Comfort is improved over the standard Chuck Taylor, mostly due to the better insole. The fabric is thicker as well, which seems to improve durability, but also means they take a bit longer to break in. They run a touch longer than the original, but sizing is still the same for me, i.e. a half size larger than most other shoes. The outsole is starting to separate from the sides after 11 months, but I've been wearing these shoes about four days out of the week for most of the year, so it's not unexpected.

Love these Chuck IIs! I've been a fan of the old chucks for years, and wanted to try the new ones. I ordered a whole size larger than normal, and it fits perfectly. They are sooo nicely padded, you can wear them all day, no matter what terrain you'll be walking on. Please make these in leather!!!

I just got these and love them. I am a size 10 in most sneakers, and ended up needing a 9.5 in these, and if I didn't want to be lazy and return twice (I originally ordered a 10 & 10.5 after reading reviews thinking I needed to size up) I feel I could have even gone down to a full size to a 9. But the Lunarlon sole makes these comfortable for this type of a shoe, which was the main reason I got them. I recommend them!

The All Star II is significantly more comfortable than the original All Star Core Ox. Having owned a few different Converse All Star styles, I can say that these are the most comfortable out of any that I've worn. They can easily be worn all day while walking. However, the downside to this style is that there's less room in the shoe due to the thicker insole. People with wide feet may find it a tight fit. In terms of style, these do not have the black stripe that is on the side of other Converse All Star shoes. I miss that black stripe! I found that Zappos has the best selection of colors and sizes. I wasn't able to find my size locally, so thank you Zappos.

I love the added support in this shoe, but because of the added support this shoe is too narrow for my foot. Unfortunately, I have to go with the original Converse sneakers with the cardboard-like support.

Solid improvement over the originals. I have tried to wear the original Chucks but found that they are too narrow and not very forgiving. These are much more comfortable for all-day wear and don't leave my feet worn out at the end of the day.

I have had these for a couple of weeks and I believe they are exactly what I had hope they would be: Cons for grown ups! Due to my wide feet, few shoes fit me, but I feel a bit silly approaching 40 in shoes that I wore in high school! These shoes fit more less the same, but look somewhat professional. There is actually something resembling arch support and having the tongue anchored is quite nice. Of course, since they are more substantial, they do not breathe as well as old-school Cons. So it Goes. Yes, I just evoked Vonnegut in a online review for shoes.

Overall, I like these. It's nice to have a little bit of padding. I wish they retained the white stitching and black stripe, but they do come with white laces, which is nice. I tried both my normal all-stars size, and a half-size bigger, and went with the bigger ones. They still feel like I've got a little too much room in the toe, but the smaller ones were painfully tight.

Love the new cushioned version of the classic All-Star. I usually wear a 7.5 in closed shoes, but ordered both 7 and 7.5, after reading other reviews that recommended sizing down. The 7.5, my regular size was just right. My feet are not officially wide, but these sneakers are a bit narrow in general.

I have been wearing Converse for years and I always order the same size. These however were uncomfortably tight across my toes/the arch of my foot. The new insole leaves less space in the shoe for your foot. I am reordering a half size larger and hoping that that works. I would suggest if you have not tried on a pair of the new design, to try them on in a store first if you can.

There is a plus and a minus to this modified Chuck. The plus is that walking on concrete for long stretches at a time is comfortable with the extra thick cushioning. The minus is there is less room for a slightly heavy sock. If I use a thin (nylon type) sock or just use baby powder then my toes have the room without feeling the toe cap pressing down. That effect isn't immediate, but my foot aches after wearing for a day.

Well made shoes and the new footbed is nice, but like the other Chuck Taylors, these did not work for my wider feet and the toe cap rubbed on my toes. I ordered up and this did not fix the issue. Too bad!

I'd been wanting to try these since they came out. I've worn Chucks for decades but have to admit they aren't very comfortable. My picky feet are getting increasingly so as I get older and I was hoping these would be a comfier alternative. The pros: They're pretty cute, keeping the Chuck Taylor style but with a few subtle changes. They are indeed more comfortable than the original, with a better insole, a bit of arch support, and fabric lining the heel, instead of that sandpaper-like canvas that can rub blisters so easly. The cons: The arch support isn't quite enough for me. The fabric on the insole is very coarse and rough feeling if worn barefoot. I can't imagine that I could walk very far without getting blisters on the bottoms of my feet from it. And the strips of fabric on the heel aren't sufficiently smooth either. Again, my feet are sensitive. I need arch support and get blisters easily. If yours aren't so problematic, these are an improvement comfort-wise over the original Chucks. Sadly, they just aren't enough so for me.

My foot is slightly narrow with a high arch, usually 7 in high heels and 7.5 in sneakers. I found the 7.5 to fit perfectly. Had to add arch support but other than that, the sneakers are very comfortable. A little hard to slip feet in. Walked around Rome for days without the heel/leg fatigue I experience with low support shoes on concrete sidewalks.

These are great looking shoes made with heavy duty quality materials. They seem to be made for a D width, if they were a slight bit wider so you could wear thicker socks they could be five star shoes.

Much more comfortable than regular Chucks. Styling is decent but wish they had the classic stripe around the toe. Good thing is, your feet won't ache after wearing them like the regular Chucks

Love the redesign of these with added comfort measures. The Lunarlon insole is thick and cushy. I was shocked that no one commented on these running big. I wear 10.5-11 in all other shoes, but these are my 2nd pair of Converse, and both pairs I've had to wear a 9.5. The 10.5 was way too big, even with socks. The 9.5 with thin socks is perfect.

Yeah for Chucks 2.0! I have loved chucks since growing up playing v-ball in the standard high tops. Unfortunately as I have aged I had been unable to wear them as they had no support and fit oddly. I had to give the 2.0 a try after reading reviews and I was not disappointed. I can finally wear Converse again and they are actually comfortable. Only issue I have from time to time is the shoe laces coming undone. Thanks Converse for the upgrade!

I wear a 9.5 in regular chucks and a 10 for other shoes. I tried these in a 10 and found them to be too big. I then tried a 9.5 and found them to be a bit too narrow. I'm keeping them, but in the future might just go back to my old standby. The materials do seem to be of a higher quality.

Wanted to love these but they just weren't for me. They have a thick sole and don't look as sleek as I was hoping.

Subtle update to the classic look. Improvements to the sole and some adjustments that look like these will last longer than the old design. Only issue is how narrow these shoes are. If you have wide feet, please avoid these shoes. You have been warned.

I miss the stripe. These were more comfortable (and more expensive) than regular chucks, but I did not like the style. The regular chucks are much more a classic. May work better in all white.

At someone that has never worn this kind of shoe before I'm not sure I would recommend it after wearing it for the past 6-7 months or so. First off, something I feel the need to say is that I've never seen anyone mention the fact that these shoes are insanely slippery on polished/laminated surfaces. I've never fallen, but theirs been several times when walking over a surface with a bit of water and just skipped over it in a way that doesn't make me feel great. Also, I've worn this shoe virtually every day over the past 6 months (aka not a full year) and I've already had the area behind my heel begin to wear down on the interior. Normal wear and tear? Probably, but that seems like an pretty short amount of time for that to develop. Otherwise its a totally fine shoe, but I do wish they were built a bit more substantially and didn't have the extremely slick soles, I just don't get that.

I wanted to love these kicks the problem is they are actually too white! And therefore will get too dirty. If you plan on wearing them to a party in a science fiction clean room go for it. If you don't mind white kicks being dirty go for it. The simply weren't for me.
