I bought these shoes to use for deadlifting competition and while I have only used them once, they felt very supportive around the ankles and comfortable on the feet in general. I recommend them for sport or casual wear.

If you love the classic all stars, these are even more comfortable.

When I was younger, Chucks were my all-time go to shoe. I loved them, I got older my kneed suck my ankles suck and I had to stop wearing chucks. With The Chuck II everything has changed. The new insole and added support in the walls of the shoe make a world of a difference for me. I feel that these are much more comfortable then the old school chucks. I am so happy with the enhancements they made to the designs. The shoes feel great and the wear really well. This purchase was actually my second pair because I loved my first pair so much. The color is truly striking and vibrant. The Logo is a beautifully stitched patch. I also love the new thicker shoe tung, it no longer falls down or creases awkwardly in the middle. Well done. I love this shoe.

I LOVE these. I've worn Chuck Taylor All Stars exclusively since 2004, which aren't true to size. I'm a 10.5 and with original CTAS, I would order a 10. With the CTAS II, the 10.5 felt great and include nice improvements to make this my new go-to.

I have been eyeing these shoes for the past year and for some reason or another, I always put buying them off. I finally decided to make the purchase and I do not regret it one bit. These are waaaaaaaay lighter than original Converse I have and love that these Chuck IIs have arch support as well. The burgundy color is just beautiful and can even be used as a neutral. I wore them all day the day they were delivered to break them in, and couldn't be happier with them. If anyone is on the fence about purchasing these shoes, think no more and invest! I will be getting a backup pair soon and will be purchasing them in black and grey as well.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. Says they are super comfortable. He wears them all the time. Ordered his normal size in Chucks and they fit perfectly.

My 18 year old son really loves these. He was told to order a half size down since they run a little large and that was right on. They are very comfortable and one thing he liked is the tongue is slightly padded so it doesn't slide over like his other converse shoes.

Bought this as a present for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. He said it's the most comfy Converse he has worn! He's even thinking of getting another pair in a different color cause he loves it that much :)

I purchased a pair as a gift for my young adult son after noticing the pair he has worn almost constantly for the past two years was looking long in the tooth. He had no qualms about a replacement pair since the worn-out pair was a tried and true favorite. The bordeaux color is a classy-looking neutral, adding some pop to his wardrobe of muted colors. He went with a size 12, up from the usual 11.5, due to some narrowness thru the baby toe section. The added length solved the issue without making the shoes too long. He's a fan of the II's added arch support.

I have never received so much compliments in my life! Even at work (I work in a hospital), I get complimented left and right! Huge improvement from the original Chuck Taylor. Arch support, COMFORT, and now, the tongue doesn't slip to the side anymore! Love this shoe so much, I now have 4 pairs!

Considerably more comfortable than the standard Chuck T's. They still run about a half size large.

Very comfortable and fits well. It takes a bit of a breaking period to get used to them but it's a good shoe.

I have been wearing Chucks for well over 20 years. I usually have to add my own insoles 'cause let's face it, they weren't very comfortable. The IIs are a huge imporvement. Not as padded as, say, a New Balance 990, you still shouldn't run in these, however for normal wear my feet already feel happy. I also appreciate the subtle style differences, makes the shoes look sleeker. Overall I'm really happy and will buy another low-top version.

These Chucks are cool-looking AND comfortable thanks to the Nike Lunarlon insole cushioning. They come with two sets of shoelaces - black and white - for two different looks. They are made of a tougher canvas than the original Chuck Taylors so it feels sturdy around your ankles rather than flimsy. Excellent service from Zappos with both ordering and delivery!

What a great shoe. The new Converse feels premium some reviews didn't like that the canvas material is much thicker, but on my feet its a welcome and as always Zappos customer service is great. I also have low top blue, white camo special edition, burgundy, had to get a few pair...also the new shoe I'd say its safe to get true to size due to more thicker canvas its a different shoe for sure .. pick up a pair.

I got these for my daughter's birthday. She loves them. She really likes the extra padding on the sole.

Classic sneaker! Additionally, with modern upgrades like comfort. Best Converse to date. The perfect shoe will be the Converse 2 in leather. I hope they make those in the fall.

These fit a little different than the classic chuck taylors,because of the insole, order your usual size! the style is the same classic style but they are a little sturdier and way more comfortable. Well worth the price!

I sized up by 1/2 a size to an 8 and that was perfect. I use orthotics and I had to stuff them in, but they slipped in and out just fine after a couple of wears. This new style is great because you can remove the insoles and replace with your own.

Pretty easy to review: they're Chucks that are comfortable. If you've ever had a pair of converse, you know how your feet feel by the end of the day. These are better in nearly every way while retaining the classic look and a lot of the classic high top feel. Seriously, they're great.

Old school look. New school materials. Super comfortable. Really happy with this purchase.

Always have loved converse but hate how hard and flat they are... these are so different than the original converse and so soft and comfortable! Definitely worth the price difference!

Shoes are great! Can totally tell there is more squish in them compared to the Original Chucks and these seem to run about a 1/2 size smaller. I had to exchange two pairs for larger sizes and at Zappos it was so easy!
