. But they are good for outdoor mess walking! Washable and offer god support.

My feet are slightly wider at the front, and I definitely needed the wide width in these shoes. The heel strap is not adjustable, but it is not so loose that it will create an issue. The style does nothing to make my feet look pretty or dainty, but then again, that's not the purpose of these shoes. They are great for water activities and have quite a bit of arch support compared to other brands I have tried.

I have loved this sandal for years and own several pair. Beware the "Flame Scarlet" color, however. On the website, it appears to be a true red, which is what I wanted. In person, the color is a pinkish neon orange, so I am sending them back. I really wanted red, so I am sad.

My only concern is the texture under foot. I have sensitive feet, and the texture after a lot of walking sometimes feels like a rope burn.

I had to return these. The back strap was digging into my foot. Also you can’t adjust the front strap, which I did not realize by the picture. Otherwise the sandals seemed very comfortable, just could not deal with the back strap issue.

The heel of this sandal sits almost if not past the heel of the sandal. The back strap does not tighten, making the shoe bigger 1/2 to 1 size too big. I had 1/2 to 1 inch of extra length for y toes. If the back strap coud tighten and bring my foot forward, it would have been much better. The width was spot on for my wide foot. I did return bc of he length and will try another style possibly.

One of the shoes fit great, like my other chacos I’ve owned for years. The right foot however had a different length strap and I couldn’t get my foot in, also the buckle was stuck on the inside of the foot when it’s supposed to be on the outside. I think I just got a weird pair bc the others I have worked perfectly.

I am sure these are nice shoes, however DO NOT order them from Zappos. Mine just arrived and I opened the box to find just ONE SHOE. And I would like these shoes ASAP, but cannot get a customer service rep on the phone. Will I have to exchange these, and wait for the shipping and return to process to get my shoes? You are so much better off supporting a local small business. DO NOT order from Zappos--you get the customer service you pay for (discounted and cheap)

My favorite shoes ever. They are so cute, easy to get on, and comfortable. I've worn them walking 30k steps at Disney and doing a 30 mile bike ride.

Felt a bit longer than I needed even though I usually order a size 8 sandal. Loved the firmness of this sandal, great for my plantar foot, and the adjustments that can be made. However, the strap over the top of the foot had a strap that was overly long . Why?
