I like the Salina because of how high the straps come up on my foot. With skinny feet, I can often feel like sandals are going to slip off, but not with these.

these are HUGE. i've worn a 39 in birkenstocks forever. these make me wonder if i need to even go down to a 37.

The style is very nice looking and dressier than the standard Birkenstock. Wish there were more color options available but excited to wear these as we travel.

I have a wide foot. I usually wear a 39 in regular width Birkenstocks with no difficulty. And that is what I ordered here. The problem is that the straps are short. My foot fits in the footbed just fine, but the straps make my foot feel straightjacketed. No good. I previously had a pair of silver Granada's in 41 - those were narrow width and overly long, but my dog got to them, so I am looking for a better fitting replacement. The search continues.

I'm a Birkenstock lover because I value comfort. I bought these because I wanted something a little less clunky than Arizonas for a change. However, I always wear the same size, 38, and found the straps on these a little tighter than those or my favorite Granadas, even on the loosest position. Perhaps it's because of the cross strap? I kept them because overall I like the style. I may have to get an extra hole put in the straps, though.

They are really cute and comfortable, the only problem is that I have long feet (size 11/11.5) and the straps on these are too narrow to be flattering on a long foot

The middle strap seems a bit wanky, but actually looks fine.

Lovely footbed, looks-better-on-the-foot design, good sturdy materials. I liked the S-shaped strap for a little extra security on my foot and a graceful touch. The upper buckling strap comes in just above the bony joint at the top of my instep. This drops the strap right into the tendons there. If that feels secure to you, rock on. It feels awful to me so I set it back.

Love the look of this but the middle strap does not adjust. It's floppy on my foot and looks weird. Unfortunately I have to send these back.

The style is less clunky looking than most Birkenstocks and I like the neutral color, but the foot bed is hard and seems narrow on the outside of my foot. I will try walking on carpet again before sending them back.

I really wanted to love these since I am a Birks addict, but my toes did not hit the toe bar the way they do on my Gizeh's or Mayari's. I will be ordering another pair of Mayari's instead. The blue color is gorgeous! I really wish they had that color for Mayari.

The style is nice, however, the straps pushed my foot too far back in the shoe. I have a high instep, so it didn't hit me correctly along the strap that wasn't adjustable.

I was bummed! I ordered a size 40 in one color and received a size 41 in a different color. The box was labeled correctly to my order, but the shoes inside were not correct. I returned them and tried to order my correct shoe and Zappos said it was sold out. I do love Birkenstocks.

I really wanted the hazel color but my size wasn't available so I stalked these for like a month. Finally I got lucky and I got a hazel, size 38 narrow. The color is nothing like the picture. It's a glossy sorta beige color and yucky in my opinion. Also the narrow is too narrow in the mid foot but perfect in the toes but the regular is too wide in the toes but good in the mid foot. And other reviewers who said that the cross strap doesn't fit or lay right we're correct. I hoped for Birkenstock nirvana with this style but it's a no-go for me.

These are so cute!! I have worn Birkenstock in the past and have loved them - they haven't changed but my foot has. The bunion on my left foot has reached the point where these are no longer comfortable. My right foot loved them. Sadly I am having to return them and try a different brand. :-(

I liked the style of these, but the non-adjustable strap was strangely tight and rubbing on my left foot. The other foot felt fine. I find all Birks run a little large; I normally wear a 9.5 and size 39 fits me well.

I really liked these when I first tried them on, nice looking and feminine. Then I noticed the cross strap, which is not adjustable, stood up noticeably over my foot. I bought narrow width but the length of that strap seems like it's meant for a much wider foot. I miss the Birkenstock t-strap style that was discontinued. Sending these back.

Love these sandals! They have that Birkenstock comfort, but with an updated look. I cannot wear any of the toe thong models. I would buy another pair if they came in other colors. I did exchange the first pair for a size smaller.

I always forget Birkenstocks run big. They say 5/5.5 but they are more like a 6/6.5.

The one thing I really dislike about the Salina is that they do not bend. The arch support is great. The material is fine but the style is not flattering. I wish they would bend because the arch is so supportive.

The length and width of the 38 regular was the same as always - excellent. The only problem I had with this sandal - the Birkenstock Salina in Birko-Flor - was the Birko-Flor was very, very stiff. I have a very old pair of Birkenstock Birko-Flor sandals in the Florida style, and my recollection is that the straps on that pair, when brand new, were not so stiff. Also, the straps on my current/old pair are starting to tear/rip, which is why I needed to replace them. I opted for the Birkenstock Florida, leather, soft footbed, same size as always, 38 regular. The leather straps are not as stiff and will soften even more as time passes.

This Birkenstock hit my foot near a bone in the upper arch that hurt me. I have several Birkenstocks, but they did not have straps that irritated my bone. They are very attractive shoes, but not good for me.

Decent, but the fixed strap was a bit snug and I’m searching for a sandal I can easily slide my feet into without having to adjust/re-adjust the buckles. I thought these would work, but I will have to return.

Uncomfortable fit

I loved the looks of these Birkenstocks but my foot is narrow and the decorative additional strap arches away from the foot. This strap is not adjustable and isn't functional at all. It just sticks up there. Could put a finger between my foot and the strap. Sorry, have to return them.
